So I haven't stayed at this resort yet, will be staying in summer. But, I can only say so far amazing things. I booked for 2 nights and the concierge has been amazing. They have booked my restaurants, made reservations for their inhouse boat which is included of no charge. They also inlcude tastings, multiple types of boat tours, breakfast buffet and beach club access all included. can't wait!

We visited Le Sirenuse the last weekend of April. The hotel is ideally situated near the town centre, a short 5minute walk takes you down to La Spiaggia Grande & the port for boats to Capri. The hotel concierge pre booked our cab from Nice airport to the hotel. We can’t thank the staff enough. It’s great to visit a hotel as prestigious as Le Sirenuse and still experience a genuinely friendly welcome. All of the staff were very accommodating. A big thank you to the luggage porter who saw us on our last day leaving the spa with our heavy bags & helped carry them to reception. So much is included in the cost of your room. They hold wine tasting evenings, hikes, flower tours, & the best boat excursion we’ve had. Our boat excursion during sunset was the highlight of our stay & it was so lovely getting to know other guests. Thank you to the captain & host! It was a magical experience. It is worth looking at their calendar on their website to see which activities will be available during your stay. Thank you Leonardo for helping to book the activities prior to our arrival. We were lucky with the weather in late April! We had dinner at La Sponda for my Mother’s birthday. The musicians were fantastic & added to the truly authentic Italian atmosphere. The chef catered to my vegetarian dietary requests. I would definitely recommend reserving La Sponda for dinner in advance at the time of booking. It is worth booking a room with a balcony. Our room was spacious! The hotel grounds & pool are stunning. We found it easy to get a sunbed on both days. The spa is also worth a visit & you can book treatments in advance. We can’t wait to return! Definitely the best hotel on the Amalfi coast!
Be the first to ReplyMy Dream come true at Le Sireuse
Le Sireuse is in my list since April 2000 Due to Covid I have to cancel that trip However, I decide my first trip since pandemic to me here. Love the service from friendly staff , the weather is not good when I get here but I have a very beautiful memories here. Need to have a lot of budget since Positano is high cost living. Not recommend to come during long holiday by bus is disaster. I was there during easter and it's very pack.
Be the first to ReplyA perfect experience -- I wish I could have stayed longer!
I stayed at Le Sirenuse solo for only one night leading up to a wedding in Ravello and am so glad that I did! The stay was basically flawless. An easy transfer organized by the hotel from Naples and a smooth check-in experience with Maria at the front desk kicked off the stay. I arrived before my room was ready, and Maria did a great job of reviewing my itinerary, explaining how to make the most of my limited time on-property and smoothly handing me off to various English-speaking employees before I arrived at the pool restaurant for lunch. The pool, bar and casual restaurant are the heart of the property because of their extraordinary views of Positano and the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is truly one of the best views one could desire for lunch, pool lounging, reading etc. (and with views are clear and sunny most days the property is opened between April and October). Food across the board was excellent. I had a wonderful lunch at the pool (tomato salad and club sandwich) with generous portions, a nice bread service with housemade tapanade and Le Sirenuse olive oil, an amuse bouche and very attentive staff (e.g. they offered a table in the shade as the sun shifted midway through my meal, they brought another cocktail, olives and almonds to snack on after I finished my meal). La Sponda was a wonderful experience too. Elevated food featuring local ingredients, a flexible menu, live music and beautiful views (as with everywhere on this property). The service is what really stood out in a week full of great food — I was instantly recognized and greeted when I came down the stairs for dinner, the sommelier did an amazing job of pairing the a la carte dishes I chose with local wines, and the service was warm and helpful, but never overwhelming or pushy. I was in the base room as I booked a couple of weeks before my stay at a time when the property is generally sold out. The room was very comfortable, and had a nice view (albeit limited compared to the higher room categories). There was a festival in town that night so it was wonderful listening to the sounds of Italian music, Positano and sea breezes outside of my window while lounging in the room...and thankfully the sound insulation was great when it was time for bed. I loved the take-home gift offered in the room (I won’t spoil it), and all of the thoughtful touches, local handiworks and artwork throughout the property that extended to the room. It was basically a perfect stay. The only constructive criticism I would offer is that the gym is limited in the weight equipment it offers — it would be great to get a full rack of free weights to use as the one set of adjustable dumbbells that they have was in use while I was there so I had to wait a while, and the base rack only goes up to 20kgs or so. I would love to return and stay for longer. There were plenty of activities included on offer (sunset cruise, walking tour of Positano), and the location of the property is ideal for exploring town and walking to the beach. There were also several bars (Aldo’s, Don’t Worry) and an extensive menu of food options that I didn’t have time to enjoy. The stellar service from beginning to end made the experience even harder to leave! Can't wait to be back!

