Nobu Hotel Palo Alto Reviews from The Last Year
Amazing Unforgettable Experience!!
Nobu restaurant has amazing food and great staff! Food-Are so unforgettable all the food just melts in your mouth can’t get enough of those yummy flavors! The restaurants overall are beautiful Inside. We can't wait to go back and be there next time to their Garden patio just to enjoy the weather, beautiful view, food & drink.
lovely hotel
Very nicely appointed rooms, but you must be interested in minimalism and Zen. Massive television great for watching movies. Clean and good service. The bathroom seemed a bit small for the size of the room but was adequate. A great respite in Palo Alto.
Avoid this place.
Our friend stayed there for her birthday, so we called the Concierge and spent $175.00 to send her birthday greetings with a bottle of wine, a VIP amenity, and a Healthy Amenity. When they delivered it to the room they put a handwritten note from the "Nobu Team" celebrating her birthday. The only reason we found out is that she posted on IG her gratitude for such a generous gift from the Nobu staff. What!?! No mention that we ordered and paid for the gifts. When I emailed them, they merely said, "Sorry, we made a mistake." You're right - you made a mistake and that's why I think it would be a mistake to stay there. I don't trust them. (By the way, they substituted the $85 bottle of wine we ordered with a $13 bottle,...rip off.)
Most luxurious work trips ever
Elegant decor, very clean rooms, fluffy towels, comfy beds, friendly staff and a very safe building. There’s also a Nespesso maker and a fantastic iron tea pot in every room! I’ve stayed at Nobu twice on business trips and will absolutely be back. Nobu is close to Stanford and there are a lot of wonderful shops and restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are incredibly quiet. I’ve never heard another guest’s shower, hair dryer, TV, etc. The equipment in the fitness center is all very well maintained and kept clean and tidy. The staff have been very helpful and accommodating on both trips. In February my flight home was delayed and they let me stay in my room until noon. In April my flight arrived early and they were able to check me in midday.
Nice service and such but this hotel is definitely not
Nice service and such but this hotel is definitely not worth the price, it's very tiny and the common areas are quite basic, no pools or jacuzzi. It's inhabited by rich people who really don't have any inkling of what's good value. I wouldn't recommend shashi is much better for a luxury hotel experience

I had the pleasure of staying at the Nobu Hotel in Palo Alto recently. Perfection sums it up. Greeted by the valets curbside, welcoming and helpful with luggage and assistance to the reception area on the second floor, where we again felt welcomed, offered a steaming hot towel and lavender tea and efficiently and quickly checked in. Danny offered up friendly conversation and information about the immediate neighborhood for our walking pleasure and where to grab a drink, (there was a lovely young lady at the desk too, sorry that I did not get her name, she too was very helpful) then to our beautiful room, not a detailed missed, the most wonderful beds and pillows, slept better than I have in months, very soothing decor, 80" TV , from bed sheets to bath towels gorgeous linens, the bathroom and water closet are state of the art and the room was immaculate. I had breakfast sent up, it arrived promptly, hot! with the extras I had requested and was reasonably priced. When we checked out I left a bag, they called immediately and had it waiting at the front desk for me to pick up. I look forward to our next stay, it was like a trip back in time, when staff truly cared about their guest, thank you.
AC/Heater in the room absolutely doesn't work.
Someone came to fix it but was broken again after 5min. I asked to change a room and the heater was also broken. The whole night was freezing. I told this to the front desk and all they say is they are sorry to hear that.
Back to the four seasons !!!
Not as good as the restaurant! Check in they had the wrong room class. And the wrong length of stay. Waited two hours for them to fix. Then, no electric plugs near the bed. I have a sleep apnea machine that needs a plug! So have to ask for an extension cord. Wait for that. Then install it. It will run from the far side of the room to power the sleep machine. Hope I don’t trip on it in the night! NOT a premium place. Although the staff are very nice.

