Add Muthuโs Curry to your list of must visit restaurants!
Authentic Chettinad cuisine. Ambience was warm and welcoming. Restaurant was well maintained and clean. Restaurant staff were smartly dressed and very friendly. Food was amazing and prices were reasonable. Anyone who loves Indian food will make coming to this restaurant part of their weekly routine. The Nool porotta here is a must try. Fish gravy is also out of this world with a tangy flavour and just enough spice. Biriyani was also good with fragrant flavourful rice and well-seasoned tender chicken pieces. One of the less-known items is the panneer lime soda(rose water lime soda). But it is a must try item. It is extremely refreshing and is not too sweet. It really helps balance the flavours of the other dishes. In conclusion, Muthuโs Curry is a wonderful experience.

Stumbled upon this restaurant only because it was near our hotel. The food was decent and service was good. No real reason to go back, but did not have a bad experience. I found the pricing to be a little bit on the expensive side.
Be the first to ReplyShocking and dangerous food
Shocking meal, cold rice lukewarm food, miserable rude service, wanted paying up front, refused any full or partial refund. Manager just kept apologising but wouldnโt make any tangible gesture of refund. Avoid this restaurant unless you want rice poisoning! Bad,bad, bad beyond belief!!

Be the first to ReplyExcellence compliments for Idris Noor & chef Muhamad Musykur
We were at AlMeraaj for bteakfast, lunch & dinner. The whole team plays a part however 2 of your staffs should be grwatly recommened. namely Idris Nor & chef Muhammad Musykur. Both are attentive, helpful, caring and assisted us with a BIG heart. Idris warmly assisted my elderly aunt without fail every morning & Chef Musykur even d prepare warm drinks when i told him that my mum was unwell. Kudos to them and we hope to see more of them on ohr next visit, inshaa allah.

Very tasty and flavourful. Prompt service. Price on the higher side but has good variety for veg and non veg. I loved the briyani
Be the first to ReplyLousy Muthu curry experience
The muthu curry restaurant is no longer the Muthu we know of the past.. The masala chicken taste bad n not authentically masala. The sambal squid is so tough n overcooked. The service is from bad to worse.. The waiter did not top up our vegetables tat complimented the rice even wen we asked him to.. We were da at lunch time @11:45 n surprisingly only a few tables were occupiedโฆ Then we understood the reason why.. My wife asked if there were new chefs n why the quality of their food had deteriorated so badly n so inconsistent.. only to b given a very vague reply. We have frequently ate in Muthus for almost 30years but would now need to relook to eat there ..bearing in mind their prices are also no longer cheap. So sad.

The spacious, bright, cleanliness, attentive staff and the quality of food stood out. We had the fish head curry and Mutton biryani which were delicious.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Indian cuisine!
Authentic Indian cuisine. Fast, friendly service. Most of the dishes are displayed at a counter. Curries, rice, etc. are portioned from pots at the table. Tastes good, but relatively small portions, hence the high price!
Be the first to ReplyExemplary Helpful Waitstaff
My partner and I were enjoying a lovely lunch complete with a bottle of Pinot Gris in Muthuโs Curry, Race Course Road, in the Little India precinct in Singapore, on Saturday 23 September 2023. My chatty partner went quiet and casually mentioned that a fish bone was stuck in his throat. He could not cough it out โ did not wish to, lest he upset neighbouring diners โ and neither could he swallow the bone. Upon my suggestion, he called for a waitstaff โ Ragu โ and asked for some cooked rice. Ragu and his co-worker, Nanda, who had been attending to us since we stepped in, quickly arrived with a bowl of freshly cooked rice. Both men knew exactly what to do. Without fuss, so as not to distract neighbouring diners, Ragu balled some rice โ he had come prepared, wearing disposable food gloves. My partner swallowed the ball of rice, that helped him to dislodge the fishbone. Within seconds, he gave a wide grin and thanked the two men. It was a busy afternoon, yet Ragu and Nanda hovered at our table to ensure my partner was truly all right, before they carried on. My partner and I are regular diners in Muthuโs Curry. The food has always been excellent, and they also carry a small but lovely selection of wines that pair well with South Indian food and curries. And most important for us โ the ambiance and service in Muthuโs Curry has always been excellent. Last Saturday, we learned how well trained and prepared the waitstaff are in handling emergencies. This is very important as many families descend on the place with their children.
Be the first to Reply๐๐ปVery unimpressive
We had dinner at the so-called โfamousโ Muthuโs and extremely disappointed. The service was good, friendly staff and the restaurant was impressive and clean but the fish head curry was extremely disappointing๐๐ป๐๐ปโฆ the fish was bland! The fish to me seemed steamed and then added to a curry sauce/ gravy! The curry sauce was plenty but not quality! The flavours from the curry sauce couldnโt be tasted in the fishโฆ the fish tasted fishy!!! ๐The sauce/ gravy lacked salt and the masala could have done with more fry time!! The naanโs hardened as they cooled. Interestingly the masala mutton curry was delicious but not spectacular. Will never go back, not worth the time and effort & will never recommend it to friends and family๐๐ป๐๐ป

