🤮 1/5 - Check on what you're actually being charged for the food

Check on what you're actually being charged for the food you order from here. There are some genuinely sneaky fees and unadvertised prices when you order from this place. Their actual prices are more than what they advertise online - during my most recent phone order they tried to explain it by saying that the cost of food can vary. They advertise that their garlic beef is $11.95 but when I ordered it I was told that it was $15.19. I asked why it was a different price and I was told that market prices can be variable. He was very specific that it was NOT the tax. That would be additional. Then I was told that if I wanted that online price I should order online but that there would be a delivery fee-because people don't tip. I said that was fine. I asked if that meant that the tip was included. He said I could still tip if I wanted to. Fine. I said I'd just order the garlic beef at the quoted price of $15.19 and I was told that they couldn't deliver just that. I asked what their minimum for delivery was and he said it was $15. When I pointed out that he told my meal was actually $15.19 he talked himself in circles about something I couldn't even understand so I ended up canceling my order because I'd had enough at that point. I've been eating here since they opened but this shady price thing has been going on for a while and this was the last straw for me. The food is good but the service is sketchy at best.If this sounds disjointed and surreal that's because the whole phone call was exactly that - disjointed, nonsensical, and surreal. This place is absolutely NOT on the up-and-up. There's something fishy going on at Man Wah.