I had the pleasure of attending an event at the Nobu Hotel, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's fabulous ambiance. Vincent, the Sales Manager, and the entire staff were exceptional. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured that the event flowed seamlessly. One highlight of the evening was the outstanding food. The chef went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs, crafting a special gluten-free sauce for my meal. I indulged in a delightful array of dishes, including Ikura, roasted cauliflower with jalapeño salsa, and brussels sprouts with tomato salsa. Each bite was a burst of flavor and creativity. The culinary journey continued with yellowtail sashimi, black cod miso, chicken antichucho, assorted nigiri, and sushi rolls. The dessert selection was equally impressive, offering a sweet conclusion to the feast. I must mention the bathrooms, which were equipped with bidets, adding an unexpected touch of luxury to the experience. Overall, my afternoon and event at the Nobu Hotel were nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of impeccable service, exquisite cuisine, and attention to detail left me with cherished memories. I can't wait for the opportunity to return and savor another unforgettable experience at this exceptional venue.
My first time and I loved it.
Beautiful decor, beautiful restaurant, beautiful lobby! Everyone working was very friendly. The food was amazing, esp the sashimi and nigiri sushi rolls. I def plan to be back soon again. Oh and the restrooms on the 2nd floor are amazing too :).
they ignore “do not disturb” sign
i got a late checkout extended and stuck “do not disturb” sign on the door. 30 minutes after normal checkout time, housekeeper knocks loudly, opens the door, and asks me what time i am checking out right in the middle of my zoom meeting. wtf? this hotel does not deserve such great reviews when they cannot even observe a simple “do not disturb” sign.
Very disappointing.
Stayed in the Zen Suite. The carpeting was totally stained. Quite disgusting. Our door to the patio wouldn’t close all the way. There were hardly any drawers to put your clothes in. The bathroom was very small. This was an expensive suite. I could go on, but I think I’ve said enough.
A wonderful stay
The Nobu Hotel can be highly recommended as a business hotel. However, it is not really suitable for families. We stayed for 10 days and occupied a total of three rooms. The rooms are nice, modern and tidy. But you can save yourself the extra cost for Ryokan rooms. The tub is at best suitable for a foot bath. Dusting behind the furniture is not so much fun either. I dropped a sock behind the bedside table and when I picked it up it was covered in dust. It's a bit of a shame when everything else is kept so clean. The beds were fantastic and it was very easy to fall asleep. However, you can hear a lot of street noise if the rooms face the street. So if you wake up easily, it's a good idea to get a room at the back. We booked our rooms with breakfast and were able to feast on delicious food every morning. The breakfast menu was small, but the avocado toast and French toast quickly became our absolute favorites. The other breakfast dishes are also recommended. The valet service is highly recommended if you are coming to the hotel by car; as is the case everywhere in Palo Alto, parking spaces are rare. In general, the service was always extremely friendly and accommodating. The only thing that was a bit stressful was our departure day, as they wouldn't let us check out later than 1 p.m. for a room. We had already vacated two rooms by 10 a.m., but our flight wasn't until 8 p.m. So what do you do with eight suitcases and the afternoon when you can't stay in the hotel any longer? I would have expected more consideration from the hotel management. Nobu Hotel can be highly recommended as a business hotel. However, it is not suitable for families. I was in town for a vendor event and didn't stay at the hotel for the night. The conference room the event was held in was great. It had a great atmosphere and a good view of Palo Alto. After the event, we had a great social at the bar area with sushi and open seating. I had chosen to do valet because I would have been late for the event and didn't have enough time to find parking around the area. The valet was pretty you, and I had a bad feeling handing him my keys, but I did it anyway. The valet area was busy, and many cars were lined up for the valet. I didn't think much of it afterward, as I had a good time at the event. When I left, the same guy returned with my car, and I tipped him generously, as my car was only a few weeks old, and he seemed to have taken care of it. After returning to my office, I noticed the front right rims of my car were scratched up. This teaches me a lesson to not valet in the future.
