Olives Atlantis Reviews from The Last Year
Extremely poor service and even though it's $32 for a super
Extremely poor service and even though it's $32 for a super simple dish, they served everything on cold plates, even the bass and the bolognese. I ordered the beet salad and even though the waitress asked how everything looked, it took her almost 22 minutes to swing back around to see how things tasted!!
Overpriced, underwhelming.
Unreasonably overpriced. Starters arrived at the same time as the main. Like warm food rather than hot, and everything tasted like sugar.
Amazing Food and Wonderful service
One of the best Restaurants on the Island...I don't eat fish but the Sea bass was to die for as was my wife's food...Todd's venues are always amazing but this place took the cake ...Great service and Great Food no complaints only that I want to go back for more!
We were seated fast.
The service was slow. I had the salad which was wilted. It was obvious it was prepped too far ahead of time. My kiddo got the Mac and cheese and the sauce was broken. My husband got the steak and he said it was pretty fantastic. I ordered the ceviche and it was overwhelming seasoned I wasn't able to finish it- nor my husband. I saw a lot of tables with appetizers and that was probably the way to go.
They have gone downhill….
Olives was once our favorite restaurant for lunch, but no longer! We had the grouper fish and chips every visit. The last 3 times, the fish was soggy, greasy and did not taste fresh.
Overpriced and underwhelming
Went here for dinner with the family. Unfortunately food was very bland and extremely overpriced for what it was. Menu selection is very limited. Staff were very nice though.
Food was outstandin
Food and service was great. Steak and pork chops were very good as well as flatbread. Drinks were good as well.
Skip this place.
Cocktail undrinkable. Clams and fresh oysters tasteless. Flat bread dough was juvenile. Hard pass.. Bolognese pasta was chewy and grainy which was only made worse by a sauce that makes Lean Cuisine offerings a better experience.
There are so many better option at Atlantis
My family and I have been big fans of the olives restaurants for more than 20 years. First experience with olives was at the restaurant in Las Vegas where we have been many times. We were excited when we saw that the Atlantis hotel had an olives and booked our reservation 30 days out in advance, unfortunately this olives restaurant does not live up to the experiences we’ve had at other locations. While the food was average, the dining experience was disastrous. My wife, son and I were seated quickly and order was taken, but this was the last real contact we had with the waiter , for the rest of the evening, the food did come out as it was ordered but once the food was left, we did not see our waiter for more than 40 minutes. The waiter never stopped in to see if the food was OK to refresh drinks or even make sure if there was anything else we needed. Finally, after being ignored my family left the restaurant to go get dessert elsewhere, and I stayed to pay the bill. Eventually I was able to flag down a bus boy to ask for a box for some food that was left over and flag down the check the waiter finally reappeared to provide the check gave my credit card. I believe the waiter recognized that the family had left and that we were upset but instead of addressing it, he sent the busboy back to the table with the check. In addition to this poor service, we also noticed on the check that the waiter had billed us for an additional entrée. We often realize that resort restaurants only have to deal with customers once so it can be challenging , but I would say there’s so many other restaurants on the Atlantis property that provide quality food and exceptional service I would highly recommend that you read the reviews and think twice about olives
Our service this evening was missing.
Food was subpar. Kids meals were good. Very nice inside. But waiter never returned. Someone else brought food out and never asked again for anything. Had to chase for the bill.
Completely unacceptable.
I have been coming to Atlantis for several years with my family. We tried to reserve a table months in advance but Olives doesn't allow reservations for more than 4 people on Open Table. We went to the restaurant at 5:10pm with plenty of tables open. The Manager when getting a table said that they had full reservations and the only thing we could do is come back in an hour or sit outside. We sat outside as it was immediate, however there were several 8 plus top tables open when we went out and when we walked out after we were finished an hour later. I asked her why she didn't seat us inside and she said that she is fully booked. There were the same tables open when we were done. She said we probably ate fast because it was humid outside. The fact she stated that and treated me the way she did after spending $500 on a meal is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this place or going here. There are much better options at the resort. They need to do better. Much better.
Excellent food, atmosphere, wine list, and wait staff. We were seated at a table overlooking the Marina - great view!
Enjoyed this restaurant twice during our stay at Atlantis. Enjoyed the salmon, house made pasta, bread and of course, olives! Great wine selection. The wait staff was simply wonderful. Highly recommend!
Food was below average.
The clams and oysters were inedible and the main entree was cold when it got to the table.
The service is absolutely terrible.
The food is mediocre at best. Over priced and not worth it.
Celebrating my Daughter's Birthday!
Another great dining place. The Bohemian Scampi & Sea Bass were amazing. The Double cut Pork Chop was awesome. Great atmosphere. Loved it.
