Delicious pierogis in pleasant atmosphere.
Bright, airy space. Nicely decorated. Food is served on pretty dishes in traditional Polish designs. The pierogis were delicious.
Be the first to ReplyYes you can have delicious reasonably priced food in Brooklyn; Pierozek
Looking for something different and reasonably priced to celebrate our friends birthday his wife checked the reviews, and this place seemed to fit. So off we went from Queens to Brooklyn and we were not disappointed. The space is small and inviting the hostess/owner was warm and welcoming, they were not taking reservations and it was a busy Saturday night at 7PM. We gave her our name and walked around the neighborhood for 30 minutes and returned, our table was ready. I enjoyed watching the lady behind the glass preparing the hand made pierogis. The menu offers something for everyone. I had the vegetarian, stuffed cabbage, filled with mushroom and buckwheat. It was so delicious. My husband allowed me to try the pierogies. They were made to perfection. With sides of sour cream that simply enhanced the flavor. They offered inventive cocktails and a reasonable list of teas, nonalcoholic beverages, wine and beer. We completed our meal with a sweet cheese crêpe served with chocolate sauce, mixed berries, and homemade whip cream. Prices were reasonable. All I am left to say is my mouth is watering writing this review.

Be the first to ReplyExceptional pierogis in Greenpoint
We stumbled upon this great pierogi palace walking down Manhattan Ave. The rear garden is charming, the service friendly and helpful and the food exceptional. We had a cup of borscht, a serving of six savory pierogis (3 each of 2 kinds) and a summer bowl : six pierogis garnished with caramelized onions in a bowl with green and yellow squash red peppers kielbasa and gherkins. Delicious and filling, and even the crockery was attractive and tasteful
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and good Polish food
Wanted to try out a Polish restaurant in Greenpoint, since I am Polish American and was passing through NYC. So tried out this restaurant based on other reviews. Experienced great service with an attentive server. Modern style that appeared to be recently renovated with 2 separate dining areas. Very cute pierogie pillows added to the charm. Food served on Polish pottery for an authentic touch. Extensive list of pierogie filling options. We ordered the meat and potato/cheese pierogies, which were small but very tasty. Sweet pierogies with fruit and cheese filling are also on the menu. Also tried the golumpki (stuffed cabbage) with meat and tomato sauce option. I do cook my own at home with my mother's recipe and found these to be mostly rice and not enough meat. Still tasty, but would be better with more meat. Missed that potato pancakes or haluski were not included on the menu. Overall a good dining experience with great service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Polish Food
We are Polish and are leery about trying polish restaurants since we are used to our own style of cooking. I have to say that this restaurant surpassed our expectations. The food was excellent and service very good. Their prices were very reasonable, and we will definitely come back again. They have a nice outdoor space, or you can dine in. We ordered the Kielbasa Dish, Stuffed Cabbage and Pierogi with Murray’s Cheese, Sweet Cheese and the Ruskie (potato and cheese filling).

I had the meat Pierogies which were made with pork shoulder and they tasted just like my Babcia’s, (grandmother) What a nostalgic treat! Delicious. Friendly staff too
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Polish cuisine in Greenpoint!
I learned about this wonderful establishment through a Polish-American friend who works in Greenpoint. This informal restaurant serves a wide range of delicious homemade pierogies and other Polish specialties in a relaxed and cheerful environment. The menu includes several "combination" options, so you can sample a variety of pierogies with different fillings - which are served with a delicious sour cream/dill sauce on the side. (I particularly liked the japaleno/cheese ones, which were pan-fried and topped with bacon bits.) I also ordered the spring salad - prepared with fresh, interesting ingredients and a nice compliment to the pierogies. And save room for dessert! We ordered the raspberry/sweet cheese and blueberry pierogi combo, and both were outstanding! Our server was extraordinarily friendly, and we got into a great conversation about Central European cuisine. Can't wait to go back!

We (including two native Poles) ordered takeout dinner for 5 people and it was great. We had the borscht with dumplings, croquette with mushroom, meat pierogis, and the summer grill bowl. All great.
Be the first to ReplyGood pierogis but overall not as good as expected
I ordered the stuffed cabbage with meat and rice. I didn't detect any taste of meat nor did I see any. It was stuffed with rice that spilled out when I cut into the cabbage roll. My husband liked his pierogis but said he had just as good elsewhere in Greenpoint. The service was adequate although they messed up my dinner order and I got my entre after my husband finished eating. The meal was a disappointment.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated with Polish design elements throughout such as the plates, cups, wall decor, etc. It is pristine. Check out the very white bathroom with beautiful floor tiles.
We ordered mushroom sauerkraut pierogies topped with caramelizad onions which were delicious! We’ve also had a tasty cup of Borscht broth. Service was good and prices were fair.
We will be back soon to try other dishes.
I recommend it highly.
