Such a beautiful spot to visit and take pictures.
Great to also just sit and relax and have a quick bite

Definitely the latest best public park attraction in NYC! I've been a couple times and it is very nice in the summer. I would love to watch a performance here also.

What a great addition to NYC, I mean they really ADDED space. We strolled there after dinner at Chelsea Market. (Walking around here would make an EXCELLENT first date spot!). We lucked out and happened upon a musical rehearsal of an upcoming jazz show. With the water and the boats in he background this place is truly magical. If I lived in NYC I would subscribe to the shows -- which I believe are pretty reasonable at about $25/ticket. We then hiked the whole island and took some great photos. There are a bunch of stairs to get to the top, but it is still pretty if you are not in the shape to do the whole island.
Be the first to ReplyIt's a cute place to walk with friends.
The island architecture is quite unique. You can also walk on it too and the garden is really pretty to walk through.
Be the first to ReplyWow The city has gotten more amazing once 2024 came around.
This little Island is a little island off of the island of Manhattan surrounded by water on 14th street west Side Highway next to Pier 57 which has things like a public rooftop park, food hall, winery, and community spaces. Directly across it is the highline, there's Chelsea Market, and all the great places in the fun meat packing district. Lots of art galleries and designer stores and an indoor golf Puttery. The little island is endless with exotic flowers and greens and water views and places to sit and chat on the grass or tables to play chess on. There's an amphitheater also. And there are free public bathrooms! Something nyc doesn't do well but there's one here... it's not easily accessible for those in wheelchairs but you can go up paths to see views... but for those who can walk it's easier and it can be a quick and fun hiking experience going up and down stairs and running up to beautiful points to take pics and take in the much air.
Be the first to ReplyCute place with a really nice view of downtown and NJ.
Market 57 and city winery are right next door and make for a fun date night. In the summer the host concerts ($25 a ticket). We came during a week night and it wasn't too crowded. They had rehearsals for one of the shows so it was nice. There's activities for kids along the way as well.

Gorgeous island right next to the high line! It's about a 5 minute walk and well worth the visit. I went there when they were having rehearsals for their musicals/shows throughout over the next few months. Their shows are only $25/person! Will definitely come back to see their fine-tuned performance! Mix of dancing with jazz music.

Such a gorgeous waterfront park! Perfect way to spend a day exploring Manhattan with the Chelsea Market, Pier 54, The High Line, Starbucks Reserve, and Little Island all be within walking distance (from each other. Little Island is very much a modern contemporary park, that hosts a windy trail leading to a lookout point, a small amphitheater, and little playground area. Very well kept and many pretty flowers in bloom. If you want to skip the crowdedness, try visiting on a rainy day midweek so you can enjoy most of the park with unobstructed views.

Had 24 hours in the city, and boom! Little Island looked like a place out of the chronicles of Narnia. This amazing architectural landscape felt like visiting a place far far away *in my Shrek voice*. I loved it! Perfect date, family or just solo spot. Right off the Hudson River, with gorgeous views of the city skyline. Bring a blanket to kick back or take a stroll around the levels of the park. Whether spring, summer, or fall, it's a definite seasonal hotspot.
Be the first to ReplyTHIS PARK IS SO ADORABLE.
It's definitely very artificial feeling, but like this is nyc so duh, it fits the vibe. You get a really great view of the skyline and it's a really nice walk around the island. Some stairs and inclines to get to the top viewpoint. I really enjoy looking out at the water. I just kind of stood here and stared for a while and it was so relaxing. On a gloomy day, if you put on some sad olivia rodrigo music and walk along here, you'll definitely feel it.
Be the first to ReplyCute small oasis in the city.
Has amphitheater facing the water and trails to walk on. It would be beautiful on a sunny warm day.

The third-best park in Manhattan is not a must-see, but I would ask everyone in the area to make it part of their day trip when visiting Pier 54, the Whitney, High Line, Chelsea Market, and Starbucks Reserve, all within 800 feet. Barry Diller spent $280 million on this park. I appreciate having a beautiful, free park, but next time, don't get the guy who spent 1.9 billion on Ask Jeeves to be in charge of the budget. Basically, the 2.3 acre artificial island is a nice walk, with winding paths going uphill with seasonally changing, contrasting gardens (350 different species of flora), congregation areas, a small stage, lawns (2 small, 1 main), the 687 seat "Amph" amphitheater (the investors made sure 51% of ticketed events were under $30), observation points, a "secret garden" (all white flora), and art fixtures, including the Glockenspiel Sound Board, which plays six flat notes when stepped on. Think the piano from "Big"... blowing a booger out its nose.

Beautiful refuge of an island off an island! Meandering pathways let you wander amid the greenery and lead you to special spots as a treat.

Very beautiful park shaped like an island!! Lots of colorful tree's throughout! There are different pockets of the park too. Vendors were selling food and drinks! Sat at an amphitheater to cool down, and had a lovely view of the ocean!! Could see New Jersey too! It was very busy when we went; but there were still lots of spaces to sit and enjoy the park! It 's also free!! Would highly recommend for everyone of all ages
Be the first to ReplyThis is a magical place in the evening.
Absolutely must visit this free gem in the city that never sleeps. I am guessing it is gorgeous year round. I don't know how busy it gets during the shows, but it was very peaceful when I went there and the guided tour was a cherry on top.

This is a wonderful park! I love all of the interactive play spaces. It's very clean as well. You can see a great view of the city from the top of the hill. This would be an awesome space in the spring and summer! I would return!
Be the first to Replythis was an area of the city.
I have never visited previous to my most recent trip to New York. It is yet another cool area. I am particularly intrigued by the show calendar I saw. I would love for a future visit to coincide with an event there, as I think it must be a really special place to see a show.

I heard about this man made island in NYC and wasn't sure what to expect. So I did the only thing that a curious tourist could, come investigate. It's a really cool addition to the area. It's not that large but has a few things on it. There's a walking path that leads to a few view points to take pics in and around the river. There's also a area that looks like it's made to put on plays in the park. Outside of that there was an area with some seating and a food truck. If you came by to chill, this isn't like the other parks in town as seating seems limited but it's a cool drop in and out until you hit up other sights in the area.

Nice place to spend your time! It's little (as it says in it's title;)) but it has many attractions, nice views of the city and many events!
Be the first to ReplyNice spot in the city for a walk or sit or picnic.
Honestly not that big and can get crowded. The top and amphitheater area are nice to sit at and look over the water.

The Little Island- you know, kinda like Venice built on stilts, but this one on the Hudson River. Such a unique garden conceived by Diane von Furstenberg and husband Barry Diller. In fact the design reminds me of her stiletto heels. The public park contains little play areas, a large amphitheater and the walking paths offer beautiful vistas of lower Manhattan. It really is just an interesting Little Island.

Tourist spot overlooking the water fun for the family alongside the Hudson River and go right into Meatpacking to explore food drinks shopping.

this is cute if you're in the area by Chelsea market and want a nice place to walk around! It was very crowded when we went, however. Especially when you got to the top with the better view there is a lot more people up there. It is kind of small. It is nice to check out once but I don't think that I would return. There was nothing too special about the place, except for its unique design. With the crowds, and it's smaller than expected size it was an OK experience.

It was a cool experience checking out this newly built little island. We were walking and stumbled upon this place. They had some cool interactive things to play with and the views were great
Be the first to ReplyWe visited the little island in June.
It was a fun thing to do in New York! It was a little crowded during a Saturday so that is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars.
