Went out with a girlfriend on a Friday night to Pasquale Jones and it was packed! The music was loud but had me dancing in my seat.We shared the Ricotta, Spaghetti alla Limone, and Lumache (which was definitely our favorite). The food was nothing special but the ambiance/vibes were great. Worth checking out once!
Be the first to ReplyHands down the best carbonara I've ever had.
Great staff, cozy, unpretentious... and the food is simple and perfect. Forget everyone hawking from restaurant doors to convince you they're the one true original Mulberry St. restaurant. These folks just worry about great food.
Be the first to ReplyI had heard great things about this place and was excited
I had heard great things about this place and was excited to try it when I had some family in town. Made a reservation for the outdoor patio and was seated right away, but was told that there was another reservation a few hours after us so we'd have to give up the table then. No issues there. The waiter was very friendly and attentive (almost too attentive, as he came by the table many times when we hadn't had a chance to review the menu). We are vegetarian so ordered the Brussel sprouts and focaccia to start (both good, the focaccia had a subtle lemon flavor which was unique). For the mains we ordered the Brussel sprout pizza which was a white pie (quite tasty) and also a pasta which the waiter offered to turn into a pasta pomodoro but it was basically pasta shells with very average red sauce. Was not impressed with that. For dessert we ordered the gelato with grilled pineapple which was also quite nice. What killed me was that they charged 2 bucks a person for WATER and you can call it filtered all you want but please don't charge for tap water, it's a basic commodity. Not sure if I'd go back given the number of stellar Italian places in the city but we still enjoyed our time, for the company and ambience.

Came here because I was gifted a gift card, but I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be returning. Food was below average for their price points and you can easily find better pasta and pizza in the city. Restaurant was empty when we sat down at 6pm, but our pizza took over an hour to arrive. To make it even worse, we found that the tap water they brought to the table without asking us was $2/glass.

I went with my BFF/Cousin on a Saturday night to enjoy some pizza and wine! We made reservations for the enclosed patio, however, when we arrived in time for our resy, they sat us on the outside patio. It was freezing and we let our server know right away like hey! We can't eat out here! They were so packed but she gave us an option of bar seats if the couple that was seated left soon enough, we could take their bar seats. We accepted the offer and waited. Our champagne and first pizza came and it was good! The hot honey made the Sopressata pie better so definitely drizzle that hot honey! We got lucky and the couple finally left so we got the bar seats!!! It was great and by that time We had the clam pie, My lordddddd was it delicious! A few more glasses of champagne later, I had the Pasta Al Limone and it was perfect. I can't find anything to complain about and the night was a GREAT. Ugh we had a blast and we willlll be back again!!!! It was also super fun watching the chefs at work and it was intense behind that counter ok?! It was great, Thanks for having us! The service was a lil missing after we got our bar seats but we actually enjoyed being left to chat and giggle off the champagne and watch the kitchen magic happening before our eyes, one of the front of house staff did get us extra napkins and refilled our glasses but that was towards the end. But we appreciated how kind he seemed and he did make us feel good. It was super laid back despite the pace of the scene behind the bar counter. The music was off the chain ok!? WHOEVER is in charge of the music, esp on that Saturday night, Give them a raise! Ok? A RAISE.

Pasquale Jones is a trendy Nolita Italian hot spot should be. The wine list is always a star and every course has dishes that just don't disappoint. The location is also perfect for hitting the town after a fun meal with friends. Come for date night, taking your parents out, or just because. You won't regret it! Need to know: quaint vibey Italian spot with consistently great menu & specialsMust order: Lemon pasta

