Pearl dragon! The ambiance is a little bit dated but you don't notice it that much because of the dim lights. My waiter was very kind and the server was also considerate. The crispy rice spicy tuna was amazing and the salmon sushi was also great! I've had better before but it's very good especially for the price.

Be the first to ReplyFood was good except the restaurant was full of middle
Food was good except the restaurant was full of middle schoolers dining on a Saturday evening totally ruining the cool vibe of the restaurant. They were bouncing from table to table, sitting on top of each other, being obnoxious, yelling across to each other among families trying to enjoy a meal and girls constantly flipping their hair, putting on lipstick or shining their cell phone lights all around bothering others dining. They treated their dining like at a school cafeteria or local fast food place. The most annoying experience and the staff did nothing about their disrespectful behavior!
Be the first to ReplyThey have great vegan options.
The potstickers and tofu veggie dish were amazing. I love they have delivery as an option as well. So good
Be the first to ReplyJust ordered food from here and threw it all away.
58 dollars for 1 meal and 2 appetizers. It all smelled like garlic and the crispy beef was not crispy. Don't eat here

Food is good, but the restaurant and its offerings haven't changed in 20 years. Would like to see menu adding more variety. Perhaps some Chinese style flare as it is a fusion restaurant and there are no longer any Chinese cuisine establishments in the area.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot! We've been coming here for years.
Excellent food, amazing staff and reasonable prices. I highly recommend the tuna tartare.
Be the first to ReplyI eat here a lot.
They have lots of small plates as well as sushi. They have very tasty rolls and good main courses. They have a good bar and don't stint on the liquor. It is a very popular place and lots of families are there in the early evenings.

Walking in, I had decently high expectations, since it's in a nice area and is a local recommendation. It's has a nice ambiance, with a dark candle-lit setting. However after we ordered two regular rolls (tuna and yellow-tail) and a specialty roll (shrimp tempura) , I quite dissatisfied. As a sea-side town, you'd would expect for the seafood to at least taste authentic and fresh. Contrary to my expectations, I could barely taste the type of fish. The highlight of the whole meal, was the asparagus hidden within the shrimp roll. Because the food was bad, which is the whole point of eating at a restaurant, I can't give it any higher than 3 stars. But, the service was good. If you do decide to eat at this establishment, perhaps don't order the sushi.

-Review by 9-year-old boy-You should eat at Pearl Dragon because it has yummy food, unique decor, and it's a fun place.First of all, the quality, taste, and presentation of Pearl Dragon's food are great. The white rice is savory and rich, the sushi is delicious, they have salted caramel mochi for dessert, and the prices are a good deal.Another reason you should go to Pearl Dragon is that it has interesting decor. The sinks in the bathroom have golden dragon faucets with water coming out of their mouths. They also have a bamboo forest between two of their windows.Lastly, every time we go to Pearl Dragon our family laughs a lot.Pearl Dragon is the best dinner place for our family because it tastes good, looks good, and makes us happy. I bet you're there already!
Be the first to ReplyServer was good.
Food just wasn't that good. Muddled menu. Chinese? Japanese? Mexican? Won't be back.

Forget everything else on the menu, the avocado crispy rice is what dreams are made of! It is perfectly balanced and the rice stays crispy-if you're doing takeout. If you absolutely have to order something else you're in luck because everything is delicious!

Can't rave about this place enough! The drinks, food, service, location. All very very good. One of the best crispy tuna rolls I've ever had. Very similar to Katsuya! But without the price tag. Mojitos all day here! A must try!

Pearl dragon is a go to place in Pacific Palisades for me, or at least it used to be more so. I've been going to this restaurant for over 10 years, and it truly is a great place. The staff is extremely friendly, and the food comes out quickly and efficiently. It's a great date spot, the atmosphere is quiet (if no annoying children) and calm. You must get the spicy tuna on crispy rice, it's fantastic. I also recommend the spicy garlic edamame, chicken satay, the salmon teriyaki, filet mignon noodle bowl, rock shrimp roll, and szechuan green beans. I would do family style if with a group of 2 or more. Sharing is definitely the move for this place. I'm giving this place a 3 star review because it just does not live up to the same standard that it used to. It is still a great restaurant that you have to try at some point, but it has definitely gotten worse over the years.
Be the first to ReplyI'm shocked that this place has so many good reviews.
We came here for dinner and it was disappointing from A to Z. Although we had reservations we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated by an unpleasant hostess. For appetizers we ordered the spring rolls. They were under seasoned and very greasy. For main, we got the chicken teriyaki plate which was horrible. The chicken was rubbery and the plate was overflowing with uncooked green beans. We also got the sesame beef. It was inedible to the point we had to return the dish after one bite. We also got two sushi rolls. The fish had a weird after taste and the rolls were soaked in sauce (probably to distract from the low quality fish). Overall, it was a bad experience and we will definitely not come back.
Be the first to ReplyWe loved this place.
We weren't always weekly regulars, only because getting a sitter or getting the kids all out to dinner is such an undertaking, but we definitely averaged 3 times a month. But our last experience there sadly has ruined it for us. I have a shellfish allergy, but this place has an entire vegetarian menu so I stick to ordering from that and always triple check with the server. This time, I asked about the veggie tempura. I asked the manager specifically if it was cooked in the same fryer as the shrimp and he said no. I asked if he was sure and he kind of rolled his eyes. I was hurt but I'm not the person to make a scene so I accepted his answer and we ordered it. When the veggie tempura arrived to our table, I reached in and picked up -- you guessed it -- a fried piece of shrimp. I went back over to the manager, this time obviously concerned and he brushed it off and said it must have fallen in. A few moments later, our server who had overheard the exchange, came over and whispered that there was in fact no separate fryer. She apologized profusely for her manager and we assured her it wasn't her fault. But obviously this is very disturbing behavior and could have been a trip to the hospital for me! I will never understand why some people seem to be so inconvenienced by others having allergies.
Be the first to ReplyPD is a cute little restaurant on Sunset in the Palisades.
Been here many times, but when the pandemic hit, we were hoping it would stick around, and it sure did. We are so happy that PD is now open in full force serving its customers. For appetizers, we ordered the Yellow Tail Collar, very tasty! For the main, we ordered Soup Bowl with Shrimp and Crispy Beef which comes with some rice on the side. For drinks, we had Hot Tea ($2.50) and some Nishinomiya sake wine. All and all, it was very pleasant. The food was good and the service is on the dot.I do recommend this nice restaurant. Reservation is recommended.

Picked up a friend from the airport and decided to dine at this cute little spot before heading back to Ventura County. This is a great place for the Palisades locals. It's been years since I've been here, but always enjoy sitting at the bar. As usual, the bar packs in pretty quickly. Both the staff and the guests are very friendly. My friend and I had a great time. I am only deducting one star, because there were some female guests that were a little too drunk and inappropriate acting. They probably should have been cut-off a couple drinks earlier.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and great drinks.
Very limited menu needs expanded and the chef's are capable of more, at least in the past they were.

Be the first to ReplyIt's surprising that there's no evidence of a refresh.
Dark interior, furniture and fixtures unchanged for decades. Food is mediocre...everything is better at a number of local competitors. Prices are moderate. Host & wait staff are very friendly and helpful. Good place for very casual family dining.

Delicious food, good ambiance indoors and a nice outdoor patio. We have always experienced great service (especially if Asti is our server!)
