Mother Wolf Las Vegas Reviews
Service was excellent.
We never felt rushed to finish our meal to free up the table. A wonderful, relaxing experience and the food was delicious.
We came after watching the Netflix episode with Evan Funke.
We were not disappointed. From the focaccia and blossoms to the short rib and carbonara, everything was excellent. The staff made the experience exceptional. I can't wait to have a reason to come back.
Disappointing Experience Despite the Great Food
Mother Wolf is an old-world Italian restaurant located inside the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. We had a 4:30 pm reservation and were seated promptly in a small, out-of-the-way room. The ambiance felt like an afterthought compared to the main dining room that we walked through. Service was friendly and on point. Our water glasses were never empty. Overall, the experience was too fast. The different courses came out too fast for our liking. We weren't quite rushed, but I didn't feel like I could fully savor the fine dining experience I had hoped for. We were not allowed to order a bread course without placing our entire order. Another thing to note is that the food is delivered in the order the kitchen prepares it, not necessarily in the order you requested it. So it didn't feel as much of a cohesive Italian experience, at least not the way we're used to. The focacia (sfincione) was the best focacia I've had. It was light and airy with a subtle flavor. I've wanted to try squash blossoms for years and this is the first time I've seen it on a menu. The squash blossoms (fiore di zucca) were terrific, and I will order them every time I see them on a menu from now on. They were a perfect blend of soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I could have demolished a platter of them. The tonnarelli cacio e pepe was creamy and delicious. The pasta was slightly more al dente than I prefer. It stuck to my teeth, which I'm not a fan of. But that's a personal preference, and I would order it again. My husband ordered rigatoni all'amatriciana and enjoyed it. I tried a bit and it was a little acidic for me, but still a sound bite of food. I would not make a point of going to the Fountainebleau specifically for Mother Wolf. Still, if I ever find myself at the Fontainebleau again, I will definitely eat at Mother Wolf.

Service is always great! I like dirty martinis and the server recommended the caper martini and it was delicious. We started off with the squash blossom appetizers, filled with ricotta. This was delicious and I always will get this one. We also got the meatballs, which in my opinion they were all right, but that was just my personal preference. I don't really like the short rib on the inside. It was a bit dry but everyone else at the table liked it. You always have to get that focaccia bread. It's so delicious and so buttery. For the main dish, we got two pizzas. We got an all mushroom pizza, which we substituted out the meat since we had a vegetarian with us. This was OK. But the margarita pizza was so delicious and thin and perfectly flavored. I would get this one over again. For the pastas, we order Cacho Pepe, which was very al dente and very black peppery. This one was my least favorite, but still good. We also got the butter pasta with prosciutto and this one was delicious. The prosciutto is so perfect on top and very soft. My favorite was the rigatoni Ragu pasta, perfectly flavored pasta sauce, not too salty, perfect portion of meat, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Definitely my favorite. I actually got another one to go I love going to this place. It's a bit pricey, but it's definitely good for a nice dinner out.
I'm back again.
... Funke did his big one w/this restaurant. The food is perfection! *chefs kiss*
Mother Wolf truly can do no wrong.
This review is based on two (amazing) visits to this place - the most recent being on 8/22/2025. EVERYTHING about this place is flawless. The service is on point (and it didn't hurt that our waiter was both very nice and very handsome. ;) But the FOOD... everything I've had here is just so incredibly fantastic. Of particular note is their Sfincione - a beautiful focaccia with a super-thin delicate crust and just the most epic focaccia I've ever had. This is an absolute must and so good that my party once ordered two of them. Their pizzas and pastas are just as great. Come hungry, listen to the staff's suggestions, and leave incredibly happy. 100/10 recommend!

Our waiter Jason was so knowledgeable! He gave impeccable service and all his recommendations were so delicious and bright just as he described in detail. You could see the Jason took pride in his work. It's a beautiful meal in a welcoming environment! Loved every moment and will be back.

It's been a long 5 months since I've been back and Mother Wolf still reigns supreme as one of my top favorites in Las Vegas!!!
