Counter side experience - poor
The meal was taken on the “counter” side. For 35 euros for the main course the portions were ridiculous (not even a starter). I would like to point out that this was NOT the gourmet restaurant where you can have several small dishes for a complete menu for 79 euros. Result: we had to have dessert outside.

Exceptional service, discreet and friendly. Pleasant, uncluttered setting with spaces that allow privacy even for our group of 10. We chose the Capitoul menu in 4 courses: scallops, tuna, lamb chop/beans, chocolate dessert. Good dishes, beautifully presented, perfect cooking but I expected to be more surprised, it remains relatively simple for a Michelin star. The savory appetizers to accompany the aperitif or the sweet ones for the coffee were very fine. The champagne and wine were very good. The ladies' toilets at the end of service were not restocked with towels to dry your hands. No emergency paper dispenser, forced to use toilet paper, more than limited... In the end we had a pleasant time and ate well but in comparison with other restaurants I expected a level above for a starred restaurant.

A little disappointed for a gourmet restaurant. The food remains very good but too simple for my taste. In this type of establishment we expect to discover the world of the starred chef, to discover an atypical cuisine where excellence in cooking is not enough.

Gastronomy lovers, we went for the first time to a Michelin-starred restaurant expecting to discover daring cuisine and new flavors. We took the menu in 4 stages and it was not our disappointment when we found ourselves faced with relatively classic dishes and, moreover, often bland and unrefined. The meal is really not worth the price…

Lunch alone on a Saturday during the school holidays. The appetizers are delicious with a broth that could do with being a little hotter so that the mixture with the citrus puree is really interesting (something I told the waiter). The signature sweetbreads are very successful and the all-chocolate dessert is masterful with a very nice balance. I ate for €86, water and coffee included, and considering the products, the execution and the service, I wasted neither my time nor my money.

I'm not talking about the kitchen because I haven't been to the place to eat there and I would never go. On December 28 after a little fight for the reservation on their site, I called directly to get a table at the counter. Reservations can only be made online, no reservations by telephone. During our exchange no details on the address or the error to avoid, nor on their site. The reservation is made with a 300 euro penalty if it is not honored. No worries, we are happy to go to the brasserie or counter in the Opéra gardens, 1 place du Capitole. This detail is important. At 9 p.m. I go with my guests to 1 rue du Capitol, to the Brasserie de l’Opéra, (another restaurant, at the same address). The next day, I receive an email telling me that 300 euros will be taken from me because I did not go to the restaurant. I immediately returned an email with a copy of my invoice, date and time, telling them that there was an error on their part. In return, he tells me that the Opera brasserie is not the same owner as “the counter in the Opera gardens”, at the same address. I would like to point out that I am not from Toulouse. I returned an email acknowledging my mistake. I ask them to recognize my good faith, because I could not be at two tables at the same time, on the same day, and to kindly take this into account. No return to this email, but the 300 euros were taken and without any commercial gesture. I can't be the only person who made this mistake. Who will be there, or next and what are you doing to inform your customers?

Very disappointing, we wanted to introduce our family to a Michelin-starred restaurant, focusing on original splats, surprises, a little taste adventure. But none of that, only "good dishes", very disappointed not to have traveled at all, we stayed in a good restaurant, with the impression of paying for the place (place du capitole) which was clearly not not what we were looking for

I arrived at the restaurant at 13.36 only to be old the close the kitchen at 13.30 (whilst Gault Millau said 13.45). So they turned me away. But when I checked their website afterwards it states they have a Comptoir des Gourmand open il 13.45. They didn’t mention the existence to me. This is really treating customers badly. I will avoid
