L'Industrie Pizzeria Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year

The story: Our last lunch in Brooklyn before ending our trip. We had tried several famous NYC pizza stops at this point and heard nothing but excellent reviews about L'Industrie so of course it ended up on the pizza tour. The experience: We arrived just before the doors open and for good reason. It didn't take long for the line to grow and wrap the corner. Thankfully we were about tenth in line and was served fresh warm pizza once it was our turn. This also allowed us to grab a seat under the awning before it was completely filled. On the menu: We ordered the popular burrata slice, mikes hot honey, traditional pepperoni - and of course the viral pistachio gelato with olive oil and sea salt to top off the experience. No sitting room inside as it's really small, but it wasn't a deterrent for us. The service: The service was quick and helpful. The man who stood outside upon opening the doors (I assume he was the manager or owner) was very welcoming. Overall impression: Thought this was one of the best NYC style pizza shops we tried. I am a sucker for a good gelato option which they have nailed. Also loved the NYC take with an Italian flare that this establishment brings.
Best pizza period.
Worth waiting on the long line! Will definitely go back when I'm in the neighborhood.
Amazing pizza and desserts! Staff is very friendly too.
I would go there everyday of I could

Finally tried the infamous L'industrie! We ordered with no line but it took about 20 minutes for our pizzas to be ready. We got the Fig Jam & Bacon and the Sausage & Pesto to share. The slices came out piping hot and the crusts were thin and crispy. Both pizzas were delicious and absolute flavor bomb but with red pepper sprinkled on top, it was even better. I know this place has a lot of hype but they bring unique flavors to the traditional slice and it's a must try when you're in NY. We really wanted to try the sandwiches but we didn't have room for that. I hope we can come back soon to give the rest of the menu a try.