Olive Garden in Wolf's Clothing
I really wanted to like this place but it fell short in many areas. The seating: If you are not seated in the dinning area, you will have a subpar experience. Avoid the low energy side room, the back room and the side bar facing the kitchen, which reminds me of the depressing painting Nighthawks by Edward Hopper. The music: Why are they placing loud cheesy 90s Hip-Hop in an "authentic" Italian restaurant. I get it, it's Vegas, but it really cheapened the ambience. The menu: the font is incredibly small and hard to see in the dark restaurant , so unless you know a lot about Italian cuisine, you are at the mercy of the staff's picks who will steer you to the most expensive dishes and wine. The food: Very disappointing. The infamous focaccia bread was soft and good. Unfortunately they upsold to get the burrata (that included the bread) but included very salty and mediocre prosciutto that I didn't really want. The best dish was the fettuccini, which was light and buttery, then got hard and overly cheesy as it cooled. The "spicy" rigatoni was terrible, straight out of Olive Garden. All the wine glasses I was recommended were very average and spendy. The floor plan is very cluttered and you are constantly running into staff and servers in the tight spaces between the tables. I'd recommend going to Komodo on the second level of FontaineBleu if you want a fun upscale dinner in Vegas.
Our server Alma was amazing!! She was friendly, attentive
Our server Alma was amazing!! She was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu making great recommendations all evening! The food was authentically Italian and the ambiance was beautiful. We would absolutely return and recommend to others!
Our server was Lauren (visited on 9/4) and she was amazing!
Our server was Lauren (visited on 9/4) and she was amazing! We were a group of 7 women who had visited Tre Dita in Chicago, so we knew about some dishes we wanted. But, she absolutely knew what to recommend and what we liked. She was so sweet, attentive, and loved her service. Food was just as amazing as Tre Dita, the top dishes were the blossoms, vegetables with burrata, the fettuccine al burro and the steak. The foccacia was the best. Chef Funke Is a genius! We loved it!!
Great Italian food with all imported ingredients! Service

Mother Wolf is a must do!
We loved this restaurant. It is beautiful as well All the staff that we dealt with were wonderful Our server was Shelsea and she was fabulous! She knew the menu very well and tended to our every need We started with squash blossoms and the were perfect with just the right amount of tasty filling. a+ Next we ordered a new pizza that was a white sauce with fig and prosciutto. It was heavenly! a+ My daughter in law had the chicken and she said it was wonderful A I had the Caccio e Pepe. I would have liked the pasta cooked a little more and less pepper. It was good but iโve had better B The two men had the short rib ragu rigatoni. The both enjoyed it but couldnโt eat it all It was my husband s birthday and they brought him a sweet little chocolate cake yum!! The food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was beautiful. We will DEFINITELY will return โค๏ธโค๏ธ PS how could i forget the bread!? The best ever!!
Disastrous Birthday Dinner
We were celebrating a birthday and after the wonderful time we had in October, decided to go back to Mother Wolf. We were staying at the Wynn and even from there it is an Uber ride. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it. They sat us in an unattractive out of the way room. Last time we were in the main dining room with its lovely decor and vibrant atmosphere. Our server, a woman maybe Maria was so hard to understand. She sounded like Latka Gravas from the show Taxi. We started with their signature focaccia and ordered our entrees. As we were eating the bread a mindless looking guy with a blank stare came over and took one of the bread plates. I was actually eating the bread as he did this, and we had half of it still on the table. Then a clueless young man showed up with just one entree. We told him we had ordered two entrees and that we wanted to eat at the same time. He looked confused and headed back to the kitchen. He literally had to pass the other server who had the other entree. Now we have a situation. We asked for the manager who gave us some story about serving the food as it comes out. We hate that and it wasn't that way in October, and our server never mentioned it to us. Either that or we did not understand her with her heavy accent. They finally brought the two pasta entrees, which were not as good as the last time. Our server finally showed up after all this curfuffle. They comped our meal and brought us a nice little cake and Tiramisu also comped. It really didn't make up for the aggravation and lousy evening we endured with the not so great room and missteps. This is a high end restaurant that should have it's act together by now. It's not easy to get to if you aren't staying at the Fontainbleau so an Uber or cab is needed. It is no longer worth our time and effort to go there again. A wasted evening. I would have rated it Terrible, but they did try to make it right.
Average food as overly salted
We had high hopes for this restaurant but left feeling disappointed. The restaurant itself is decadent but the food is just average as all the food is over salted. Before attending we did watch vlogs where they were complaining of the food being over salted but we thought it was just their preference, but it wasnโt. For starters we had the focaccia bread which was lovely and soft but had too much salt. For mains I had the carbonara but the prosciutto ham was very salty causing the sauce to become over salted. My wife had a plain pizza but the tomato base sauce was again over salted. The food could be so much better if only they reduced the amount of salt. Needless to say we were drinking water all evening. I therefore could not recommend this restaurant.
