Just yes.
This restaurant is perfection. I have been often, both with other people and alone and every single food selection has been divine, seriously. There is a Cavatelli Nero & Maine Lobster & Scallop that is making my mouth water right now while writing this. The craft cocktails are fantastic, and Kevin behind the bar can make you anything you want with a big smile. The wine selection is lovely. The seating is very good for dining alone, there is a large "chef's table" I think it's called? And you sit with other people, I always end up in interesting conversations. They also have tables and a beautiful outside dining area. No question, just go.
Be the first to ReplyServer was not overbearing and very attentive.
Food is good for 1 person so you tend to order more to layer the palette-- I like this approach so you only eat what you want. Ambiance is such a vibe-- cozy, warm, familiar and yet very customer centric.

Food tastes fresh, is cooked well, and presented aesthetically. Olive oil bread is moist with honey butter on top makes your mouth happy. Octopus and chorizo appetizer has a nice chipotle and a bit smoky flavor. The duck breast is excellent. Thickly cut portion of breasts gives a good bite, nicely spiced, with a sweet potato puree. The sea bass could've had a more buttery texture. Service was prompt and attentive. Decor has elements of farm house and brick, all tastefully done. This is a solid restaurant serving familiar American flavors with fresh ingredients.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing tasting food, just lacking in substance.
I'll preface this by saying facing, small plates is not my preference in dinner. I am generally a large eater who can appreciate good food. But if I am left too hungry with my wallet empty, it's hard for me to leave satisfied. We came with a group of six and ordered that many dishes to start. The waiter suggested we order more to make sure we were not still hungry by the end of the night. To his credit - he understood the portion sizes well. Despite paying over 30 for scallops, we only got two of them. Of course we understood that this should have been shared only between 1-2 people given the size. The gnocchi and other noodle dishes were amazing, nonetheless. They also offered us a small dessert for one of our party member's birthdays - a nice treat to end the night! If there was some simple bread or other filling app that would have made it perfect.
Be the first to ReplyThe best brunch plate that I've ever had.
And I don't speak that easily. Felt like I was eating a dinner entree for brunch - in a good way. Duck pastrami hash & poached eggs, caramelized onion, parsley salsa verde & local greens. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the salsa was great. The duck and the hash was other worldly. Tons of duck. In almost a stew of small potatoes perfectly softened. In some type of gravy. Wow. Even the greens are great. Nice light dressing. Almost salty. Service was friendly and attentive. My daughter said her avocado toast was excellent. I don't make it to Brooklyn that frequently but can't wait to go back to this great spot. I didn't drink that day but they had a nice looking and well stocked bar.

The hostess was so kind to our daughter. Food was great. We will be back!

The omelette was well made. The scrambled eggs were very tasty. Service - Our server was Dakota, she was very professional and nice. Added benefit. Ambiance - Very mice decor, professional staff, lovely crowd. Very chill brunch.

This Michelin star restaurant is the best I've ever had, and I've traveled with my fiancé to quite a few Michelin star spots. We come here again and again and are never disappointed. Any buratta dish they make is to die for, and if they ever have a braised meat with ricotta dish you have to try it. Desserts are always on point, creme caramel is my favorite so far. They alternate dishes so that you can always try something new, and the ambiance is beautiful, perfect for a date night! Staff and service has always been exceptional, and surprisingly not as packed as I would have expected it to be considering this is the best restaurant that my fiancé and I have ever been to- doesn't hurt to make a reservation though to be safe. Majority of the time we leave with a bill less than $200, which is amazing considering most Michelin restaurants start at $200/$250 PER person. 10/10 across the board. Some advice, their appetizers are the best, we normally just order three appetizers and share.
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant of all time.
I have eaten here probably 10+ times since living in the city and Kevin (at the bar) is always serving up the meanest cocktails. Lauren is the nicest person ever. If they have the gnoccheti on the menu you simply have to try it. Meadowsweet, if you're listening, please never take it off the menu. I want to mainline that stuff into a vein.
Be the first to ReplyJust ok, I wouldn't say it was particularly notable.
I see they have a lot of creative dishes online, but I didn't see as many on the menu. Maybe the key is to come at dinner vs. brunch
Be the first to ReplyWe just had another amazing meal at Meadowsweet.
We had our favorite waiter, John. He provided excellent service with such a lovely disposition. I had the tuna tartare- fresh and delicious. My partner had the burrata which was tasty companioned with a variety of other flavors. I of course need to mention the dessert. We had the delicious burgers cooked to perfection and the fries were hot- which makes me extra happy. Of course- I had the blueberry crumble and we also indulged in their Valentine's special - a brown butter tart with whipped cream. I was in pure heaven. Their manager Lauren runs an amazing restaurant with on point cocktails. Again we only go to Brooklyn for one restaurant and this is it!

