Things are changing
If penny slots are your thing, Vegas is now full of them. Very few quarter or dollar machines. I refuse to play them. I'm not flying across the country to play penny slots. I guess they make a lot of money from them though. They no longer cater to the serious gamblers...

We have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms and most of the time our backs hurt because of the bed quality. These were the most comfortable beds we have slept in from a hotel perspective. The rooms were fresh. Great location on the strip, easy access to the monorail and cab and rideshare was easy to get to.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly staff very helpful and clean hotel
Everyone was friendly the room just cleaned. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I thought it would be.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hotel choice!
New York, New York offered all of the comforts you hope for and more. Clean, updated, comfortable beds, organized check in and check out, friendly staff, great restaurants, shops, casino, and a roller coaster! Conveniently located next door to our Grand Canyon tour bus pick up hotel and one hotel over to the free tram.

After waiting in line 20 minutes to check in I went up to my room to discover my room key was not operating. The front desk told me I had to wait at the back of the line to address the problem. totally unacceptable !!
Be the first to ReplyRacism to handicap
Tyson cronmiller did nothing to resolve racism to handicap people at New York New York. My left toes don’t move the bartender said I was drunk and couldn’t walk right
Be the first to ReplyNice hotel but no coffee lol!
No coffee, refrigerator or microwave in the rooms I could’ve done without all of those things as long as there was coffee.
Be the first to ReplyStay at NYNY VEGAS
Nice casino and rooms are spacious and clean. Lots of variety in restaurants. Mad Apple is a great sho.
Be the first to ReplyApril 2024 Vacation
The location is great and lots of eating options in the hotel and surrounding area. Mattresses should be updated soon. If you are used to a hard mattress, the rooms are not for you.
Be the first to ReplyNYNY great modern hotel
Soho 2 Queen was a great room. Smells new and freshly renovated in room and hallways. Nice New York wallpaper in the room. Great view of the strip and rollercoaster from the window. Only con was sometimes hard to sleep with the screaming and noise from the rollercoaster but a couple more cocktails in the casino would cure that!
Be the first to ReplyNice but don't pay for an upgrade or expect bar service in the casino
1st visit to Las Vegas and stayed at NYNY at the suggestion of our son (frequent visitor). Paid to upgrade to a suite and it was a waste of $ - extra space was nice but our room on the 4th floor had a view of rooftops/AC equipment and there was constant noise from the hallway, either from other guests or staff (staff noise started at 6 am, directly across from us). Food selection was good with the buffet and Italian being the highlights. Bar service in the casino was sporadic and often had to be looking around for bar staff while actively playing (not good).
Be the first to ReplyBest casino on strip. STAYED everywhere!
I have stayed at nearly all of the big casino/hotels and none of them have been as good as NyNy. This is our 5th stay now and I feel it's only gotten better. Great selection of games, friendly staff, excellent rooms, reasonably priced food, good return on slots, tables not as much this trip, and fast service everywhere.
Be the first to ReplyShort overnight trip
Family stayed for a short overnight trip before flying home. We enjoyed the food, the casino a the upbeat atmosphere. The room was very nice the staff was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to return
Be the first to ReplyPoor service waitstaff was very unprofessional and demanding.
Was very disappointed in the actions of the waitstaff. The first one said she would be back and never returned. I went to another location to gamble to try to get some service. Got service but then the waiter took my drink back after demanding a tip. I told her if she could watch my machine so I can cash out and give her a tip she responded with “your not looking out for me so I’m not looking out for you and walked away with my beer I had ordered!! Very Very Rude.
Be the first to ReplyRoom 8 63: Newly remodeled decor.
I really liked the decor and remodel of this room I stayed in for three nights. I completed the check-in process entirely using the mobile check-in app. Check in couldn’t have been any smoother or easier and I was totally pleased with the room assignment and the digital room key process. Surprise surprise there was a mini fridge in the cabinet next to the safe! Here are some photos showing the new decor and remodel:
Be the first to ReplyNew York/New York