GO TO MAYFAIR INSTEAD. Rude servers and every dish was over salted! ๐คฎ
Wow, is all I can say! Right from the binning the server was insulted that we didnโt go with heโs recommendation of ordering 12 items for 4 peopleโฆ (pretty sure he just wanted a bigger tip on the check) took a long time to get drinks, and again the serve was so fricking rude if we asked for anything. The ambience and the restaurant was OK. when we finally did get our food everythingโฆ and I mean everything was so over salted we almost count eat it but we were starving at this pointโฆ when the server asked how our food was we told him โhonestly extremely saltyโ HE ROLLED HIS EYES AT US AND WALKED OFF. for the price of this place food should of been much better and the servers need a lot more training. Will never go back to this place. Go to MAYFAIR! If you want an excellent meal and extremely good service!
Outstanding Italian
Located in the Fontainebleau, this classy Italian restaurant is well designed and offers outstanding food and excellent service.
Don't Waste Your Time and Money - Overrated Terrible Time
Right from the start the experience was doomed. We made a 9:00pm reservation a week in advance for 2 people to celebrate a special event. They didn't sit us until 9:30pm. They offered us a 1 inch pour of cheap prosecco to make up for the wait. We ordered 2 negroni's - $20+ each drink. Way to much Campari, average drink. (Nice ice cube). Bottle Water $10 We normally order a bottle of wine with dinner. However, the wine list was so overpriced, that the lowest priced mediocre wines were $80-$100. The better wines on the wine list were $300+ way over priced. For the food we ordered the following: FIORI DI ZUCCA - $28 - Horrible - We received 5 small zucchini, undercooked, with much cheese and salty. Pizza Margherita - $25+ - I ordered it crispy and well done. Came out soft with no crunch. Bland sauce and taste - Very disappointed. Rigatoni All'Amatriciana - $38 - We asked for the pasta to be al dente. It came out overcooked and like mush. Such a waste. We were so disappointed that we didn't even attempt to have dolci/deserti, caffe or a digestif. Do not waste your time or money. All around a bad experience.
The focaccia! The focaccia! The focaccia! The focaccia! The
The focaccia! The focaccia! The focaccia! The focaccia! The focaccia! The focaccia! Why 4 stars? Service could have been better considering the price... but the focaccia!
We have had many culinary experiences in Las Vegas but
We have had many culinary experiences in Las Vegas but Mother Wolf wins. Our server, Jason, was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and made the most outstanding recommendations based on our preferences. From the Polpette Di Coda (short rib meatballs), the Diavola pizza, Gricia pasta, to the lemon cheesecake and Meyer lemon & orange blossom gelato... A truly exquisite meal! Oh! An order the bread, it is the focaccia of dreams. The decor, the 80's & 90's hip hop (not loud) all contributed to a great evening out! We will definitely return.

I don't usually eat at Italian restaurants after years of being underwhelmed and finding that the Italian food I make at home is better and MUCH cheaper. I was actually intrigued when I read great things about Mother Wolf, and since I was staying at the Fontainebleau for one night, I figured it would be fun to break my own rules and try it. So glad I did. I ended up loving pretty much everything about the experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. I read many reviews about "loud rap music," but they either turned it down or people are just freaking out about nothing because yes, there was rap music, but it was pretty quiet in my opinion. I happened to love it! It was nice that the hostess and the waitstaff all acknowledged that I was celebrating my birthday. Our server, Claudio, was excellent and attentive. We started with the fiori di zucca and they were perfection! I haven't had squash blossoms in a while, and these didn't disappoint. They may have been the best I've had. The balance of flavor with the cheese was on point, and they were fried perfectly. We also ordered the Diavola pizza. Loved it! I decided to not overstuff myself and take a piece back to the room with me. That was an excellent choice because honestly, it was even better cold the next morning before my workout! It felt even spicier the next day, and I can never get enough spice. We split the Tagliata Di Manzo, which was the prime ribeye cap. It was cooked to the perfect temperature (we ordered it medium), and was so incredibly tender and juicy. The accompanying potatoes were so good, and to be honest, the arugula was REALLY memorable. (Usually arugula is just there... but whatever they did to this arugula made it special!) For dessert, we ordered the cannoli, and I especially liked the hint of orange rind flavor. They also brought a special birthday dessert, which was so kind. Everything was great. The only minor issue I had was getting my water refilled. I didn't see anyone walking around refilling water regularly. I get it, they want you to order more alcohol, but I don't drink, and I love my water! (Hydration is key for glowing skin.) Our waiter caught me looking around trying to find someone for a refill, and immediately, he was ON IT. I appreciated that. At this price point, I feel that they should be more on top of it. But again, that's a very small issue, and I can't remove a star for that. I'm really happy I broke my tradition and tried this restaurant. I wish it was more centrally located at a better resort on the strip because I probably wouldn't come back to this hotel again. But since the food was so good, maybe I'll make an exception.
