Be the first to ReplyAffordable Meal with a stunning View!
Just finished eating at Mersea and it was not only a place to get delicious food, we had the burgers and they were delicious, moist and the fry’s were crazy good, but it was also one of the most stunning views I’ve ever seen of the whole Bay Area. Mesun the owner came over, treated us warmly and sang to us with her beautiful voice, amazing personality and made us feel so special! Would highly recommend a visit for any occasion! A+++ experience!

Went here for lunch with my coworkers. It was a beautiful view, beautiful gardens and good food. Can't want to come back and enjoy some drinks on a sunny day.

Great spot! Spectacular views overlooking the bay bridge. Beatiful landscape to a super inviting restaurant. The chowda was so good, almost ate the bowl. Mo please! Then had one of the best sandwiches of my life... their tri tip. Holy moly. It was a religious/spiritual experience. Thank you to the visionaries of this unique culinary experience. Loved it...10 stars!!

Be the first to ReplyLoved this Treasure Island gem!
First time visiting this hidden gem with friends. The owner, Meesum, is delightful. Unique set up. This restaurant is created using multiple ship containers on Treasure Island. Live music added to the beautiful views of San Francisco. Order your food, grab a table and enjoy. Will definitely visit again. We had the pretzel with whole grain mustard or garlic aioli for starters along with a pitcher of Bloody Marys. Our table enjoyed amazing fish tacos, fish chowder and French fries. You won’t be disappointed. Be sure to check out Mersea. Great for families and pet friendly.
Be the first to ReplyMidweek is undiscovered at this great place, with killer view of San Francisco
Hugely undiscovered mid-week experience awaits here! The view is incredible and the food is just wonderful - totally unexpected to have fish tacos this good in such a low key place. Very friendly staff (and owner), they look out for you and make sure you have a great time. Weekends apparently can be busy, but take the 10 minute ferry to Treasure Island from the Ferry Building mid-week and you'll have an easy time sampling their great food and the incredible view.

Ambiance great, view is amazing and food is to die for. Stopped here after some long flights from London and New York last week. We were pooped but had been thinking about our favourite place for dinner since getting to the airport 20 hours beforehand. So after dumping off our bags we scooped up Albert our Jack Russel and headed out to dog friendly Mersea. I always have been reluctant to write about this place, trying to keep it all to myself. We love the laid back atmosphere and after too many nights of fine dining and stuffy tea and crimpets, Mersea was such a welcoming oasis. FIsh and chips baby!
Be the first to ReplyMersea lunch
Went to Mersea with my wife and close family friend. The view is spectacular, however the food was nothing special. Our meal was good but nothing exceptional. The caesar sald lacked enough dressing. The fish tacos were good but nothing exceptional. I read the good reviews and am surprised it is considered #1 on TripAdvisor. Perhaps the setting and spectacular view influences this rating.

My wife and I had an amazing lunch after picking up our daughter from the airport. We have been to Mersea several times and continue to come back for the unrivaled views and amazing food. This time, in particular, was special because we were asked to dine at the owner’s (Meesun) private table. We had a great meal and thoroughly enjoyed her company. We have lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years and this is one of our favorite places for lunch. Enjoy!

Amazing place. I love their atmosphere and the great location. You can't get a better view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city skyline. This is the spot to be for sunset. The food is fantastic and the drinks are nice and cold ;-). Meesun, Park and team are fun and create a friendly atmosphere. I can only recommend to visit!

With another couple, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mersea on Treasure Island. The food was fresh and delicious. The views of the Pacific and the city of San Fransisco were amazing. We met the owner, Mersea, and she was terrific. She provided a special dessert for our friend who was celebrating her birthday. It's a must-do and well worth the trip across the bay!

