Absolutely amazing! We didn't stay (we should have) we visited the restaurant 3 times in 6 days. I am a huge margaritaville and Jimmy Buffett van! Thanks to all the wonderful staff and fantastic food and drink. You never disappoint! Just got home to the UK this morning. I will be dreaming of margaritaville until I go to Orlando in December. It will be the first place I visit!
Be the first to ReplyHotel was beautiful.
We felt like we were on vacation in the Florida Keys. Loved how the room was decorated especially the cute whale tail faucets in the bathroom. Everything was spotless and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The young woman at the front desk even accompanied us to elevator. Would definately recommend.
Be the first to ReplyMargaritaville is hands down one of the best overnight
Margaritaville is hands down one of the best overnight options in NYC, especially near Times Square. This place opened just a few years ago and feels very new and clean. The beds are comfortable, and the pillows are soft and good. The rooms are NYC small, but it's not much smaller than any other place in the city. If you need a work station, you will need to plan to work in tight corridors. With that said, what really stands out about Margaritaville is the service. Near every personnel encountered is cheerful, kind, and helpful. Need a wake up call? No problem. Have questions? Responses with a smile. Have a room issue? Quickly handled and with care. One night, I had a medical emergency and the personnel that assisted me were so attentive and supportive. I was truly blown away how above and beyond they went. Some standouts whose names I caught included Breeana (I'm hopefully spelling this right) in security and Abhishek at the front desk. The one downside, which is not uncommon for NYC hotels, is that there are three elevators and 31 floors, and they can really slow down your entry/exit experience during certain rush hours. Around 5pm each evening, there is usually a line to wait for the elevators. Based on some difficulties during peak dinner times, I would recommend trying to stay on a lower floor. The views are beautiful, the rooms are clean and extremely quiet (you can hear limited muffled noise from the hall and that's it), and there are some fun amenities including access to a deck-side pool, a rooftop bar, and a fun restaurant with a giant Lady Liberty statue at the center. This Lady Liberty actually holds a (margarita) glass that provides a cool light/visual show periodically. Margaritaville provides a fun experience balanced with comfort, cleanliness, quiet, and excellent service - all while providing easy access to Times Square for those that want or need to stay nearby. Highly recommended for the area!

The food and the drinks were amazing and our attentive and hardworking server Jontae just made it better! Definitely coming back
Be the first to ReplyWe just had breakfast at the Margaritaville restaurant.
We had one of the best waiters we've ever had. Douglas was so kind, helpful with menu choices and super friendly. He genuinely cared about our experience at the restaurant. You could tell he loved his job and he is great with people. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. But Douglas is the person who made us walk away saying, this is a great place. If you eat there, be sure to ask for Douglas!

Clean and Bright! We are ex-New York Metro residents so we are hard to please. I was torn between a 4 or 5 star review but I have to with 4, especially in view of the last days of our trip. What we look for is clean, clean rooms so decor isn't of utmost importance. This resort is spotless and well-kept. The decor was not to our liking and seemed out of place in NYC. The decor is really kitschy and almost cartoon-like. But it is hard to find a hotel this clean with incredible service for this price in NYC. It is very convenient to all transportation and walking. It kind of pops up out of nowhere as you walk by. The staff was amazing and helpful, always saying hello and offering any needed assistance. My only issue was the elevator situation. There was one elevator out of service the last two days of our trip and another one (of three) was working intermittantly. This made for long, long waits even to the hotel check-in/restaurant area on the 7th floor. I think at one point one of the employees was in the working elevator, over-riding the system so that one would work, and getting it to the floors requested. The beds were comfortable and the TV was huge. The floor to ceiling windows made for a nice view of the street and surrounding area. There was a small cafe for coffee (though if you wanted, Paris Baguette was across the street and Angelina's and Best Bagel were a few blocks down). The shower was a bit wonky in that the water in the shower and sink just totally stopped inexplicably to start a second or two later and this happened at least 3 times. Not a big deal, just curious and wondering if it had to do with restroom use by the next door unit. The room was well-thought out for use with plenty of storage for clothes and cubbies for the luggage. Good sized bathroom, even though I am not a fan of new-style doorless showers. Overall an excellent experience and I would truly recommend this location for price/cleanliness and staff.
Be the first to ReplyIt was a good experience for me.
For the most part, the elevators weren't a problem. I had a room with two dbl. beds and so the room was very adequate, not too small at all. The bathroom was very large and comfortable. All was good.
Be the first to ReplyThere are a couple of positives about staying here.
It is with in walking distance to shopping, theaters etc. the staff unfortunately I found were extremely careless. It was not only the day shift but the night shift. The hotel room had unusually thin walls and I couldn't sleep well. There was constant chatter next door throughout the evenings. The pool was flooded with people who were not guests of the hotel. This hotel has potential but I can't recommend staying here if you expect any positive customer service.