Olives at Atlantis USED TO BE one of our favorite dining
Olives at Atlantis USED TO BE one of our favorite dining spots- but it has gone downhill on our most recent visits. The bar seats are 1st come/ 1st served and my favorite place to dine. After eating a very mediocre meal at the bar earlier in the week (Butternut Squash Tortelli was not available so I ordered the chicken cacciatore (way over cooked). While on vacation, we tend to be a lot more forgiving and relaxed, so I overlooked the poor service aspect and the poorly prepared chicken cacciatore dish. However, we went back a few nights later for redemption - to get the butternut squash tortellini (my favorite item on their menu); but it was once again not available. A few minutes later, I asked the our Bartender (the same taller/ thinner dark skinned bartender that we had 2 nights prior) for replacement suggestions, and he had none. So, after reviewing the menu for a few more minutes, I actually queried the other bartender, and he provided all sorts of suggestions and customized pasta options that sounded delightful. But about that same time, the bartender that had been tending to us for both visits to Olives, felt the need to chime in, interrupt, and be flat out nasty. I was absolutely amazed at the situation. We were excited to order some of the alternative pasta options that were presented to us, but apparently we must've irritated the bartender that was tending to us. Our initial bartender made the situation very uncomfortable; so it was at that time, we stood up from the bar, walked away. Enough is enough. As the saying goes, this was the straw that broke the camels back. Many great memories and many great meals there over the years. After 15-20 meals at Olives Atlantis over the past 10 years- we WILL NOT BE BACK.
Service was exceptional & food was very good, as well!
I got a lovely table, tucked in a corner, out of the way of most of the traffic. My server was absolutely delightful & attentive throughout my meal. I started with the signature cocktail, Pineapple Passion. It was delicious, so I ended up ordering one more before the night was through. I ordered an Ensalata Caprese for a starter. This is my go-to pretty much everywhere, but I've never had one served with greens before. I do not know what type of greens they were, but they were crispy & slightly sweet. I left nothing on the plate! While I was waiting for that to arrive, my server brought a plate with some VERY freshly made foccacia bread, an olive spread, a variety of olives, & some olive oil. I started with the olive spread, knowing that I would like it, but it got abandoned halfway through the bread when my tastebuds got ahold of that olive oil. THE BEST tasting olive oil I have ever had. I could have made a meal out of just that & the bread. Delicious! Then I ordered the Ricotta Ravioli as my entree. The ravioli was dressed beautifully in a smooth tomato sauce with a swirl of cream, with a few select chunks of Italian sausage peeking out of the sauce, & garlic bread crumbles sprinkled on top. The filling was perfect, as well. Finally, I ordered the Tres Leches Cake for dessert. This was a bit of a surprise. The "sky juice" sauce that it was sitting in was pretty potent. I later discovered on a food tour that you can get the "leaded or unleaded' version. This was definitely the "leaded" variety. I really needed the coconut mousse & whip cream to take the edge off the alcoholic bite. To be honest, I'm not sure I would go that route again. The rest of the components were great, but it was a bit much for my personal taste.
Rude staff
The hostess was so rude when we asked for our table. She said they weren’t open yet and was really rude. She didn’t offer for us to go the bar or say we can seat you soon. Nothing! We had a reservation and I cancelled it. I didn’t want to spend our money there. Ridiculous!
We went here for lunch this past Friday.
It was a rainy day so this clearly had an impact on the operation since so many people couldn't eat at the outdoor pool restaurants. We got two seats at the bar and the bartender did let us know it would be a while before he could get to us (it appeared to be only him for the bar and the entire restaurant). Having worked in hospitality, we understood and he did the best he could. The food was just terrible. We both ordered the olives burger. It took about an hour to get the burgers and when they arrived, the actual burger patty was lukewarm if even. I worried that it had been cooked in bulk and then just sat out (not a good feeling to think about food safety). We ate most of our food because we were hungry and I can't imagine how anything would have been better if we complained. For the two burgers and three beers, our bill was about $95. I don't mind paying when the food is good, but this was worse than a school cafeteria.
We were at Atlantis' Olives restaurant and had to wait for
We were at Atlantis' Olives restaurant and had to wait for 10 minutes before the bartender finally took our drink order. We decided to order a flatbread and tuna tartare as well. After finishing our drinks, we patiently waited for our food, but it never arrived. The bartender kept disappearing and failed to check if we needed another round of drinks, despite our glasses being empty for at least 30 minutes. Surprisingly, the bar wasn't even crowded. Throughout the next hour, I observed the bartender only making two drinks after serving us. Frustrated with the lack of service, we decided to leave $40 on the bar to cover the cost of our drinks and departed. In the meantime, the pizza chef effortlessly churned out at least 50 pizzas. It would be wise to promote her to bartender, as our experience was a complete waste of both time and money.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Give the best answerNewbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