Be the first to ReplyGreat Time at Mersea
We were on Treasure Island from So Cal for a high school sailing regatta this past weekend February 25-36, 2023. It was a cold weekend so we were so happy to find this warm, welcoming and beautiful restaurant. Wow, the ambiance and view were the absolute best. Meesun was working that weekend and was so helpful to our team and others. All the parents had a lovely lunch on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the live music. We were chatting with Meesun about our event and she mentioned that the restaurant could make pizzas for us for the kids lunch the next day. She even gave us her cell number to let her know how many pizzas we’d like. Another mom and I picked them up on Sunday and even got to enjoy the delicious mimosas while we waited the short time for them to be ready. The kids loved them, they were so good. If you want a wonderful meal in this gorgeous setting with the absolute BEST view of the city and Golden Gate Bridge, you MUST try Mersea. The cargo container repurposing is so unique and well done. This venue could be an all day affair.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a magical place
Came here with my partner and our 6 year old, didn’t have too many expectations, as most of the island is under construction. This place is a fantastic little surprise! They had live music on Saturday afternoon, the food was completely fresh, made to order and delicious! The view is top notch, you cannot beat it, and the staff and owner were so friendly and kind, we didn’t want to leave! Plenty of outdoor seating, indoor seating, and every spot had some entertainment: music, seagull watching or City views. A great place to take out of town guests and the food doesn’t disappoint. We will come back as much as we can!!!

Be the first to ReplyA welcoming indoor/outdoor restaurant with super delicious food and music along the waterfront.
Very friendly owner/operator does it all - she even has a beautiful singing voice. Accommodating for children and adults. We loved our visit
Be the first to ReplyYay on the Bay!
This place is truly one of the best places in the Bay as a destination and chill restaurant spot all rolled in one. The food is so yummy! We had some of the daily specials and some of the classic favorites too. And of course, we had to have dessert and coffee to top it all off. Everything was delicious. The best part though was the welcoming atmosphere. The owner makes a huge effort to create a community atmosphere and searves high quality local foods, involves local musicians, and shares books in the new little free library. check it out!
Be the first to ReplySo Bunky, all you want is a a restaurant with a killer view of San Francisco and it's bridges and skyline?
Considering what World Class views San Francisco, and it's Bay and Bridges has to offer, there are relativly too few affordble dining places that the City provides. But MERSEA, on Treasury Island, covers in Spades, all of these requirements. Not an eatery with four course meals, the menu offfers wonderful burgers and pizza, and my favorite, fish and chips: a large chunk of Haddock cooked in an unusual batter, with "chips" in the form of fat, steak fries. The kitchen offers a variety soups, of course with a fish soup-actually loaded with fish! Salads and fish tacos, of course. There are a variety of tables that offer unobstructed views across the Bay. And a real San Francisco oddity, more than ample, free parking, a few steps from the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food + view + service + unique setting = well worth it!
This place is great: the food, the drinks, the service. The view of San Francisco, the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge is the best I've seen. If anyone knows of any other place quite like it, please let me know. I'm willing to fly anywhere to see for myself :) This is a perfect spot for lunch with family and friends.
Be the first to ReplyThumbs up for a great spot for lunch or brunch.
Great chowder, excellent shrimp roll, and outstanding fish & chips. Laid back, beach bar vibe, befitting the island. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyThe best restaurant on treasure island!
I went to Mersea with my neighbor and we had an amazing time! The food was absolutely delicious and there was a lovely atmosphere. They offered great vegetarian options and there was also a gorgeous view of part of San Francisco. Everyone there was so nice and helpful, especially the owner :). If you want to have an amazing experience on treasure island, Mersea is a must-do.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Treasure Island Gem!
I love this place, everything from the view, to the food, the cocktails, the owners and the staff. An all around charming place built from shipping containers, surrounded by amazing succulents. View - sits right on the waterfront on Treasure Island with an amazing view of the San Francisco waterfront, the Golden Gate bridge and other treasures of the San Francisco Bay. Food - I have had clam chowder, fish taco's, Caesar salad and fish and chips, all were very good. Cocktails - the Elderflower spritz, Mule, Espresso martini, all delicious. Owners - we had a lovely conversation with co-founder MeeSun. She was very interested in making sure everyone at the restaurant was happy and well taken care of. Servers - offered suggestions and were very pleasant. There is now a ferry from San Francisco to Treasure Island which is an added bonus if you are coming from or going to San Francisco. I look forward to my next visit to Mersea.

Even though I’m a San Francisco local I don’t make it out to Treasure Island enough, but I have had the pleasure of eating here twice over the last few weeks and it was so great that I’ll definitely make time to come back.Their Bloody Mary is in the top 3 I've ever had and all the food I tried (Caesar salad, old bay fries, shrimp sandwich special) was excellent. The ambience is great, a good spot for a group or meeting, lovely views, friendly staff. Good vibes all around, highly recommend!