My favorite Michelin rated restaurant, as someone who has collected over 30 plus stars. The duck breast is one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life.
Be the first to ReplyI recently had the pleasure of dining at Meadowsweet and I
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Meadowsweet and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant has a charming ambiance that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the food was simply delicious. For my appetizer, I ordered the empanadas, and they were outstanding. The pastry was perfectly crisp and the filling was flavorful and well-seasoned. It was a great start to the meal, and it made me eager for the rest of the courses. For my main course, I went with the egg sandwich, and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the bread was fresh and toasted just right. The combination of the ingredients was spot on, creating a mouth-watering sandwich that left me feeling satisfied and content.I also have to mention that my girlfriend, who is only 16, was thrilled with the non-alcoholic mocktail that they made her. She really enjoyed it, and it was great to see that the restaurant had options for those who didn't want to drink alcohol.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Meadowsweet. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was charming. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

This place is wonderful! Every single dish we ordered was 10/10. The service was also perfect and it's one of those restaurants you recommend to everyone visiting. Follow my instagram: @global_grubs for more food recommendations and photos!
Be the first to ReplyWe really enjoyed brunch at Meadowsweet.
The ambiance is nice, there's enough space between tables, and service was quick and attentive. We shared the donuts to start which were warm and messy, and went well with the caramel sauce. We got an avocado toast which was well sized for the price, and the goat cheese frittata which was delicious, and we also shared an order of fingerling potatoes which were great and topped with caramelized onions. All of the drinks we got - champagne, white wine, espresso martini, and a dry gin and Prosecco cocktail, were good. Would like to try this place for dinner as well - definitely recommend.

Favorite restaurant in Williamsburg! Great food, great drinks, brunch and dinner are both on point. Prices are reasonable although they have a well deserved Michelin star. Best burgers in Williamsburg by far. For dinner, duck breast is the way to go if it's on the menu. This place is a gem!
Be the first to ReplyI didn't know what to expect.
They have a Michelin star but the atmosphere is really casual - that set up cognitive dissonance in my mind. We made a reservation and they were ready for us when we arrived. They also let us know that they were very busy. I ordered a boozy mescal cocktail. It was a nice cocktail but ultimately not my taste. That was my fault. Olive bread to start was out of this world. I loved the crispy artichokes also. My main course was the scallops. My sons ordered the duck and the chicken roulade. All were very good. My sons also raved about the duck hearts on the menu but admittedly, I couldn't try one.For dessert, we tried everything. Panne cotta was simply the best. But everything paled in comparison to the service. Meadowsweet gets service right. Knowledgable, kind, and friendly service with pragmatic recommendations. I highly support this place.