We had Friday evening reservations for 4 people, and overall our experience was very poor. We were seated at the outdoor "heated" patio (what our reservation was for). The space itself was very tight and did not feel like it was heated at all. The lemon tree decor was pretty. Our waiter appeared to be very attentive at the start, but we quickly realized he was there to upsell us on everything. We were given tap water (more on this later) and chose a bottle of wine to share. The wine list itself was not well curated, as it did not have enough wines at each price point. I would guess about 75% of the wines were over $200. When the waiter came to take our wine order, he said the bottle we chose was not available, but that he had another bottle of the same type that would cost $5 more (and was not on the actual wine list). Out of principal, we kindly asked if he could sub that bottle for the same price and he declined. We ordered the bottle anyway. In terms of the food and wine experience, the wine was served a bit too cold, and the waiter did not open the bottle in front of us (typically a huge red flag for wine service). We ordered two pasta dishes and two pizzas (the clamshell and the margherita). One of the pastas came out within 10 minutes of ordering, and the two pizzas came out a full 10 minutes after that. The 2nd pasta dish never came out at all, and the waiter didn't acknowledge it until we asked him where it was. I can't speak for the first pasta dish or clamshell pizza, but the margherita pizza left a lot to be desired. The wood fired aspect was too overdone and took away from the actual taste of the pizza almost to the point where it felt like we were eating ashes. The manager did eventually come to the table and offer his apologies about the 2nd pasta dish and gave us the option to have it brought out (and take it off the bill). However, at that point, we didn't want to wait and declined. The waiter brought out our check and the 2nd pasta dish that never came was left off of it. However, the restaurant charged us a $2 per person fee for "filtered" tap water. This was mentioned with an asterisk on the bottom of the menu, but we had assumed that would have been a buy up option. The waiter should have been more forthcoming about that. Overall, we had a very poor dining experience and would certainly not recommend this place.

Was excited to eat here! Unfortunately the pizzas we ordered were all undercooked. The dough was too chewy/soft. I was shocked when I read through the wine list. Almost impossible to find anything under $200. The appetizers were really good not great. The staff were standoffish more interested in talking amongst themselves than being engaged with guests. Will not come back.

This review is based solely on customer service - not the quality of food.I went to dinner at Pasquale Jones with three other friends at the end of October. I ended up taking the largest portion of the tab ($250) - and the others split the rest of the bill (which ended up being about $45 each). Because I took the majority of the bill, I did NOT tip on my $250, but rather had everyone else take care of the 20% tip, as I was expensing my portion. Well, I got my card statement a few days later and found that I was charged $268 - which is interesting because I KNOW I crossed out the tip line and wrote very clearly $250 in the total line. So it's obvious that someone turned my 5 into a 6, and the 0 into an 8 to add an $18 tip on top of what was already tipped by everyone else. I tried to call as soon as I saw this - giving them the benefit of the doubt - but they don't have a phone number you can call. Instead, they texted me and after letting them know what had happened, they told me it must have been an error by the person who input the final bill (lol - sure) and that they would be refunding me only the $18 they overcharged me.Well - it's now a full 1.5 months later. I've followed up twice. I've never seen a refund. I've told them I'm planning to file it as fraud with my credit card - just wanted to let everyone else know about the scam they're running. Make sure to check your receipts if you dare to dine there - they'll be happy to steal your money!

Cozy, romantic vibes, excellent service and food! The menu is seasonal-- we got the burrata, clam pizza and pasta with uni. Will be back!
Be the first to ReplyWildly disappointed in the pizza.
The crust was completely charred and inedible. I shared the pie with one other person and neither of us could eat any of the crust. While the pizza was decent (perhaps a little too wet), we left over 25% of the meal because it was inedible. Upon telling the waitress about my disappointment, (the same waitress who said when we first sat down, "just tell me what you want...I got you") her response was "well that's the way we do it here, but I'll tell the chef." I did see other pies come out looking exactly the same, so I believe the waitress was telling the truth. Plus if you read the other pizza reviews, the same complaint has been made more than once. Therefore, the only reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars and not 1, is because the pasta dish I tasted was really, really good. The noise level and the crowded tables is not my favorite environment, but could be okay if not being able to hear your companions easily and bumping into tables and moving waiters on your way to the bathroom doesn't bother you.

This was my wife's favorite place to eat in the city. The pizza is the same delicious pizza it always is, but the service was absolutely horrible. The over weight female waitress with the shaved head was so rude and obnoxious. She was so bad that even my wife agreed, we will never be coming back again. I didn't mind spending the astronomical price for pizza because it made my wife Happy, but I will never have to do that again. Stay away, there are much better places to go in the city.
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is quite good.
The pasta dishes, except one of the Lemone Pasta are house made. the Lemone is smoked. Starters such as the leeks and Pasquale chopped are good. the Cavaatelli and Lemone pasta are hits, as was the stripped bass. We enjoyed the olive oil cake. If you love olive oil you will love this desert.