I did not have any pizza but needed to comment on the gelato we got after dinner elsewhere. It was the pistachio gelato...and omg, can I tell you how much I crave this as I'm writing. Sooo good, there's some oil in there that adds to it. It's sooooooo good, I have no other words. I do wish there was some type of cone or cone bits to add to it for some additional texture but highly recommend. Will come back for some pizza slices and review accordingly!
I've now had L'Industrie (Brooklyn) on two occasions.
On both occasions, I got slices and ate there. I waited in line, but neither wait time was excruciating. But I'd wait in an hour-long line--in the snow, sleet, and hail--for any opportunity to experience the fantastic voyage of flavor that is L'industrie. Let me get straight to the point: L'industrie has the best pizza by the slice I've ever had, full stop. No, I'm not exaggerating. Now, I'm merely a lifelong pizza fiend, not a food critic, not a pizzaiola. But pizza = life for me. And after 2 trips, I've comfortably come to this emphatic conclusion. On both trips I had the burrata pizza. That burrata is cool, creamy magic. On both trips I had the fig and bacon pizza. Not something you're going to at your most pizza spots. Sweet, salty, bacon-y brilliance. And on trip 1 I had the pepperoni and this time the spicy salami--both toppings were savory, piquant delights. And topping off all of the pizza with fresh basil is truly
One of the best slices of pizza I've ever had - coming from
One of the best slices of pizza I've ever had - coming from a fellow New Yorker! Brought my family along and we went to town on multiple slices. You won't be sorry. The classic is amazing, but I recommend the Fig or the New Yorker slice with Hot Honey! The line is always long so be prepared to wait! Best to go when the weather is good! Not much seating, but worth it to walk home with a slice!
What a flavor explosion! Was quite a wait but so worth it!
What a flavor explosion! Was quite a wait but so worth it! I had classic margherita because I'm old school like that!
Absolutely not worth the hype
It's not worth the hype in the slightest. Long queues to find yourself with a slice of pizza not too dissimilar to that of our kebab shops. The bread dough isn't too bad. In any case it makes no sense to go there, especially if you are Italian. Let the Americans stand in line.
This is hands down the best pizza I've ever had in my life!
This is hands down the best pizza I've ever had in my life! It was so good I was full and went back for seconds!(which is something I don't recommend) first of all the spices the flavors the crunchiness from the crust the whole experience was leaving my mouth watering! We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the burrata pizza, they were both so flavorful. I would recommend anyone who is a pizza lover to try this place out. Just know you have to know what you want to order beforehand using the menu from Outside because they don't have a menu inside.
The perfect NY slice, elevated.
We had a special, which included freshly made pesto and sausage. We also had a slice of the margherita with ricotta. I think the most perfect part of their pizza is the crust- just the right thickness, not too doughy but not too thin, crispy on the bottom and baked just right. The tomato sauce was flavorful and proportionate as were the toppings. I wasn't even hungry when we went but it was so good I finished most of my slices!
This pizza place is worth the attention it's getting.
We ordered the burrate and vegetarian pizza slices and they were delicious! They put fresh basil on it also. I am not going to lie it is expensive but it is worth the splurge. I love the unique flavors. Best to come on a Monday night when there are no long lines. Definitely coming back for the Fig and bacon along with the New Yorker slice.
Delicious burrata slice
Delicious burrata slice! Thin and crispy with smooth cheese and a lovely texture to the slice. Would definitely go again. Was a queue but it goes quickly
Half the menu is 5/5, the other half 3/5
Everyone in New York has heard of L'Industrie pizza and there is always a giant line outside that place. My husband and I decided to try it last weekend and we ordered 5 different slices. The burrata slice was magical, 5/5, but the white slice was very underwhelming and lacked flavor. My husband felt similarly about his slices: he LOVED the Fig Jam & Bacon slice, but his other 2 slices were just ok. Given that it felt like half their menu was great and the other half underwhelming, I just couldn't give it the 5 stars. Don't be intimidated by the line - it moves quick and the pizza comes out fast once you order.
Best pizza I've ever had-- be sure to get the hot honey on it
Just a slice of cheese was probably the best pizza I've ever had. We had it with hot honey which was awesome, but the crust was what set it above all others. And the sauce. And the basil and other spices. The whole thing was outstanding, even though we ended up eating standing up in the cold because it was so popular!
Very delicious pizza
Very tasty pizza, exceptional slice size. Warm space in front to eat. Super attentive attendant.
Great Pizza!!
It's chaotic and loud, it's crowded and it's expensive. It's also the best pizza I've had in NYC! I grew up on New Haven CT Apizza and always lament the fact that the same pizza taste simply cannot be found outside that area. Although Le Industrie is not exactly NH style, the sauce/crust/cheese combination is awesome enough to make me stop making any comparisons. The crust has perfect char and chewiness without being too thick. The sauce is sweet and minimal so as not to take over the pie. The toppings are just a bonus. We sampled all varieties via slices (which were super fresh thanks to the fact that new pies are coming out of the oven so frequently). We also sampled a whole simple margherita pie. On all counts, this is Uber tasty pizza. It can be a challenge to get enough elbow room to enjoy your pizza though, this is a small shop. Also be prepared to spend a bit more than average or even higher end places. None of that will matter once you start eating though.....
yum pizza
line to the end of the building, moves fast. burrata pizze good, pepporini good. seating at tables, on street, covered. good ingredients.
Isn't worth the wait
Pizza has become a big part of my life. I've eaten a lot of slices. The line to this place does not move fast. When you do get the slice there's multiple things I think that don't make it worth it. The crust was overcooked. The undercarriage? Perfect. No flop. But the actual crust was burnt. Some people are into that but I don't like my last bite to be eating something charred or blackened. The cheese to sauce ratio was good. But the sauce was nothing special. I love a good bianco di Napoli sauce yet I fell like all they do is slap down the sauce and do nothing with it. The slices we had in particular were sour and acidic. No salt. Love or extra adornment. Their cheese also did not stand out. If it wasn't for the burrata I would not have been able to complete my slice. It simply was not well balanced. There's better places to go if you have to wait an hour for a slice. Is it better than a $1.50 slice at a bodega? Sure. But was it as great as everyone tells me. No. 2 stars.
Best pizza in NYC!!
Prepare to be blown away!! This is by far the best pizza in NYC or even the world! Also such a cool vibe and not pretentious like some of these other pizza places. Highly recommended!
