Best place ever!
We stayed 2 days at the Hotel Le Viscos, and we have to say the service and food was absolutely fantastic. If you appreciate nice and calm surroundings with world class food, this is the place to visit!
Be the first to ReplyLovely family run hotel with a restaurant
We visited here in December 2022 and chose from the €35 menu which was 3 courses but also included (on top of the 3 courses) an amuse bouche and an extra something before dessert. We also had a coffee which came with a small cake and chocolate each. The food was to a very high quality and the service was very good.

We stayed at Le Viscos and had dinner there both nights that were were at the property. Both nights the dinner was delightful and memorable in the best sense of that word. The menu was the same both nights, but there was enough variety to provide for different, enjoyable dinners. You can order a la carte, or from three different set menus.

Excellent restaurant with wonderful cuisine. All the dishes we chose: pigeon, pork, dessert were excellent. In the best traditions of French cuisine. They are not accidentally marked by Michelin. Best recommend.

Gloucester Bentley Drivers with 7 pre-war Bentleys had 2 nights at Le Viscos whilst we tackled routes that the Tour de France was on the following week, including up to peaks like Hautacam. The welcome from the Saint-Martin family who have run the hotel for years was exceptional, and just wonderful to experience the high class quality of a family run business. From Mama on reception with her daughter in law, to son Alexis preparing dinners for us of cordon bleu quality, to other son Aurelien running their new brasserie in the Saint-Savin square and then Papa, Jean-Pierre, preparing the best fried eggs and local bacon or his special omelette for breakfast. Just a great experience - thankyou!
Be the first to ReplyA Jewel in the Pyrenees
We stayed at the Hotel Le Viscos for two nights and had dinner each night and wished we could have stayed longer! The meals (breakfast and dinner) were incredible. Fresh, local ingredients, prepared to perfection!! For dinner, the chef catered to our pescatarian diet and every course was to perfection. During the day, Aurelien gave us suggestions for day hikes in the area that were spectacular. We are so happy that we found this jewel in the pyrenees - mostly from recommendations about the restaurant, but the hotel and the staff deserve equal praise for their customer service and warm hospitality. Thank you and we look forward to visiting again!

I had dinner with my family and some friends at the Viscos last night and it was perfect 10/10. The service was excellent, the surroundings lovely and the menu was great, it was good to see lots of fish and vegetarian options. The food was amazing, each dish was beautifully presented. It was delicate with lots of flavour. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant, it is outstanding. Well done to Alexis and his team and thanks for such a wonderful evening.

This is a wonderful restaurant with a cosy, sophisticated atmosphere. The service is excellent and very friendly. Thank you Haelda for making our wedding anniversary a special evening, it was perfect. The food was delicious and thank you Alexis for changing the main course, as I don’t eat meat. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

We went to Le Viscos for dinner. Outstanding. We had the top menu and a bottle of local white as recommended.
The service was first class and the English of the front of house very good.
Amuse bouche. Tomato based but looked good and the cream and the pepper jus were lovely. Good presentation too.
Foie gras au torchon with brioche. As good as one can expect.
Tastou au foie gras et a la truffe. My wife says this is one of her favourite courses and it didn’t disappoint. It was perfect on the tongue and looked very good.
Carre de porc noir macaronis a la truffe. My personal favourite. Just sensational.
Desert amuse bouche. Violet ice cream in a sort of violet milk. Absolutely fantastic.
Crime brûlée a la myrtille. My wife’s favourite dish. This was very good.
Baba au rhum. For me, the weak link. Not my favourite dish although I have to say it was very good.
Great fun and I hope to go back one day.
An outstanding meal
Top-flight french feed in a more casual environment. Friendly owners. Splurge for the prix-fix because the same meal would cost 3x elsewhere