Food (2/5), Ambiance (4/5), Service (4/5)SEATING / AMBIANCEThis restaurant has indoor and enclosed patio seating available. The enclosed patio seating is covered, but the seats are placed so tightly together that there is not much wiggle room between you and the seat behind you. The inside is dimly lit and romantic, while the outside is beautiful for watching the sunset FOODToo incredibly salty. My friend and I struggled to finish our pasta because if this. Would highly not recommend if you're looking for high quality pasta as Little Italy is just a block downSERVICEOur server was attentive and came by to check on us at just the right times. Overall, wouldn't dine here again
Be the first to ReplyJust an ok experience.
While this might be a trendy go to spot it missed the mark with me. Overpriced, not a lot of options, didn't accommodate my request for a vegan meal and the staff was less than welcoming plus we ate outside in an enclosed area with not enough heat while 17 degrees outside. If asked to go again? No thank you, I will just pass. I left hungry!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing service and out of this world food.
Everything is so fresh and delicious it's hard to describe. The manager is also amazing and gave us the best wine pairing with our food. The desserts weren't on the menu but definitely worth saving some room for with an adffogato. The truffle pizza is a must have before the season is over, we will definitely be back to have it again. I don't think I can go back to regular Italian food after eating here lol. Can't wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyService was attentive.
The pasta we ordered was split up into two bowls for us to share but it was SO incredibly salty that I had stop eating it and wasted half of it. The clam pizza hardly had any clam pieces and was also burnt in several places that made the pizza overwhelmingly taste bad. Depending on where you're seated, it was cool seeing the food being prepared.
Be the first to ReplyCame here with a few girlfriends and had a great dinner.
Only downfall was no cocktails, and an expensive wine menu but the food was worth it.We got the clam pizza, burrata pizza, anchovy bucatini, and burrata starter. While I think they might be known for pizza (rightfully so) do not sleep on the pasta. I think the bucatini was my favorite item we ordered but everything was great!

This place was amazing! The service was very attentive and kind and super efficient. Here's what to get and I recommend all the following: 1. Burrata app2. Clam pizza - this was fire3. The Diavola pizzaAll really good, if I had to pick one I would take the clam pizza first. Order a bottle of wine, and you have yourself an amazing dinner experience. Interior is beautiful and service was great. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant is a shadow of its former self.
Used to live a few blocks away and go here all the time. Have eaten here twice in the last 3 months. The food has gone down in quality (e.g., I had to hunt for clams on my clam pizza). Also had a delivery from here, and little cost cutting things (e.g., no longer deliver in an oven-safe container to crisp crust, ordered a glass bottle of soda and got a can). Sad to see the quality level slide.

The good: friendly greeting when entered, good vibe/music/"scene," and the enclosed patio was very warm, as good as sitting inside. Water refills were fast.Service was perfunctory, not amazing, and after our food was delivered we never saw our server again. I think the host brought us the bill. We were not told if there were specials? The bad: food was slow to come out ( they were packed) and the pasta tasted fine but the portions were like an appetizer size, especially for the price. This is just pasta- no reason to not give a few extra forkfuls to make it a decent portion. Our 2 pizzas were BURNT. I know what wood fired and leparding is supposed to be- this was black all over. As soon as they were delivered I looked at them and thought how could you send this order out? I waited to say something until we tried it and our whole party agreed it was way overdone with the bottom of both pies completely burned black and stiff like a cracker- but nobody ever returned to the table to check on us for us to say anything. We left hungry and had to walk to another restaurant and order more food, because we did not want to eat anything else at Pasquale Jones. Also we ate on the heated patio but the indoor restaurant is packed in so tightly the center tables may as well be communal. If you care about distancing this will not be the place for you. They have every square inch used for seating and it is on top of one another. Found the meal unimpressive, especially for the cost.
Be the first to ReplyFirst timer at this establishment.
Traffic caused us to be late so we called ahead and they were accommodating and gave us later time so thank you! The food was good. We had the burrata, it's burrata can't go wrong anywhere. Had the little neck clam pizza and it was ok, could've had more toppings to be honest.. and the Bucatini all'Amatriciana, which was really good but the portion was really small. The ambiance was nice and cozy but little loud.
Be the first to ReplyOk let me start that the winner here is the staff.
Our waiter knew his stuff about the menu/wine list, was incredibly friendly, and well attentive. My main meh was that tables are genuinely an inch apart so beyond the uneasiness of covid you are genuinely in the next tables conversation. We were surprised that there were no cocktails, or alcoholic spritz. The menu is small but has good options. The food was genuinely very good but just expensive for what it was.