We usually stay at this property and are very happy, but this time we were very disappointed. Was put in room 4113 and there was construction happening on the lower floors. An enormous amount of dust came through the vents causing dirt in the room, on the tables and sheets. This also made it tough to breathe constant dusk while in the room and while sleeping. Very disappointed in New York/New York and MGM. Should have been put in a different tower away from the construction and dust. Would probably not return to this hotel due to this unfortunately.
Be the first to ReplyWhat happened to this resort?
Location on the strip is the best feature, other than that, I would have had a better stay at the motel 6. Not very welcoming and the amenities are now an extra fee. This is not the same place that I used to love staying at. Will be staying elsewhere next time.
Be the first to ReplySo no SOHO
The rooms on the premises do not match what’s pictured on the app. Everything is outdated. The halls, even the curtains and chairs. Burnt curtain in room and toilet top hanging off back of toilet. Would not choose to stay here again, until they actually update the rooms.
Be the first to ReplyNew York New York Hotel is overrated.
Reserved rooms in advance, they sold all our rooms before we arrived. Charged the premium suite price anyway for their smallest room. Room had no water pressure, broken drawer, missing fridge, bed lumpy, and pillows that I could use for a jackstand
Be the first to ReplyDisregard the negative reviews!
Well, I unfortunately lost the very long review I just tried to post here but to summarize, don’t read into the negative reviews! I had read the elevators have issues but it’s because they are remodeling and updating the hotel so some (I only found 1) may run slow. All you have to do is walk 10-20 feet to the next elevator and crisis averted! I encounter only one slow elevator until someone told me to just walk down the hall to the next one which had no issues so all those reviews are just ridiculous 😅. I also read the rooms were dirty and the shower didn’t drain.. no issues there! And I changed rooms due to some loud neighbors blasting music. They were able to change rooms with no issues and even gave me a credit for free drinks/dinner for the troubles (even though no fault of the hotel). My boyfriends parents came on the trip and their room was also spotless and I’ll say the beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! My boyfriends parents had an issue with their safe one night and they promptly fixed the issue and again compensated them for the trouble (none of us asked for that). The other thing I read complaints of was the smell of smoke.. well, you’re in Vegas and most hotels and casinos allow that so if this is such an issue, go to one of the non smoking ones. They did the best they could but it is what it is and wasn’t that bad (coming from a non smoker). They had plenty of security in and outside the hotel which made me safe and secure. The food options were fantastic at NYNY. Big shoutout to Gallagher’s restaurant for the best prime rib, lobster tail and and steak I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! My only negatives are that the waitress at Nine Fine Irishmen was lacking in her costumer service skill.. maybe she needs a vacation (or maybe just time to retire) as she was a bit rude and cranky. I also wish they had mini fridges in the rooms to hold your water and leftovers.. I get this is typical for Vegas but still would love to have that option. All the staff I encountered were stellar and went out of their way to make my stay wonderful which it was so I’m happy to come back one day ☺️☺️
Be the first to ReplyAverage, nothing glamorous
Check in and out was easy. It was clean overall. The Time Square piano bar was pretty fun. With a reservation for $30/person you get a table and wait service. Or walk-in first come first serve is standing room and bar service. The gym was clean. The nightlife and late night food options seemed pretty limited. The monorail is across the street at MGM but still a good 10 minute walk. Cleaning turnover service was a miss - room finally cleaned after we set our full trash can outside for over 24 hours.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience
Great hotel with great staff. Amazing and unique atmosphere. Location is great and close to everything. I would definitely come back. Rooms are good but expected better specially the bathrooms. But overall it’s a great place
Be the first to ReplyGreat stay!
Stayed in the newly renovated room and it was great. Bed was comfortable, pillows were perfect and everything was very clean. Lots of food choices at all price points. Very close to T-mobile arena with easy access thru parking garage. Think the hotel does get you with those fees, even charged an extra $20 a night for staying in the new rooms.

Had an amazing experience here! Would definitely book again! There were many places to eat inside the property, many things to do as well. It was clean and staff were always friendly. The parking was convenient as well

Had to go to Vegas for work and stayed an extra day for fun. The New York-new York was great. Lots of renovations going on, but still a good stay. Have been there before. Would definitely recomend.I was in town to work a basketball tournament and the location could not have been better.
