The Best
This is probably theBEST restaurant on St. Barths. Owner Chef The care that is taken with each dish is so apparent. The food is fresh and innovative. We go several times during our vacation each year and it never disappoints
Be the first to ReplyI really expected more, due to the multiple recommendations.
Nice place and nice food, but the portions are really very limited. Saint Jacques Rossini, well presented, but only 3 on the plate and an almost non-existent piece of foie gras. (+/- 15g) The same goes for the lobster mushroom ravioli. Nothing to complain about the quality, but the quality/price ratio is unbalanced.

Lovely place, DISASTROUS SERVICE AND WHAT ABOUT THE VARIOUS FAVORITES?!! Shameful, I would change jobs, useless maitre and not attentive to the room and customers! French style?! Oui… We will NEVER go back! Advise?! Forget about the restaurant business!

Excellent !!! Without a doubt the best restaurant on the island. Dishes and desserts of great creativity, with a perfect balance of flavors. When finesse and refinement combine with elegance, in a soft and intimate setting.
Be the first to ReplyA little taste of can do better
It is the end of a meal with an imperfect taste. What's on the plate is good but the portions are really limited. I had a foie gras, good but very small piece of starter with 1/2 part of toasted bread. The scallops are excellent but only 3… the same goes for the beef. And the service struggles to be warm.

Very nice experience in a lovely setting. Smile and friendliness, service, quality of excellent food and drinks. A great time, as always.

Terrible service. Food was just ok. It was a Friday night at 7:00p. Drinks ran dry, water was empty and no one checked on us: We ate at Tamarin, Eden rock, ocean club, beef bar, La langouste this week so I guess expectations were high. Cool atmosphere but no vibe like tamarin. Purposely skipped dessert and headed to La Creparie which was fabulous !! Skip L’esprit, you’re not missing anything !

This St. Barth restaurant experience cannot be topped. No bling, but a quietly luxurious spot with excellent offerings and service. Our time there was a pleasure from beginning to end. After starting with superb champagne and foie gras, we enjoyed entrees of squid and blue lobster with mushroom ravioli (which I am still dreaming of). The exquisite desserts added just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal. I cannot recommend L’Esprit enough. Its quality and lush location made for an elegant evening out after a full day in the sun.

This is a St Barts classic! Great tropical setting with excellent food and amazing service. We eat here every time we visit and are never disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best on Saint Barth
One of the island’s best restaurants. Perfectly prepared in every sense. Very reasonable prices and top notch service.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional and worth every cent.
We had an Amazingly EXCEPTIONAL meal at L’Esprit. Everything about the experience was exemplary. The food was extraordinarily good, the service impeccable and friendly, and the venue exotic and lovely. It is a very romantic place. What more could one ask for? We only wish we had visited earlier in our vacation because we would have gone multiple times! We could not recommend it more. It is worth every penny. Bravo!

For a relaxed and sophisticated meal, don’t miss L’Esprit. From starters to desserts, with cocktails and wine, the kitchen takes simple ingredients and makes them sing. The restaurant has a the feel of a tropical paradise with one part open to the sky. For an excellent meal that doesn’t require dealing with Gustavia or St. Jean, go to L’Esprit.
Be the first to ReplyBest pigeon I ever had….
Beautiful place, we went with my wife the thanksgiving night, so happy to not see any turkeys…😂. I had the pigeon.. the best.. service very professional 👍👍👍
Be the first to ReplyA favorite now on St Barts - chilled relaxed and exquisite food with a fine wine menu to boot
On a remote side of the island - so no passing trade - and the place was full! Could not recommend this restaurant enough.

We showed up early. The manager greeted us with a huge smile and took us over to a side bar to have drinks while they were setting up for dinner. The owner then took us to the front of the restaurant for photos under the lighted entrance ( the entire restaurant is beautiful ). All of this followed by an amazing meal. After visiting St Barts 4 times this is our favorite place. I would give 6 stars if I could!!!
Be the first to ReplyAsked for tip on bill.
The food, wait staff and ambiance was good up until the point where we received our check though. When we signed for our credit card, we noticed a stamped line that asked for tip and then we wonder if it’s because we are Americans or do they add that stamp to all dining customers? We’ve been to a good amount of restuaants on the island and this is a rare instance where they stamp on a tipping request to the bill.
Be the first to ReplyOur favorite dinner spot. Wish they’d stay open every night
We loved this place. There’s no view but they managed to create a great ambiance at night with lights and music. We had some health related dietary issues which they happily accommodated (No sodium ). Even with no salt the food tasted incredible. Kudos to the chef and the staff BEWARE: They close Sundays and Mondays. We found that out the hard way since it’s not written anywhere, so plan ahead.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing lunch
Amazing lunch in an unpretentious location We stopped because there was nothing else around and it smelled delicious. We were not disappointed. Everything we got was fresh and delicious. Salad with grilled shrimp, tuna tataki and fresh grilled lobster. One dish was better than the next. They infuse rum with ginger or vanilla. You can buy it to taste or a bottle to take. They were both delicious. I would definitely return here.
Be the first to ReplyBest food on the island with the most arrogant waiter ever.
It is unfortunate when a bad Paris attitude (waitstaff) travels to St. Barths and tries to ruin a good dining experience. IMO, they don't have enough staff and it shows. Food was exceptional. They could take a lesson from Bonito on customer service.
Be the first to ReplyOver-priced bad food.
We were excited to eat at l’ Esprit, what a disappointment.
The pros: good waiting staff
The minuses: the mains.
We ordered the sole, the pork loin and the scallops.
The pork loin was hard and sliced, mainly made of fat.
The Scallops “Rossini” were, well, 3 scallops (this is a main dish for €42 / $45)
But the real issue was the the “sole”. We were served a sliver of a fish - about 3.5 oz of overcooked rubbery piece of a fish tail.
When we mentioned it, we were told the piece was part of a 10 pound sole flown from France, we would not know, having been given less than 4 oz of it !
Absolutely over-rated and over-priced. Never again.
Outstanding !
Outstanding ! The food, the space, the ambiance, the service all incredible. We’ve been coming to St Bart for fifteen or more years. This was our first visit to L’Esprit. We’ve driven by it many times to the beach at Saline and this year decided to have dinner here. It was exceptional. 60E prix free per person plus add on’s and cocktails/wine so it isn’t cheap but it was worth it. The scallop and smoked duck starter, the fricassee of sole and lamb entrees were outstanding. The desserts were excellent.

We had our anniversery meal at L'Esprit this trip. First time to dine here. A bit out there (on the road just before Saline Beach) but so worth it. The surroundings are lovely here. Probably the best deal for fine dining on St Barts with a 60 euro prix fixe menu. Should have wrote the review sooner (as I forget what we had) but everything was delicious with exceptional service. Excellent wine list. Highly reccomended