I was warned not to stay here by my employees but decided to after reading positive reviews. The front desk couldn't find my reservation with the confirmation number that was emailed to me. They didn't seem to care either. The room was extremely tiny and felt like I was in a cruise ship. The food here was pretty average. They had good margaritas as well. I will not be returning due to the lack of professionalism. I hope the staff gets replaced by people who care about this hotel chain.

Possibly the cleanest NYC hotel I have stayed in! Staff was friendly. Whole room was on the smaller side, I did not mind having to store my life on the floor due to cleanliness. Little shop to get breakfast and coffee had a nice selection too.

Because of it's beautiful room , awesome view and cleanliness you would not be bothered by the small size of it . We have waited for 30 min to get our room ready but they are so kind and gracious to give us all welcome drinks and we even got upgraded.!!! They really know how to satisfy and pleased their customers! I highly recommended this place in Times Square I surely will stay again and recommend it to all my friends and families! 5 stars !!!
Be the first to ReplyRooms may be small but they look brand new.
The staff is welcoming and always greets you with "enjoy you're stay." Parking is across the street and margaritaville gives you a discount.
Be the first to ReplyStayed here Friday evening.
Absolutely clean and beautiful. Staff was fantastic. However, went to rooftop bar and there were originally 2 bartenders and about 12 guests. female blonde bartender walked by me several times no contact until I reached out to her. I told her the male had made me a drink and I'd like it again please it was something special he made - she assigned my order to him and she disappeared?? I ordered my drinks and 3-4 minutes after a group of 4 men ordered their drinks - they were served first ... I waited an additional 23 minutes for my drinks. 2 new bartenders arrive and greet me I told them my order once again and they went to the original bartender AGAIN to make my drinks ????? The woman next to me asked for her check from the same blonde bartender and waited 17 minutes before asking another bartender for her check- the blonde just kept disappearing. i am a bartender and the way this bar ran was beyond sloppy. The bar staff clearly needs help in greeting and serving the guests.
Be the first to ReplyIt was great to be in Times Square and it was nice to have
It was great to be in Times Square and it was nice to have several large, full service restaurants on site that were able to reasonably accommodate our large group. The food was good. The place was immaculate (except the base of Lady Liberty's margarita glass and some of the fake palm trees and tropical foliage) and the decor was warm and tropical - a great change from cold/semi-industrial styles in the city. But there were several things that detracted from turnover all experience ...First - it may look like a decent room rate but, incredibly, you have to pay a "Resort fee" which is laughable - what "resort"?? The pool??? That, along with all the taxes, added $100/ night. Just put that "resort fee" in the room rate.Next, the elevators were problematic. Difficult to work - they are dark and it isn't obvious every floor stop needs to swipe a card - we saw a party literally go up and down from ground floor to 6th (restaurant) several times because it wouldn't go above that without a key swipe and they didn't know to do it. It would take a long time to get one in which we could fit - one time we rode it up when it stopped at our floor just to be able to ride it back down. Also, you can't go to another floor without a room key from that floor - our family group had 4 rooms on different floors and we would have to meet on 7th (lobby) to be escorted to another family member's room/Floor. They should have an elevator pass key for families traveling together (maybe they do have such a thing - we didn't ask).Third - the bathrooms were problematic. There was little privacy because it had a sliding door with a gap and no fan (so it'd get foggy). The shower was open and if you want to use the angled shower spray rather than the rain/straight down shower (which I hate) you had to stand in front of the open section - it was cold and it'd let water splash all over the floor. The controls were on the opposite wall so not immediately reactive - switched between scalding and luke warm and, for some reason, mine shut off completely a couple times. You couldn't leave the bathroom to dry / style your hair because the room mirror wasn't near an outlet. A good thing was the towels - gave you lots of them and, even though they weren't soft (like they hung on a line to dry), they were large and heavy so one did the trick for body and hair. Fourth - the ground floor REEKED of pot - maybe that is universal throughout the city but it was overwhelming as soon as you stepped off the elevator. It was also very cold - this was a bitter cold weekend but double doors or a revolving door would help keep the cold out. Last - The room was quite small - the beds were doubles not queens, which are also short. Our adult child traveling with us stayed in a family member's room so we could each have a bed to ourselves and sleep diagonally