Heavenly home from home. Our 19th visit. And we are never disappointed. Having stayed at some of the most glorious hotels we always feel Le Sirenuse tops the charts. The amazing attentive staff wrap their arms around you (metaphorically) like a cosy blanket. Relax on the terrace. Enjoy the food in the divine restaurants, and Mauro on reception is one of the warmest kindest people. Definitely family run. Generations of love has gone into every detail. Thank you Sirenuse Family. We shall see you 2024!

As expected, truly amazing in every way. One of the finest hotels in the world. Incredible room, views, cuisine, and staff. Leonardo and his concierge staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Luigi and his pool service staff catered to our every need.

I stayed here with my husband for two nights after arriving from Capri. It was lovely. It’s an exclusive hotel, as others have mentioned earlier - and frankly, in a town like Positano; that is needed…a respite from the crowds and the ability to stay somewhere family run and steeped in history. As a member of Leaders Club from The Leading Hotels of The World, I was treated like a VIP, got an upgrade, and enjoyed some great perks like breakfast in their restaurant La Sponda; which was an epic spread that also included ala carte menus. My husband and I spent most of the time here as Positano can get tiring with the crowds: we went for a hike and came back to use the spa, soaked in the sun and dipped in the pool, had a wonderful tour of the garden one morning and learned about the details they care for in this property, and even took a rigorous Pilates class. Truly a special gem in the Amalfi; a recommended stay if you can do so. big kisses to the team here. Michael and Ramy

Staff at entry were incredibly rude. Hotel was booked so couldn’t stay there unfortunately so I was looking forward to going to eat at the restaurant. I was told I was too early and couldn’t even look out the windows. I was told I couldn’t look out the windows unless I was staying there. This was in the main lobby. Very bizarre. Shocked at the treatment at a hotel of this level. Would never stay here.

Third stay … always breathtaking. What a wonderful view of this magical place. Rooms could be a little larger, but they work and include everything you wish for. Service is great and prompt. The breakfast (incl.) is fantastic and offers everything you are looking for in Italy. And the views …

We came here for our 15th anniversary and the place was unbelievable. Clearly a five star experience that is worth the splurge. The views were stunning both from our room and from the breakfast/dinner location. The food was very fresh (we especially appreciated the fresh arugula, cheeses, and fruits in the morning). The candlelit dinner likewise was a wonderful experience. Service was impeccable throughout the stay. Very romantic (though we had friends who have gone with their family as well who have enjoyed it).

The surprise late October birthday gathering at Le Sireneuse was incredible, from the sumptuous rooms to the lovely pool and the beautiful candle filled restaurant. The food and views were wonderful, as was the in-town location. The service, however, is what sets this property apart. Each of us felt specially taken care of. Thank you for a delightful experience.

Our first time to the Amalfi Coast and we wanted to select a hotel that would be elegant, quaint and have the service and views that would make it a life experience. Well, Le Sirenuse delivered on all cylinders. The service is impeccable!!! We had a spectacular room that had a wonderful view that well appointed and very nice . It is not a new and modern hotel which I generally tend to like ,however, this was pure class and provided you a feel for the area and country. We did experience there restaurants except for Splonda and they were all exceptional. They have a lovely pool overlooking the Med where drinks and lunch are served. It feels like you died and went to heaven……… Again, I cannot say enough about the wonderful hotel and the staff as it was a vacation of a lifetime and we thank Le Sirenuse for the experience , service and quality.

An unforgettably magical stay at Le Sirenuse. From the moment of being collected from the airport by the fabulous Poppy, through the welcome (and goodbyes) received at the hotel from Leonardo the Legend, along with the sunset cruise on Uncle Aldo's fishing boat & trip to Nerano, the stay was perfect. Incredible hospitality, beautiful room with the most exceptional view, truly fabulous activities and lovely staff throughout. Thank you.