The best meal we have all year on my birthday real Italian
The best meal we have all year on my birthday real Italian food fresh ingredients and must try everything here we will go back again.
I was so excited to eat here but everything was just meh.
For starters service was not good- at all. Everyone was brought their dinner at different times. Our server forgot to bring out our salads until after we ate our mains. Food just ok. Service very poor.
Wonderful meal for a special occasion
We celebrated my wifeโs parentsโ 50th anniversary here. The space was beautiful. The staff made us feel very special, especially my in-laws. The food was amazing! We especially loved the focaccia, meatballs, (so crunchy and delicious), the FETTUCCINE AL BURRO, the RIGATONI ALLโAMATRICIANA, and the Branzino. Overall, a fabulous experience
We really like this restaurant.
Friendly service and excellent food. Didn't appreciate having to pour our own wine after spending $400 on a bottle but I guess it's Vegas at the Fountain Bleu and that's the way things roll. Love the grey anchovy toast appetizer and squash blossoms. So yummy! Pizzas was very good, but the pasta dish we tried lacked depth of flavor and was a touch bland.
Absolutely obsessed with this restaurant!! Beautiful
Absolutely obsessed with this restaurant!! Beautiful interior with an open kitchen! Service was OUTSTANDING! Our server MATT had fantastic recommendations for us! The food is SO delicious! The pizza & pasta are a MUST try!! The meatballs were also very tasty! The MAMA RHEA was soooooo perfectly balanced! Also they offer an Expresso martini with coconut and it's one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!
My wife and I dined on 7/15 for our wedding anniversary and
My wife and I dined on 7/15 for our wedding anniversary and we truly enjoyed the entire experience. Mike was our server and he was excellent with recommendations and timeliness. We ordered the margherita pizza which was super thin and super flavorful. Very unique. For our main we split the all'arrabbiata and Mike asked the kitchen if we could sub rigatoni instead of spaghetti which they honored and it was delicious. I also ordered the crispy short rib meatballs which were so different and so good. The drinks were amazing too and my wife loved the mama rhea apple martini. Kim, the manager, also stopped by to thank us for spending our anniversary with them which was super nice. We'll be back soon!
Excellent.
Just like the LA location with a twist + they have the focaccia on the menu here! The problem with this place is everything is good! I wish I could eat more so I could try more things! On this visit, I ordered the fennel salad, margarita pizza and focaccia and none of it disappointed. In a perfect world, I would have been able to fit a pasta or two and appetizer in there. Sat at the bar and the bartender/server was really attentive and just generally pleasant. This location is much more convenient than my LA one so I plan to go back very soon!
Tyler was literally the best, most patient waiter I've ever
Tyler was literally the best, most patient waiter I've ever had. When I told him about my dairy allergy, he went through the entire menu and told me what doesn't have dairy and what could be made without dairy he also gave us clean plates mid-appetizers. So thoughtful! The vibes of this restaurant were so intentional! Love the hip hop music amidst the Amalfi coast vibes and the authentic Roman food such a great concept and the food was exquisite! Literally everything was good so I'm not even gonna go item by item. What was particularly good was the shrimp with the Bianca pizza--oh em gee. Dip the Bianca pizza bread in the green shrimp sauce and it's to die for! Try it and report back!
Food is nothing special and service is poor
I wouldn't recommend. We were staying at the Fontainebleau for 8 nights and ate at Mother Wolf the first night we arrived. We had pizza and it was fine - not as good as fairly basic Pizzerias in the UK. The main issue we had was on the second time we went to eat here. A girl at the front desk went out of her way to be rude - really strange in Vegas. We had walked in after checking with the hotel concierge earlier in the evening to check whether there would likely be space. The restaurant wasn't at capacity, but for some reason the lady in question just didn't want to seat us and didn't even look up from her computer to explain that she only had room at the bar. After sitting at the bar for 10 mins with no menus, we decided to head out. It just really isn't worth the price when you're getting terrible service, when you can choose from any of the other amazing restaurants that the hotel has to offer.
Plays second fiddle to Carbone, but still good!
Really cool space, and the food is very good. I always struggle to compare every place to Carbone, which is better than this. The focaccia bread is supposed to be a star but it was so so. The pizza was one of our favorites, thin and really tasty! We also got the gnocchi which was very good. The fried risotto didn't have a ton of flavor for what it was.
