Food was bad.
Found a lot of what looks like eye lash hair on my food. Told the staff, staff's response was terrible, didn't even say anything or apologize. So at the end I did not give any tip, and the staff had the audacity to ask me for tips, after I explained again why I didn't give any tips, again she just said "o, ok" . I've heard the staffs were terrible before but I didn't think It was that bad. I am never going back there. Staffs services were bad enough to turn me off, not to mention the food was not exactly clean either.

We have attended Neptune in Burnaby many times, mostly for Dim Sum but we had a special occasion so attended for dinner. The food was as expected wonderful. The service was atrocious. It took 2 hours and 41 minutes to finish. One hour to get the main then about 20 minutes for each other dish. When we mentioned our delays our server just laughed. We did not see the humour. Will we return...I doubt it as respect for the customer is as important as the quality of the food. Good luck. It does not take much to display a reputation of disrespect.

What I did like was that they didn't charge us a fee for drinking tea. The prices were cheap. We ate dim sum. What I didn' t like was that where they seated me was right next were they inputted orders. The Server and the managers were talking right by us and it wasn't 6 feet. The menu for dim sum is small. Would I go there again yes, but not for dim sum. Maybe just take out.

5/10 Fresh ingredients but not special tasteService: 7.5/10 service is a bit slow and some of the staff are not very friendlySpace: 8/10 The restaurant space is clean and well-groomed to complete the standards of social distance.Orders:*BBQ pork, chicken, fried tofu & assorted seafood in casserole: $18.95 This is the first time I have heard and tasted this dish so this will be simply my opinion. The seafood here is very fresh and abundant. I like the fried tofu in this casserole, which is chewy on the outside and very soft on the inside. However, the sauce is a bit pale compared to me. Nothing special.*Steam shrimp dumpling: $6.85Each steamer has four pieces. Those four pieces are very huge and have much stuffing. The dumpling shell is not too thick and soft. Inside is a very quality fresh shrimp. Having a delightful feeling of eating. *Steam chicken feet with soy sauce: $6.85Chicken feet have a beautiful golden brown, honeydew, radiating attractive smell, each soft and sweet meat is soaked in seasonings in a thick sauce. Chicken skin and cartilage are cooked to the point that it dissolves in the mouth without chewing.*Steam Siumai with pork and shrimp: $6.85This dish is made from ground pork balls then added with shrimp meat on top. The flavouring is exactly decent to add soy sauce. The inside has both lean meat and fat, the aroma of mushrooms and chewy shrimp. All wrapped in a thin shell made from wheat. *Sticky fried balls with durian: $5.85When you take the first bite, the grease will spread a ton. But the cake is very chewy and sticky. Inside are incredible with intense durian flavour.

There's a piece of hair inside salt and pepper spare ribs!!! It looks like it's been deep fried with it...
Be the first to ReplyWe came for dim sum with our family.
The restaurant was able to accommodate our table for 8 and they took reservations which was helpful; especially during the busy Christmas holiday season at Metrotown. The food was quick and the the service was good. They had a special where they would give a free dish if you ordered a certain amount. Although I wasn't a fan of the deep fried fish that was complimentary, I appreciate the gesture.

I think some of the reviews are a little harsh compared to my experience. The service was quick & friendly and the food was really good too! I would order from here again for sure. The only complaint I have is maybe the pricing is a little too high, but you do get a lot of food, so i think it evens out. Parking in station square can be quite a walk to the restaurant but that's not their fault. Glad this restaurant is on Skip the Dishes.

This is my first time to try this chain restaurant, I can only rate it as average, nothing memorable to make me go back.
Be the first to ReplyYou can't go wrong with wonton noodle.
I wanted wonton noodle and so came here. I ordered it to go and the wait was about 10 - 15 minutes on weekday evening (before 6pm). I decided on the tossed noodle. It came with a bowl of soup too. It was packed separately from the noodle, the sauce was also in a separate container. I liked that. I was asked how many sets of cutlery would I need. I was like huh, I only had one dish, besides the lychee and osmanthus jelly. My question was answered when I got home. The portion was huge. So yes, the dish was no longer under $10 (as with so many places in Vancouver now), but the portion could feed 2-3 small eaters. It was really good too, hit the spot. The lychee and osmanthus jelly was not bad too. It was better to have it all on the same day as it hardened in the fridge the next day. Service was the usual quick, efficient and brusque style. Just do not expect too much.
Be the first to ReplyNeptune Wonton Noodle is a well known establishment to me
Neptune Wonton Noodle is a well known establishment to me since I first visited Vancouver and discovered the joy that is the Richmond area. It was among the first restaurant establishments that specialized in a variety of both comfort food and seafood. I'm thrilled to see another branch open in Burnaby across from the Crystal Mall that provides yet another late night and casual dining option in the area. The menu truly covers the gamut from high end seafood to comfort dishes like wonton noodles and congee. Our order:Chilled Spicy Shrimp - $14.95. A specialty dish of cooked shrimp marinated in an addictive chili, wine, and oil concoction that is just delicious to eat cold. A great appetizer.Salt and Pepper Lobster - $19.99/lb. Plentiful live seafood options including lobster, crab, and Alaskan King crab in season. We opted for stir fried lobster, salt and pepper style and enjoyed a live lobster cooked immediately (brought to the table for a quick inspection) and as delicious as can be.Kokanee Beer - $10 for 3 bottles. What a deal. A great way to discover this very drinkable and light beer. Reminds me of Tsingtao or Sapporo so great with Asian food. Overall, Neptune Noodle may have been surpassed by other establishments but it still can do a dinner right. We had a great meal here and enjoyed the beer and a casual seafood dinner.Neptune Noodle accepts credit cards including Amex.
