Don’t Bother Going
On a recent city break to Amsterdam, my husband and I visited Nnea as it has excellent reviews on tripadvisor. We had made a reservation and paid a 20 Euro deposit. We waited nearly one hour for our pizzas without any apology from our waitress for the long wait. When the pizzas finally arrived. they were both very soggy in the centre and the mozzarella on my pizza hadn’t been heated throughly so was cold in parts. During our meal. no one came to check on us - to ask if everything was ok or if we wanted more drinks.They were very quick, however, to take our money when we asked for the bill! All in all disinterested, inattentive and complacent service and expensive mediocre pizza. The toilets were not clean either. This place is totally hyped up. Don’t bother going.
Disappointing
Unfortunately over-hyped! Pizza was soggy and served with different ingredients as stated on the menu. Asked for Parmesan to add, told “we don’t have any” but as we were leaving, we saw other customers with this on their pizza. I’m sure there are lots of other places closer to the centre that won’t mean a wasted trip out here!

After 3 weeks visiting family in Italy, we felt a little silly going here during a long layover in Amsterdam, but so glad we did. Superb Neapolitan style pizza -- some of the best we've ever had -- in a lively spot run by Italians. Both the classic margherita and tuna nduja were delicious, as was our dessert focaccia.

Great for a casual pizza eating experience with pizza done properly! Don't despair if not booked, the person front of house took down contact details to phone when a table/bar area came available.

It is one of the best Napoli pizzas we have ever eaten - on par with the ones we ate in Napoli , Italy. The dough was wonderful , so were all the ingredients. Well done
Low-mid late night hit..
Picked up late at night as it was 5 min from our hostel. Thin, cold and flimsy but the crust was good. Might be better if it was super hot? Low-mid tier but got it done.. maybe don’t go close to close b/c won’t be what you want

Supposedly one of the best pizzas in Amsterdam and all of Netherlands, nNea is impossibly hard to get a reservation. Reservations are often booked up for a year so our best bet was either take-out or walk-in. I don't think take-out is available every day of the week so be sure to check before heading out! When we visited, the wait for walk-in was over an hour and there was no way we were going to do that. Take-out is actually its own building and entrance right next to the restaurant. They don't have the full menu as the sit-down side but you can get your pizzas so much faster. They even acknowledge the fact that people will eat in front of the store so they'll provide plates instead of the pizza boxes to save on waste. They'll also have scissors to help cut your pizzas into shareable portions. Each pizza is large enough for a single person but it's better to do family-style and order a bunch of different types to try more. Their style of pizza has a bit of a larger crust and I ended up not finishing those. I tried the Oyster Mushroom, which was my favorite with the mushroom and garlic flavors. The second one was the Salsiccia and Patate (I think?) and was our meat pizza. I couldn't really understand the cashier but they were out of something so the pizza I got wouldn't have been the complete thing. I'm not sure what was missing but overall, a tasty pizza too. If you can get a reservation, I highly recommend dining in to try more things. But if your wait is over 30-45 minutes, just do take-out because I don't think it's worth the wait.

Did not know until looking this place up just now that nNea ranks amongst the best pizzas in the world! We first tried our luck with walk-in, but after seeing how long the wait was, we decided to grab take out next door instead. They quoted us about 25 minutes for takeout but it ended up coming out much sooner. Overall, the pizzas were good but I can't imagine waiting more than 30 minutes to eat here. I think takeout is definitely the move if you can't get in on a reservation or with a short wait. They do have other menu items though that are only orderable in the sit-down restaurant, so maybe we missed out on some other delicious dishes!
Ok so a lot of my friends told me to come to nNea.
Now I know I was trying to find new places to eat in Amsterdam, but for a guy who loves New York-style pizza, going for Neopolitan-style pizza isn't quite my thing. And I know it was recently ranked #48 on the Top 50 Pizza World ranking list and the best pizza in Amsterdam. But since my friends wanted to try it, sure, why not. If you came here, you probably didn't have a reservation. Well, I talked to them and they said their reservations are open a year in advance. Like...who even knows what they are doing a year in advance? They do keep 25% of their tables open for walk-ins, so thankfully we were able to secure a seat that way. Ordered the Partenope, which is dominated by octopus, and the Roasted Amatriciana, which was topped by guanciale. I suppose for Neopolitan-style pizza, this is pretty damn good. Really tasty ingredients and good crust that is light and airy that held the ingredients up well. They even give you scissors to cut the pizza since it comes out unsliced. Service was good. Even though we were walk ins, they didn't rush us out the door and made sure we had time to eat. I guess the line out the door is proof that nNea Pizza is doing something right. I wouldn't wait that long for it because I know what great pizza is. But in a city starved of elite pizza, I guess I can understand why it is so popular.

It is! We waited an hour but we'll worth it. The woodfired light airy thin crust is perfectly topped with the most outrageously tasty fresh sauce. The pies come with scissors so be prepared to cut those slices. Don't miss this place and there's also a take out side if you don't want to wait.
Highly rated, supposed best pizza in Amsterdam, and 48th
Highly rated, supposed best pizza in Amsterdam, and 48th out of 50 of the world's best pizzas, nNea was a no brainer on our itinerary! One of our friends had gone before on a previous trip, and mentioned that reservations are extremely hard and to just hope to get on the waitlist early enough. Unfortunately it would have been over 1hr 30 minutes to sit down, but luckily for us, their next door take-out option was open! That took only 25 minutes in comparison, which is a steal considering the hype around the restaurant! There's a few bar stools inside the takeout shop, and 2-3 chairs outside. You can choose to 'dine-in' and they'll give you your pizza on a plate, but if you're actually taking to-go, they'll give you a box. We got the Provola & Pepe and it was AMAZING!!! Perfect amount of cheese/sauce, chewy but still crisp crust, and all together a solid pizza. We also shared a few slices amongst our friends that got other pizzas, and although I did like the Oyster Mushroom and Salsiccia, I still enjoyed our Provola the most! 1000% worth the stop, just be prepared and come early to avoid the long wait times!

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at nNea Pizza Amsterdam to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at nNea Pizza Amsterdam!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
