Outstanding food in a bright and easy enviroment
Outstanding food above the normal cut. My wife had the Mac and cheese it was delicious. Not your normal Mac and cheese thick lobster meat with a combination of three cheeses that compliment each other. I had the lamb burger also good. Try there expresso Marttini.

Really a 4 1/2 star restaurant is a small strip center 1 block west of the Intracoastal waterway. Large outdoor patio. Very eclectic menu and very nice wine list. I started with the THE PALM Salad, Cucumbers, Plum Tomatoes, Hearts of Palm, Red Onions, Kalamata Olives, Chickpeas, Feta Cheese, and Organic Red Wine Vinegar, EVOO, Oregano, Falafel Croutons, with Toasted Naan and Tzatziki, very good. My wife only had appetizers, first, BEET WEDGE SALAD, Iceberg, Roasted Red and Golden Beets, Baby Heirloom Tomatoes, Brown Sugar Bacon, Crispy Gorgonzola, and Onion Straws with a Creamy Roasted Tomato Dressing, she loved it. NNext the LOADED BAKED POTATO EGGROLLS, Crispy Bacon, Cheddar Jack Cheese, Chives, and Truffle Sour Cream, very different and good. Finally the HEIRLOOM CAULIFLOWER STEAK, Roasted with Truffle Oil and Parmesan, just ok. For dessert, she tried the COLOSSAL CARROT CAKE, Walnuts, Cream Cheese Frosting, Edible Gold Glitter, colossal it is is, huge, should be for $ 22. I opted for the DEATH BY CHOCOLATE, Mini Chocolate Cake Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Ganache, Dark & White Chocolate Drizzle, Cocoa Dust and Chocolate Whipped Cream, Very good. For an unusual ding experience, you must try the 800 Palm Trail Grille.

Excellent food, wine and service. Great atmosphere but I don’t know why there is a large screen television. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Six of us returned this week to celebrate two birthdays. Two hours went by and we had not received our dinners. Any restaurant can have an off night but what was upsetting to us was the total indifference of the staff. When we asked the waiter and eventually the manager what was the status of our order we were told it was coming. We were not offered bread, and nobody refilled our drinks without being asked. When we finally threatened to leave, five dinners appeared all lukewarm. The sixth, clearly forgotten, arrived ten minutes later. The only apology of the evening came from our waiter when he presented the check. 800 Palm Trail is off our list.

I'm all about different types of food, different treatments in the preparation, and the combination of other ingredients. 800 Palm Trail checks all the boxes. We celebrated our anniversary here with another couple and were delighted with the service and delectable food. We started with cocktails; no watering down here. Each couple began the repast with a Beet Wedge salad ($16)--oh, so good. Two diners ordered the Colossal Crab Cake (MP--$46 on our visit) nestled on a jalapeno corn fritter, topped with a Peruvian potato nest, all set atop lobster bisque. One diner had the succulent Herb Seared Scallops ($41) and I had the Figgy Piggy ($30), a 14 oz. pork chop cooked in fig jam with burnt Brussels Sprouts. A-plus for presentation! The downsides to the experience were no bread or nibbles were available, no specials (at least not yet), and possibly, limited selections.. Limited selections aren't always a bad thing when what is offered is done with perfection. We passed on dessert. (Only three were available.) There is onsite parking. There is indoor seating in a dining room and around the bar (a few TVs) and outdoor seating with high-top and low-top tables under a large awning. Major credit cards are accepted. The dining areas are handicapped accessible. We all look forward to a return visit.

I ate at the restaurant yesterday. I had the shrimp and grits. I try that dish wherever I find it on the menu. The shrimp were huge! This is actually a vegetarian dish since Chef Amy’s dish doesn’t contain sausage. My server Megan was great. I’ll definitely eat there again next time I’m in town.

Went with 8 people. 7 orders came out. After 15 minutes the missing pork chop came out—basically thrown on the plate, half cooked, without the sauce that someone else had on theirs. Two people had veal Parmesan and both dishes were topped with different types of cheese—one grated and one with squares of cheese. It did not taste like an Italian restaurant’s veal would. The coffee was like mud, and the peach cobbler was like bread pudding. The best part of the meal was the ice cream, which came out of a container and wasn’t prepared by the restaurant. Definitely a “one and done” restaurant.

Very very loud restaurant (hard to carry on a conversation at our table) and food was average. Mozzarella in the Caprese didn’t taste very fresh and the poke had too much avocado and fruit and not enough tuna. Short rib was good. They served a different wine than written on the menu and didn’t say anything to us (it was still good). Good drinks and nice service.
Be the first to ReplyA MUST GO TO!
I have dined at 800 Palm Trail Grill numerous times. The food, staff & service are top notch. It's a MUST GO TO if you're visiting the Delray Beach or surrounding area.

We ate here for the first time last night. We arrived about twenty minutes earlier than our reservation and were told that although our table was available we could not be seated because the other couple we were eating with had not yet arrived. There were no seats in the small bar area, no place to sit and wait so we sat in our car or stood in the parking lot to await our friends and be seated. This is no way to treat your customers. Food was very good, service was okay. Perhaps the seating policy can be changed
Be the first to ReplyNice addition to Delray dining scene.
A bit offf the beaten track from the crowded Atlantic Ave scene, with it's own parking lot. Nicely appointed, casual and layed back atmosphere. Plenty of outside tables. Our waiter, Chip, was great! Eclectic menu diverse enough to please any palate. Concise, well chosen and somewhat pricey wine list. Drinks could use "a heavier hand." Highly recommend the lump crab meat stuffed shrimp, and scallop entrees, both outstanding. All in all a lovely dining experience, we will certainly be back! DavidS, Boca Raton

Lovely location, small and intimate, white linen napkins and tablecloth‘s. Service was well above average. The noise level in the restaurant was obnoxious. The corn chowder soup was almost cold, barely hot. The hush puppy was very good. The charred Caesar salad my husband enjoyed. The mussels and frites were very good. The burger sans bun was monstrous and not easy too eat. Peach cobbler was also very good.