Le Sirenuse is truly the gem of Positano. Such a sweet spot. Perfectly maintained. Daily we discussed the efforts made to keep this place looking perfect. We were fortunate to have a 10 day stay here and fell in love with it over and over every day. Mostly due to the staff. Mauro (young) and Leonardo at the reception area are so incredible at their jobs, we assumed they had to be part of the family that owns the hotel. We were shocked to find out they are not. Lydia is also a treasure here. A private tour of the hotel's greenery with Julia was a highlight for me. Fascinating information about the garden efforts there and how the process works year round. WIth some additional historical details of the hotel and Positano. I could have spent the whole day with Julia. La Sponda was hands down the best food we had in Positano and we ate EVERYWHERE over 10 days. Luigi at lunch, Julio at Breakfast and dinner make the experience extra special. We had incredible treatments in the spa. Tip, the cold plunge after steam will give your step weary legs a refresh. Not kidding. Housekeeping ladies were absolutely delightful and did fantastic service day and evening. Spotless room at all times. I believe Carmen headed the team working our room. Aldos is also a great meal by the way. Cocktails will knock your socks off. The steps to Nocelle and Montepertuso natural arch are not for the faint of heart. Says in the description it will be 90 minutes. Not quite. Two hours and change moving a swift clip, and you will earn your delicious breakfast. We are fit 50 year olds who live and exercise at elevation and it about did us in. But you will meet interesting people by doing these activities. The boat activities provided in your stay are wonderful. Loved the crew. If you go to Nerano for lunch they give you some options to choose from. Absolutely choose Lo Scoglio. There is an extraordinary romance to this hotel.

Magical place. Not the newest or most glitzy, but oozes old school class and charm. Service outstanding and food truly impeccable. I’d give all the guests slingshots to fire at passing drones (no doubt being used by ‘travel influencers’ to gather more free content but also invading guests privacy). Giving the drone the finger seemed to have the desired effect mind you. The setting is truly magical and although it’s not cheap, the view is one of the best ever and it’s a one of a kind place. I’m writing this from the pool and can’t think of many spots I’d rather be. If you are thinking about coming - just do it.
Be the first to ReplyDon’t even bother… they promote a rude staff just to show exclusivity.
The hotel we were staying at in Positano was walking distance from Le Sirenuse so we decided to walk over and grab drinks at their bar around after hearing about it on social media. We walked over around 5:50pm and doorman let us know that the bar opens at 6:00pm. We decided to walk around and shop and came back around 6:15pm. The doorman then told us that the bar was full. Within 15 mins of opening… really? My husband asked if we could walk in anyway and and see if we could snag a table and the doorman said “yes but I’m telling you we are full”. We walked downstairs and saw that only TWO tables were taken. We asked the hostess if we could sit at any of the several open tables and she also told us they were full. Am I missing something? My husband and I were well dressed so I’m not sure why we were denied a table. The worst part of the whole situation was that the doorman acted smug the entire time he spoke to us. Very disappointing experience and will not recommend this hotel to any friends.

From the moment you walk through the door you sense your stay will be something special. That special feeling never stops. Le Sirenuse is extraordinary! Every member of their staff is professional, gracious, and enchanting. They go above an beyond to make your experience memorable and exceptional. Celebrating our anniversary, our Deluxe Sea View room overlooked Positano. The view is breathtaking! The room was a sofa & chairs sitting area with a separate bedroom. Ornately furnished with vaulted ceilings, marble, antique furniture, and striking colors. Our morning begins with coffee delivered to our room. The waitstaff expertly arranges the coffee and pastries on our balcony. Pinch me, I don’t believe this is real. The view is amazing! Breakfast at La Sponda is scrumptious. A La carte menu with an entire room filled with fresh fruit, juices, pastries, bread, cheeses and meats. Don’t forget the Mimosas! Venturing out the hotel’s back entrance you walk down narrow staircases and alleyways to the beach. Positano’s endless shops, cafes and restaurants await exploration. The return back to the hotel is a little more challenging. The steps will you fit! Dinner reservations at La Sponda are a must. A Michelin rating. The restaurant is lit by over 450 candles. The cuisine is Italian, savory & scrumptious. The waitstaff’s service is impeccable. We also enjoyed dinner on the candlelit terrace at Aldo’s. Sharing a cocktail with the view of Positano in the background. Aldo’s decor is artsy, stylish and trendy. Our dinner was amazing. Overall Le Sirenuse is over the top worthy of its 5 star rating. A must stay for your time in Positano. Pampered luxury awaits you! Ciao, Judy and Ronald

Le Sirenuse was a wonderful experience. The service was world class, every individual I encountered during my stay was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and fun. I was on a solo trip and they all made me feel comfortable and safe. Everything from my room, the sunset cruise to the dinner views were more than I could ever imagine. I highly recommend this hotel.