My favorite restaurant in NYC (and if you know NYC, you know that it's one of the greatest cities for food in the world). This restaurant is one of those few places where I can confidently say that every single plate wow'd me. Every single bite, flavor, consistency and pairing is so well thought out and executed. My favorite plate of all time will be the cavatelli duck ragu with fresh ricotta. I would visit NY just for this plate. Not only is the food insane, but the service is also super attentive and even gave us two free rosé glasses because we were close to the door and felt the cold from outside (February in NY). All in all, 10/5 stars. Don't even doubt coming to this restaurant. Give them the Michelin star back!
Be the first to ReplyI love the bread and the appetizers that we ordered.
Unfortunately the mains we had were too salty. That was disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent restaurant in a cool part of Williamsburg.
Not far from the iconic Weylin, this chic yet approachable eatery has outstanding service and a unique menu. While it is still dry January, a peak the cocktails and the wine list already is reason enough to come back! My companion and I were impressed by the appetizer list, but went with mains as they looked incredible. I went with the Scottish salmon and my companion went with the roasted duck. The Scottish salon, done medium rare, was melt in your mouth delicious and perfectly crusted with flavor and texture. Absolutely stunning piece of fish atop a leek base. The roasted duck was going to be other option and it truly was an artfully done duck breast. Perfectly cooked medium rare atop a delectable mole sauce. Simply yum! I definitely want to return for some of those cocktails and for brunch!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is excellent.
The outdoor dining setup has 3 separated tables with an overhead heater, but the shed is open on one side, so not really appropriate for a cold winter day unless you bring a ton of clothing.
Be the first to ReplyOur food was absolutely delicious.
The presentation and service were both incredible as well. We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyHad dinner at Meadowsweet on Friday night.
A consistent meal with a well thought-out menu and friendly service.Quality: It is a high quality meal with a lot of good pieces, but one that lacks a true memorable item. The Olive Oil Rolls, Salmon Tartare, and Crispy Baby Artichokes are all worthy appetizers, but none would fall into must order for me. The Burrata & Delicata Squash is a fantastic melding of flavors, and should be prioritized. The Crisped Pork Belly Ham was the most disappointing item, the one I would skip in a return visit. The Tajarin & Truffle was good as was the Spiced Duck Breast, solid entree picks.Quantity: Not quite small plates, but the menu is primarily items to share.Value: $10 for Olive Oil Rolls. $18 for Salmon Tartare. $19 for Crispy Baby Artichokes. $18 for Burrata & Delicata Squash. $22 for the Crisped Pork Belly Ham. $26 for the Tajarin & Truffle. $38 for the Spiced Duck Breast.Ambiance: Meadowsweet is an upscale restaurant located in Williamsburg. It is in a little cove of highly regarded spots. They have a significant outdoor patio, then a surprisingly large indoor area. It is a narrow space with a bar towards the front. Tables are a bit tight, but the staff gracefully danced around them.Crowd: Reservations are needed, but can be booked a few nights in advance.Service: Friendly and accommodating staff.Parking: Relatively simple street parking nearby.

The ambiance at Meadowsweet is the perfect combination of rustic without feeling pretentious. I can tell the wait staff takes great pride in their work and the place was packed, which is always a good sign of a well-run establishment with recurring customers. The first dishes my group ordered were the Crispy Baby Artichokes and the Spanish Octopus and Chorizo. The artichokes are a must-have - a perfect combination of acid from the lemon and umami from the parmesan. This dish was a party in my mouth texturally and would recommend anyone order it. The octopus was outstanding - bright from the peppers and tasted rich without weighing you down. These were my two favorite dishes of the evening and would highly recommend both. For our main course, we ordered the Tajarin & Truffle pasta and the Braised Duck Ragu Pappardelle. The Tajarin & Truffles was very light and fragrant but the pasta was in my opinion, slightly over, and didn't have that chew we all crave when eating fresh pasta. The duck ragu was decadent in all the right ways - the pasta was coated evenly and the richness of the duck paired nicely with the pappardelle. Overall, my group had a wonderful experience, and am looking forward to going back and trying more of their items.
Be the first to ReplyFirst of all, food is dope.
Legitimately spot on. What keeps it from five stars were two things -- (1) It gets LOUD in here y'all. We had an early reservation on a weeknight so it was borderline empty when we got there, but filled up fast and got hard to hear. Not crazy, but noticeable. (2) The A/C was broken when we were there and it was the hottest fucking place I've ever been. Definitely felt for the staff, but they didn't really do anything to accommodate? No water, no fans, no offers to move outside or anything, but it was easily 100+ degrees in there by the time we left, and other patrons were turning around at the entrance because it was so hot. A one off to be sure (at least I hope so), but I was surprised they didn't make any effort at all to accommodate diners who were already there.