The good: - The views were incredible, so much so that I don't think a bad view is possible- The location is amazing. Exactly where you would want to be.- The hotel is newer, so it is pretty clean and doesn't need updating. Nothing is run down.- Nice room decor- It's quiet. We would hear people in the hallway, but nothing to where we were annoyed- The Margaritaville restaurant is right there and always fun.The bad:- The rooms are TINY. I know it's the city, but it felt like I was staying in a closet.- The prices compared to room size do not equate. I know the location is pricey, but I've stayed at other nearby with larger rooms at comparable rates.- The fees. It is crazy how you can get charged these "fees" for made up reasons. Be ready to pay over $50 a day in fees per night.

The resort is lovely however the Restaurants are terrible, we sat when we arrived as our room was not ready yet because the house keepers had not cleaned it yet, so we went to have lunch in Margaritaville and it took us over an hour to be served, we assumed it was just because it was busy ,This evening we ordered room service at 8:30 it is after 10:00 and we have not received it we have called several times and have failed to reach anyone who knows anything that can help us get our order to our room . We have been sent to answering machine , we have been hung up on , we have been told they don't know if our order is coming, all really bad customer service!! They need to step up their game the food is outrageously priced and the actual service is terrible.Had we known the room service was incapable we would have ordered DoorDash Very disappointing!
Be the first to ReplyA gem in Times Square.
Another review here noted that it felt like a Florida getaway in NYC and that is incredibly accurate. This place is pretty great. The staff is kind and attentive. The rooftop bar is excellent and above all else the room is comfy and CLEAN! Now, the room isn't terribly large. It's still New York. As a solo traveler though it was perfect. Great planned space in the room. Would stay here again and again

Love the roof top but beware drinks or EXPENSIVE definitely a place you just go to cause you staying in the hotel and don't wanna go outside or you're just looking for somewhere different. I also had some food and it was okay I would have to try the food again since I got there last minute so it was closing time but drinks are expensive but they hit !!!

I want to say it was less than ok but the location saves them. The room was so small it wasn't even worth it! And it's SUPPOSED to be a resort, but why!? To be able to charge an additional $50+ a day!? The fees were a true ripoff honestly...this is a NO for next time.

We love Gary our server!! My friend and I had such a great time! Great service, good energy, fun drinks!
Be the first to ReplyI stayed overnight because day passes were sold out.
I figured why not , I should've just stuck with day passes . A few things were not available due to private events . The restaurants are open to the public , which pushed wait time for food back an hour . The staff a polite , very unsanitary...wiping faces and scratching with bare hands is nasty . Also the pool closed early on the day I specifically booked for , it stated for a private event . This wasn't mentioned upon booking or checking in. I will not be returning, it was cool for what it was but I'd rather not.
Be the first to ReplyI would give this a higher rating but the elevator
I would give this a higher rating but the elevator situation overshadows everything here. Rooms are clean, food is mediocre, service seems kind of forced and not natural. But waiting 30 minutes for an elevator? It's unreal and impractical. The hotel prioritizes access to the rooftop bar (which is great) over the elevator use for actual guests when they block off one of the elevators as an "express" elevator. This causes massive delays for anyone unwilling or unable to take the stairs. Until this is fixed, I wouldn't stay here - it's that bad.
Be the first to ReplyI do not recommend this hotel stay in New York.
The pool size is narrow so it becomes very crowded with just a few people. The rooms were also very small and the elevator service was terrible. Sometimes it took about 10 min to finally get on an elevator because there's only 2 working ones in the lobby. For the price it costs, i recommend staying at another hotel. Isn't worth the price.
Be the first to ReplyMy daughter and I stayed at this resort last week and it
My daughter and I stayed at this resort last week and it was awesome. We loved everything about it. The location was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The resort was clean. The room was beautiful with a great view of the city. We had a great afternoon at the pool. We ate poolside and also had room service during our stay and enjoyed both. The only negative thing I could say about the property is that it's hard to get an elevator during certain times of day. We were warned that the elevators run on island time at check-in so we knew to expect it and it wasn't a big deal to us but there were people grumbling about it. I would recommend Margaritaville and will definitely be back.

The place is fancy but man do they do the bare minimum for the room. Hard bed to sleep on, an a/c that turns off randomly in the middle of the night to leave you baking in NY heat, and a bathroom with no ridges for the shower - I asked for a bathroom not a wading pool. The entire bathroom becomes a puddle, and the curtain fell down with a towel on it because it's that crappy extending pole model, not an actual installation. At least the drinks were strong...
