Best in the Valley
Food, ambience, service—nothing better in the Coachella Valley, bar none. Every detail was stellar—don’t miss the date cake dessert.

The one and only Nobu is a famous Japanese restaurant known for great food, big prices, and famous guests.

We do not have a Nobu close to us so we look forward to going when on vacation. Nobu had a pop up restaurant at the tennis tournament and the same wonderful quality of food is available and the staff provide the impeccable service they are known for. This restaurant is a must, I am getting hungry just writing this!

Our table of 6 was served promptly in a busy time of the day. Food was delicious in flavour and presentation. Our meal and drinks were served between sets at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Great gob considering the restaurant is open just for the tournament.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, busy place
This the 2nd year in a row that we have dinner at this place. It is busy so be ready to wait for up to 1 hr. for dinner. The food is fantastic. You will have to be patient to get your food as the place is always packed.

This place is busy... and for good reason. Food and customer service is over the top 5-star+! Tip: Choose one of the options (minimum check) to sit at the window and enjoy the matches!

Skip it is my recommendation. We had an unfortunatel and expensive evening here durig the tennis matches. It was a lot of wrk - we could not get water brought to the table despite asking the servers many times. I thought well maybe they just want us to order bottled water but it turns out that when I asked a manager what I have to do to get water - he replied - they have wae but dont have any clean glasses I should excuse them because they are super busy... it went downhill from there. We ordered a nice bottle of white wine and it was brought to the table but was not chilled. We asked for an ice bucket or another bottle that had been chilled. Well, we got the ice bucket and tried to cool down the sine but they had no glasses. Finally, glasses just out of the dishwasher came and they were hot. So now - we were trying to get any type of liquid - water, wine, soup - anything but no luck - just had to continue to wait and be patient. Remind you this is not a community soup kitchen - this is Nobu - where the prices are absurd. Sushi arrives - still no water. Sushi but no soy sauce - had to go from table to table to borrow soy sauce - it was embarrassing. My wife's favorite, Rock Shrimp arrives and it is room temperature - the server said it is served hot and everytime we have had it, it was served hot but not this evening. We didn't enjoy anything but really really wanted to - the best part of the evening was leaving. Nobu doesn't do stadiums very well - skip it

The restaurant opens at 11am so we stood in line to ensure we got a window bar seat. $100 min food and beverage charge for a single match was well worth it as we did not have any reserved seating tickets. The food was excellent. We had the Chef's special bento box which included a nice sablefish and popcorn shrimp, uber spicy grilled peppers if you were to eat the seeds too, sashimi salad, and tasty bitesized tuna tacos plus beer and grapefruit cocktail.

We enjoy our lunch at Nobu. The menu is not as complete as in Los Angeles, Malibu or Manhattan, but the quality of the food is excellent. The service is pretty slow, but unless you are late for a game, it is nice to seat and relax!
