I recently visited with a friend, and we decided to do it
I recently visited with a friend, and we decided to do it big with dinner and ordered several things. The good note is the portions generally are quite sizable, so, even though they market it as tapas, or sharing style, you can get away with getting three items or so for two people. We started off with the biscuits, then did the gnocchi and scallops, and also ordered the fried chicken and the mussels. The biscuits were very good, and the butter on the side is absolutely divine, but I do think the biscuits were a bit greasy. The gnocchi was quite filling actually and you do get a lot of it. The flavor was of great and rich. The scallops were my favorite, it is a light dish since you only get three scallops, but it stole the show for me, it was cooked perfectly. The fried chicken was a bit of a miss for me. The chicken itself didn't really have that much flavor and was a bit bland but the crust was pretty good. The coleslaw that it comes with was nothing special. The mussels and rice were very tasty, but at this point of the dinner, we were stuffed beyond belief and couldn't even finish it. I would definitely return and was really happy with my experience.

Food is excellent, obviously a little expensive but very much worth it for the quality. I'm usually a little.jaded by the American "(new)" restaurants but MB post has some unique and delicious takes on dishes. The chef has a very good understanding of Asian ingredients and cooking methods especially, and does a good job of fusing that with American dishes/ingredients. The service here is amazing and they are very attentive. For instance they replaced our water carafe pretty much immediately after it ran out. Once our dishes changed drastically in flavors, they replaced our plates and silverware without us asking. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

The food is always great and the staff is always attentive and helpful. And when I walk into the restaurant and Sandro is working, I know the service will be above and beyond. He is super attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
Be the first to ReplyI love the bacon cheddar and lamb belly here.
There is a fun vibe and communal sitting here. It's fun to come with a group of friends!
Be the first to Reply0/5 for hygiene My table smelled like a urinal.
To make it even better, the guy sitting next to my table wasn't wearing shoes. I wasn't going to sniff further to figure out the source of the smell. So, I simply asked for a different table. I did tell them that the table smelled unpleasant but there was no "sorry" or investigation. The lady with the tablet seemed busy and annoyed. It's sunday brunch time so I kinda get it but the vibe was already off. I sat down at a different table where the seat had crumbles all over. Well, the server was nice, and the food was good. So, I tried to forget about the pungent smell and focus on my weekend at the beach. I went to the bathroom, left my bag and a wallet on the little console in the bathroom to take out my tampon because there was no hanger on the door, and guess what? When I picked up my bag and my wallet was covered in a sticky liquid! I'm not talking about the space next to sink. This furniture for some reason was covered with sticky liquid. Every time I tried to wipe it off from my bag with a wet paper towel, white suds appeared and just spread even more. So I'm in the bathroom panicking and wiping off whatever the f that was on my lambskin wallet and a leather bag, and ask myself, "What's wrong with this restaurant and wtf fr?" I went back out and went to sniff the table I was originally seated(no one was near it anymore). It was the chair. It smelled like SF! Someone has def pissed on the chair. It was so pungent that I could smell it on the sofa side as well. I didn't want to pay the tip but our nice server had nothing to do with it. So, I notified the manager about the piss chair and their bag ruining bathroom furniture situation. He said sorry but he wasn't sorry. He just stood there still. So, I told him that he should smell the chair and he did. He said, it doesn't smell like anything but he might have gotten used to it. Idk. Maybe he lives near a potter potty. He said he'll remove the chair. I wasn't expecting something as a result for telling them about it but a genuine apology or a pretending to fix the situation would've helped. My bf stopped me from going into a bathroom and getting evidence. He said there was no point in arguing and that I should just leave them a review instead. So here I am after a ruined sunday with a pair of pants to dryclean and bags covered with suds. Never going back again. Hope you maintain your premises a little better.

The Manhattan Beach Post is such a fine eatery, and a really upbeat environment! Their bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits are superb, and a fine way to begin a dining experience.

I had a 6 hour layover in LA and planned to see the sunset at Manhattan Beach. My oh my, what a gem! Great seasonal choices with full flavor. You can't make wrong choices, only not enough room in belly. The gentleman attended me was great. If you are just like me, had some free time in LA, grab a drink and get a bite here. It's an unforgettable experience.

Had not been to MB Post in years and was glad we came for a dinner on a busy Satruday night. Service was outstanding and food was very good to excellent. Stand outs were the mussels in green curry, green beans and scallops with peas.

Be the first to ReplyRecommend having a reservation.
One of my top suggestions for dinner in MB. The decor is perfection, it's homey and comfortable but has a unique personality that we love. The pork spinach spaghetti is my death row meal. If you go for brunch you have to get the banana bread. Steven was an awesome server, super attentive and friendly.

Service was slightly slow (which was expected of a place that's as popular as this place is). I thought the food was pretty good (though I admit it wouldn't go out of my way again to visit the place).

Typical Manhattan Beach, mediocre at best, overpriced place!! Nice atmosphere- great waiter- but food- meh and prices are steep.
Be the first to ReplyHad an amazing brunch.
Kids loved the french toast and breakfast sandwich. Delicious bacon and banana bread. The steak and eggs with broccolini were top notch. Our server could not have been nicer. Fun atmosphere as well.
Be the first to ReplyFound this place on Yelp and it was great.
The inside had nice decor and had very chill vibes. The service was amazing and the bartender made great mystery drinks. The skirt steak was yummy and the breakfast sandwich did the job. I would recommend coming here for a nice bite and having a drink.

The service was quick and the food was delicious!!! Def recommend! We ate inside which was nice and super cute since it was cooler weather so the outdoor seating wasn't available.

My only regret this far is how many times will I have to go check on my parking meter! Our server is Jerad and he's pretty good considering that he's not drinking alcohol we lost a whole drink. BUT they cleaned it up immediately! Thanks that's a plus. Well I've had my appetizers and waiting for my meal and......waiting. Food!!!!! Yeah!!Food was fairly good and the ambiance is decent. A little loud but it's near the beach and it's nice.Check it out!

The food was just so amazing, we took all recommendations from the waiter and everything was just perfect. Highly recommend. It is a tapas style restaurant
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great time catching up with friends here.
The ambiance is trendy but you can still hear each other. We ordered family style and had the biscuits, scalloped potatoes, fried chicken, steak, and lamp. The fried chicken was a little dry but the rest was perfect! My old fashioned was delicious as well. Our server was very nice too!

Drink prices are way to high but the service is usually excellent and the biscuits rock. Everything on the menu is worth a try. If you have visitors in town, it has a good fun ambiance.

Food:5 starsService:5 starsThe Seared Diver Scallops is a must try. The scallops melt in your mouth and the cumin flavor hit right on the spot. Love it! The Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits with maple butter is also a must try. So delicious! The Blistering Green Beans is a large portion and you will feel good about yourself ordering it. They have a very healthy way to serve the veggie dish. They serve sparkling water as an option feels like home. Will definitely come back.