quite a seemingly popular place in little india, and was fairly decent. nothing amazing, but pretty good food. liked the way that rice was served independently, by a waiter, with a big bowl, so you could have as much as you liked.
Be the first to ReplyGreat recommendation
This gem of a restaurant was recommended by one of the staff at the hotel where we were staying. We visited on a Saturday and there was hardly an empty table. The food was delicious and great value for money.
Be the first to ReplyVery Food Allergy Friendly
The service was fantastic, and watching the tandoor chef in action is always enticing. The other point that really impressed me is they are very aware of food allergens. My niece has a severe nut and egg allergy, requiring an epi-pen to be carried at all times. Not only was the restaurant aware of this type of allergy, but informed the chef and already had sheets made detailing ingredients. Extremely impressed with them for taking the initiative. I look forward to my next visit, soon.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible place
Rude staff. Unkept place. Totally unfriendly for larger families. Donโt visit with families for sure. The place, especially the manager will ruin it for you.
Be the first to ReplyBest Indian in the world
When in Singapore eat Indian ;) We loved it so much we went twice in 2 days. Incredible food and great service. You must have the Tandoori chicken.
Be the first to ReplyThe Go-to Place
The service was excellent. With nine adults and four children, one simply cannot imagine how our smiley young waiter can remain unfazed by the numerous order requests which included some changes. The food was goodโฆ Well, let down slightly by the soggy papadum which was swiftly replaced. A diner who knows the finer points that make a difference.

Very busy restaurant should book to ensure a table. The food was delicious. My husband loves fish head curry and he was delighted with the food. Great service and very friendly staff. Plenty of choice on the menu.

I went for a family lunch and the food was good. The environment is well maintained, Servers were attentive. We had the paneer curry that we felt was very good, the mutton biriany , butter chicken and nam. We felt the food was good enough. They have a big counter in which the food is prepared and they will serve the portions from there. We felt the price was also average compared to other places in the region.
Be the first to ReplyOver priced and terrible
Please, this is the worst Indoan for money we've had in 10 years across so many counties.
"Naan btrad" was absolutely rubbish! It's bad brrqd at best.
Rice , rubbish.
Butter chicken poor
So bad so such an over priced meal vs other options.
Shameful.
Never again and we always give multiple times to see, not here again sorry.

Excellent Mutu's Curry Race Course Road
Decided to have brunch with the Wife there today. Its been a long time since we had visited this place and it didn't disappoint . The chicken masala, mutton vindaloo, sambal fish, curried squid and the free flow of veggies was worth every penny of S$100. Their mango lassie and homemade ice ๐ง lemon ๐ต were even astounding. A truly must visit especially their flag ship outlet at Race Course Road.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Indian food
Having tried a few sub standard Indian places this is a great find and will be hard to beat.
Quality food and ingredients.
It won't drop my rating, however do kote it is a little expensive.
If I could improve one thing it would be the naan bread, just not great.
Fish head curry, in spacious surroundings in Little India
Other branches such as Suntec might be convenient for you, but we have known this place for twenty years and to us Little India is the most suitable venue for Fish head curry. Whether it's familiar of a novelty, it is the must dish.
We were not sure which fish to opt for but our choice would have been red snapper and that was the meaty fish we were offered. Rose lassi was not available so I had mango lassi. The rice portions were generous. I liked the way you automatically received two portions of vegetables.
Bad Service
I was go in there and waited for a long time, but no one came and took my order, thatโs so irresponsible
Be the first to ReplyRice serving was bad
This is my feedback.
We dine at Muthus curry for dinner. When the chinese server came up to us to serve the rice, he served my child rice and keep on saying enough? enough? This is not correct. I believe indian restaurant indian culture we serve rice and we should stop them by having our portion correct and not the server telling us enough for each spoon served. Please look into it and it is like not welcoming us to have more rice.