Nice
Had heard great things about this place so was really looking forward to it. Overall, a great experience but a couple of things slightly let it down... firstly, the tables are set pretty close together. Secondly, as soon as seated we were asked whether we would like still or sparkling water - We asked for iced regular water. We were served a bottle & when we questioned it, were told this was at a cost. Pretty naughty when we had asked for the iced water which seems to be served complimentary everywhere else with a dinner. The waiter was happy to take the bottle away and remove from the bill, and we were then served just regular 'free' water during the rest of the meal.. but this did leave a bad taste and should not have happened. Just to note, we were also ordering beer and cocktails - so they were making money off us for drinks anyway! Dinner is served family style. My husband and I had the focaccia to start which was delicious, highly recommend this. We also ordered a MARINARA CON BURRATA pizza, which was just 'ok' and RIGATONCINI ALLA VACCINARA (short rib ragu) which was excellent. Lovely ambience in the restaurant with the big open kitchen, and would return (just for the focaccia!).
Good Italian at a beautiful hotel
The focaccia and the Rigatoni Amatriciana were amazing. The squash blossoms were good, too. Sommelier on staff if you are into that sort of thing. Nice ambience, huge kitchen with wood burning oven. The Fountainebleau hotel itself was stunning. Highly recommend. Had a delicious mocktail at Bleu Bar before dinner as well.
Looking forward to coming here again
We wanted to visit the new Fontainebleau and try out a few of their restaurants. Mother Wolf turned out to be a real treat. We had an excellent meal - both the food and the drinks. Several of the dishes were Italian classics with interesting twists. The service was outstanding and our waiter knew every aspect of all the dishes on the menu. However some of the descriptions were a little pretentious - such as telling us that the chef took five years to perfect his focaccia bread recipe.
Great atmosphere
At first, we had our mind set on Nowhere lounge upstairs but it wasnโt opened until later and I wanted a drink before dinner. I scanned around and saw this unique bar. It had nice r&b over the speakers, comfy seating, you can try your luck at the tables and roulette as well as watch sports. We sat at the bar. Jarett was the mixologist. We intended to stay for just one drink but ended up with 3 each! Great conversations, atmosphere, and delicious drinks. First round was just the teaser. Both cocktails were refreshing. -Winner takes: rum, lime, pamplemousse - refreshing -Promised land: vodka, honey, lemongrass, strawberries and lime - tasted like a berry smoothie Second round just gets better. Jarrett recommended these. -Kicker: whisky, yozu, lemon, frothy egg white - smooth citrusy -Jorge: my all time favorite. Maybe because I love tequila, lime, pineapple. I could sip this all night. Third round: -Sunflower: gin, elderflower, lemon - had the bitter grapefruit taste -Bisca: tequila, lemon, orange sherry, cucumber - least favorite. Each drink cost $21. The first round didnโt taste like $21 quality cocktail. But the second round, justified the price. Jorge was my favorite, followed by Promised land, kicker and sunflower. Jarett said drinks at the bar usually have 1.5 ounce of alcohol but Solo Club uses 2 to 2.5 ounce each. This lounge would be so much better if they had a live deejay spinning the r&b jams instead of the loud speakers.
Rude Staff
We sat at the bar an the bartender who served us was awful. He was sarcastic and extremely rude. The bar stools were dirty when we arrived and then I asked for someone to clean it he gave me a dirty towel to clean it myself. I donโt mind cleaning a seat at a fast food joint but not at a restaurant of this caliber. During the course of our meal I asked for another cloth napkin and he responded "we only give one per customer out.โ When I tell you I was speechless. I replied โI have been to the Mother Wolf in LA, Funke and Felix and this would never happen there." The food was fine not at the same level as the LA outpost. Just extremely disappointing.
Excellent service and meal
We had reservations for 7 and enjoyed a delicious family style Italian dinner. Our waiter made the evening extra special. We had a fabulous time!
Letdown
I had heard a lot of other people post about this place and about how good it was. I was really looking forward to visiting, and when I got there, aesthetically it was what I was expecting. I sat at the bar and got great service there. However, the food was a big disappointment. I got the meatball appetizer which was fair at best. The meatballs were really small and they had a crust on them that I wasn't really digging. The Linguine alle Vongole was not actually on the paper menu that night but when I asked about it, they said they could do it. I wish I had chosen something else. The pasta was chewy. Very disappointing and I probably won't be going back.
