Will return!
We had a fantastic dinner here! The drinks, food, service and ambiance were all perfect. Could have done without the EDM music, but I guess that’s the vibe.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible experience, arrogant host
Lots of hype, but just not worth it. As previous reviews have noted, just getting a reservation is a feat, and after 54 calls I secured a reservation for myself and my two daughters for a very special occasion to celebrate. I did request a window seat and was told it could not be guaranteed, which I understood. When we arrived a perfect window seat was open and I asked the host if we could sit at that table, I was told no, it was reserved for a VIP requested by the Owner. I asked if we could have the table if they did not arrive and the host said yes. We were then seated on the patio outside of the main dining area. The table I politely requested sat open for 45 minutes and the second window seat next to it opened just after we sat down and also sat open for over an hour and a half. The host refused to seat us at either window table, even while they sat open during the entirety of our dinner. The service was very slow, the food was average as far as sushi goes, and the overall experience was terrible. Previous reviews have mentioned the arrogance of the host, and I have to concur. He could have easily sat us at either of the window tables, it would have meant the world to my daughters, and I, but he did not. It is truly the opposite of customer service. We have dined at many exceptional restaurants in Nantucket, including the SeaGrille, The Chanticleer and Cru. Honestly, the service at the Brotherhood of Thieves where we dined casually the evening before was exceptional compared to Lola41.

Delicious food and drinks, solid waitstaff. Ribs were very good (not fall-off-the-bone like we remember), delicious burger and delicious sashimi and drinks. We will return for sure. Wish Lola Burger was still on Nantucket!

We celebrated our honeymoon on Nantucket and Lola 41 was certainly a highlight from our trip! Evan, our server, was wonderful and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. We ate here on our last night and we couldn't decide between two restaurants... so we had our "1st" dinner here! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and sushi rolls including their Waygu Carpaccio, their Chicken Lettuce Cups, the Tuna Tatami, their nightly special Surf & Turf Roll, and the Anata, Maruko, and Aphrodite rolls. Drinks were incredible, and it was so entertaining to watch their bartender! He had a vibrant personality and it was awesome watching him work their busy bar! We would suggest making a reservation as their restaurant has limited seating. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyGood food but resevation system is poor
When you have a good restaurant, you can make it hard to get a reservation. The hoops you have to jump through to get a reservation here makes it not worth the effort. If you want to jump, this is a great place . There are other great restaurants on ACK but not too many open in the off season.

Lola 41 offers a mostly Asian/Sushi contemporary menu for diners and a lively bar for singles and mingles! We are of the a little bit older crowd so we were dining in the outdoor tent, but could hear the beat of the music and did not mind it. We even saw some of the waitresses doing a little dance at their station in the tent! We shared a few sushi dishes plus a seaweed salad and a shrimp tempura dish and all were delicious; we can see why it was so tough to get a reservation! Nantucket has many dining offerings, if you want a well put together meal offering Lola 41 is certainly a place to visit and do so.

We've done carry out from here a few times in the past 2 years. You have to log on early (usually by 10:00 a.m.) to order carry out for a decent time (7:30 pick up or earlier). Sushi and sashimi are very good or excellent. Ribs and mac & cheese are excellent. Bolognese is very good. Fried rice and noodles were just okay. Would definitely go there in person or order carry out again.

We called 138 times to get a reservation here from 4pm onwards and got a table at 945, luckily. Expectations were high. These guys are a victim of their own success - we found service to be arrogant and food to be very disappointing. We ordered 6 dishes here: Shrimp tempura - the only good dish we had Salmon Carpaccio with shaved truffle - not worth $5, let alone the $50 they charge for it. Shaved truffle imparts no flavor and the ginger vinaigrette had no flavor ASAHI (A-SA-HEE) - tasteless sushi roll ANATA (A-NA-TA) - half decent sushi roll, nothing to write home about Toro Nigiri - supposed to be their freshest and most expensive nigiri - too much rice, overcooked rice, fish didn't taste fresh LOBSTER FRIED RICE - awful - flavor overpowered by coriander and overall tasteless If you like good food, do not visit. Victim of their own success. We are regular sushi eaters from California, and a low level CA sushi restaurant does a better job. I don't care about the price to quality ratio, the quality isn't worth it period. They also aren't open to feedback as they are back to back full. Tried to give waiter feedback about the sushi and all he said was "I'll take it off the bill" - I don't mind paying for it but it's clear they don't care about feedback and it's a money pit. Don't fall for the trap.
