Our experience
- the photos on the internet do not really correspond to reality - free parking nearby is a plus - room was not super clean - beautifully situated on the water - Breakfast was okay, the salads were not well prepared - there was a VIP pass for Mm village provided with a flair voucher, but not received
Be the first to ReplyNice view, poor room experience
The room was not very clean and the shower drain was clogged, which meant that the shower tray was in danger of flooding very quickly. In addition, we were told that our 2 single beds would be connected, which did not happen. However, the employees are very friendly and the view (room with a pond view) is magnificent!
Be the first to ReplyOverall ok exempt receptionist
Overall ok. Staff is very nice except for the one receptionist at check in, she was not pleasant and not very welcoming. Hardly did eye contact, barely welcomed us and clearly didn’t want to be there. Well situated hotel, clean, nice bar, nice restaurant.

Nice room, lots of space. Everything was neat upon arrival. Friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. Possibility to place the bicycles in the basement. Possibility to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant in the hotel. Possibility to park for free within walking distance.

Nice and comfortable room. The breakfast buffet was also superb. Good location, close to Molenvijverpark and shopping centers. Good base for a visit to Maasmechelen Village and Bokrijk. Online check-in and check-out is possible, which is useful during busier periods.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is very friendly. The restaurant was very tasty. The only regret was that the rolls were not baked enough and were therefore flat instead of crispy and felt like a lump on the stomach. The rest of the breakfast had plenty of choice.

What a beautiful hotel! Very nice location on the mill pond and close to the center. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff is great, very friendly and great service. Started the morning with a delicious breakfast buffet with a view of the pond. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, we had a super tasty meal there. We went home rested and happy and will definitely come back!

Dinner was not tasty. Ordered shrimp croquettes as a starter. They were still frozen in the middle. I just left them. Main menu: Grilled sea bass with croquettes. Nothing to complain about on the fish. It was super tasty. Croquettes were cold again. My husband's fries were also cold Breakfast 3 coffee machines, 1 of which only worked half way, many people complained There was cava but no glasses!!
Be the first to ReplyFriendly staff, room could use some freshening up
Pretty good in itself. The room was very warm upon arrival and difficult to cool down. Could use a refresher. A reasonably high bath in which you can shower. Perhaps difficult for people with reduced mobility. The breakfast was very good and the staff is very friendly. The area is very beautiful with a view of the pond.

We made a booking for the Eburon Hotel and we specified that we wanted a king bed. When we arrived there on Saturday afternoon, we saw that the room they gave us only had two single beds which were quite small. When we told the reception that we were given the wrong room, the receptionist told us that they had made a mistake and that all rooms with king beds had already been checked in. She didn't offer any alternatives. We asked to speak with the manager who also had no alternatives to offer. My husband then asked if they had any other hotel from the same group nearby where they could get us a double bed and if was only then that they went and looked for one. They sent us to the M Hotel in Genk, which was half and hour from Tongeren, which meant we had to change our holiday plans. When we arrived at the room at the M Hotel, we realised, to our dismay, that they did not have a king bed but instead two single beds with a double (thin) mattress on top. During the night the beds came apart forming a hole in the middle and both my husband and I woke up with sore backs. The positive things about the M Hotel was the staff, who were very friendly and empathetic (contrasting with the Eburon) and the nice breakfast which, in the end, they offered to us as a good gesture (together with a bottle of bubbles) after we explained about our very bad night sleep. It is incredible that a 4 start hotel cannot provide a proper king bed!
Be the first to ReplyM Hotel, not recommended
At check in, staff upgraded the room (and so payment) without any explanation and only told when asked why I am paying higher price, anyhow I paid with no problem. Room cleaning service never happened for 3 nights although sign displayed. The only good point of breakfast is the lake view, otherwise it's not worth the money. At checkout, there was extra money to be paid and when asked what is that, I was told sorry it was added by other staff and deleted now. I suppose I would have paid that extra €138 if not asked for explanation! Asked to get invoice for the payment and advised to be emailed the same but never happened Overall, I definitely won't come nearby again

My wife booked an overnight with dinner for Valentine’s Day. During check-in we were offered a complimentary glass of, unfortunately, cheap bubbly. The keycard cover showed our room had been changed, as the previous number was just crossed out and the new number written beside it. We went up to the room and although it was located on the same floor as the previously allocated room, this one did not enjoy the view of the lake. Nor the peace and quiet. Instead the room gave out to the opposite side, a shopping center and a very busy road. The room was hot, A/C didn’t seem to be present or working, so we resorted to opening the window, resulting in a lot of noise from traffic. The room seemed to be adequate in comfort, but soul-less in decoration, and tired. Two small plastic bottles of mineral water in the minibar/fridge. No bathrobes, no slippers. Basic bathroom, separate toilet. The floor of the room was quite dusty, we noticed when walking around barefoot. We went for dinner and all the tables of the restaurant were laid out with valentine’s decorations. And unfortunately only the 4 course set menu, with choice of meat or fish as main, was available. The dinner started of well, but as the place started to fill up, service slowed down increasingly. To the point where we ended up leaving when dessert failed to show up after waiting quite some time. The overnight, well no need to explain that noise, dust and stuffiness were not the recipe we had hoped for. Breakfast was quite OK with a good and tasty variety.
Be the first to ReplyVery basic and not recommended for a longer break than 1 night
We booked a comfort room but asked airco. There are no rooms with airco in the hotel so they upgraded our room to a superior + room. However this was just a mobile airco and was too hard to install. We also could not put down the heating so the entire night there was a frustrating zooming noise. Beds were soft, pillows too soft. shower was nice. Further, the food in the restaurant was good but the service poor (starter was served before the drinks and bites were served). Finally the breakfast was nice. Overall it is good for 1 night if you don’t mind the noise at night. Fyi: we had room 408.
Be the first to ReplyLovely hotel but poor service and hot unventilated rooms
Lovely hotel in great location next to a lake and a shopping centre. Modern and trendy with spacious room, comfy bed and modern bathroom. Good selection of buffet breakfast but extra 20 euro per person is steep. I visited during warm summer days up to 27c and the room was far too hot. There is no air con and ventilation was limited through one small opening window. A fan was provided making sleep posible. Hotel reception staff are young and inexperienced and have limited customer service skills. On check out I was not offered the choice to pay in Euros with my credit card - only uk pounds at a poor exchange rate plus commission. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I had to waste 20 minutes finding an ATM to pay cash. CASH in 2022! On top of all that there is a bar next to the lake with sound system and speakers facing the hotel playing loud music much of the day so rooms facing the lake are best avoided. You can close the window and reduce the noise but will lose what little ventilation you had. I’m sure there are better hotels nearby for summer stays. I guess winter would be ok unless the the rooms are overheated…