When you get to Positano you see the beauty of it straight away, and this hotel only intensifies the beauty. It is incredible. The best thing is the dining room lights in the evening. Apparently it takes them a few hours every night to light the candles. It's something else
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful property but....
I have visited Positano a few times and have always looked up at this iconic hotel hoping one day to stay there. Fiona and I booked with American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts which gives us quite a few benefits including a room upgrade at check-in pending availability of course. On every previous hotel stay for the past 15 years with this programme, the upgrade has been provided - but not at Le Sirenuse! We had booked a Superior Sea View room and when we got to it we discovered that it had what I could only describe as a restricted view. I believe that only three rooms in whole property have this drawback and we got one. Bearing in mind that they were charging us almost €3000 a night I had expected better! These room rates are more than we normally pay at The Four Season George V in Paris for an incredibly beautiful room. I'm sorry to say that, compared to George V, Le Sirenuse looks like a 3 star tourist hotel. The food was pretty good. The service was on the whole excellent however the feeling we came away with was that we had been totally taken advantage of as we were first time visitors. Would I recommend Le Sirenuse to others. I'm sorry but I most certainly would not. After all these years of waiting to get there this was a bitter pill to swallow.
Be the first to ReplyUnique and classy with the warmest service
It’s difficult to describe how special this place is. It’s an iconic hotel, with a great deal of history (which you can feel when staying there), but most importantly the service is warm and welcoming. We almost cancelled our dinner at La Sponda (ridiculously I was worried that it might be too uptight/ formal) but I am SO glad we kept the booking. It was one of the best dining experiences of my life. Our waiter announced “we want to make sure your evening is really special” and he meant every word. Instagrammers love this hotel and there were constantly people standing outside hoping to get in. IGNORE negative reviews from non-residents who were turned away from the bar. If you’re paying thousands of euros per night to stay here, you expect the staff to prioritise your place at the bar over walk-ins. That’s only fair! This place is special but not pretentious, beautiful and classy, and we are so glad we booked it. It IS expensive - very much so - but if you can afford it, I would say it’s a great experience. On the other hand, you will still experience the beauty of Positano if you stay somewhere considerably cheaper. I don’t want to take ANYTHING away from Le Sirenuse, but I wouldn’t break the bank to stay here. I say that in the most respectful way possible. A memorable stay in a unique place.
Be the first to ReplyA Truly Unique, Curated Experience
I first went to Positano about twenty years ago, backpacking through Italy for a month. The Amalfi Coast and Capri captured my heart back then, and it is sad to say it took twenty years to get me back there. Fortunately, the difference between being a college student and a 38-year-old means that my second jaunt to this region of Italy did not have a budget and my husband and I came to have good time. May 2022 was the perfect time to go – crowds were low, prices were reasonable, and the weather was fantastic. When you think Positano, you probably think of the vertical villas scaling the rock face from the beach, and the famous tile dome that sits like a Christmas ornament – the perfect garnish for this picturesque town. What many don’t realize is that Le Sirenuse’s meticulously maintained façade and terraces are as much a part of Positano as that stunning dome. Le Sirenuse’s gorgeous red stucco shines in the daylight, and it stands out clearly as a special place before you even step within 100 feet of the grounds. The investment of time, care, passion and money is abundantly clear the moment you pull up to the front doors of Le Sirenuse. It becomes obvious that you are in for an experience of a lifetime. When I travel, I research and plan 1-2 years in advance of the trip, so we walked into Le Sirenuse knowing all about it – the hotel layout, the plants, the rooms, the food, the activities, the history and the family. Going to check in I noticed instantly that Aldo Sersale was out front speaking with a guest, and this marked what we were in for and not expecting – a level of intimacy and detail on the hospitality front in the most informal of formal ways. This family and this team are here to make you relax and feel like you belong. Check in was a breeze and everyone’s kindness beamed through the COVID-19 partitions on the front desk. It was so dreamy being handed the famous room key in the beautiful lobby surrounded by exotic banana plants and no less than 50 orchid plants. We were escorted to our room, #54. Let’s be honest and upfront. We came to Positano in May, before high season. Even still, this was the most money we have ever spent on a hotel room, so I came to be more particular and critical than I usually am. Guess what? The room was immaculate. There is nothing to mention other than utter perfection. The white walls had no scuffs. The tile and marble floors looked brand new. There were no chips or scratches in any furniture. The bed linens and mattress were of the highest quality. The air-conditioning was effective and silent. The sound proofing was solid. The bathroom looked like it had just been renovated and the locally produced amenities were out of this world. Even the light bulbs used in all the lamps and fixtures gave a high-quality, warm glow without any distortion or strobing when dimmed. Everything was well thought out and perfect – like someone intentionally honed their craft for decades. And that is what you get in your room at Le Sirenuse. A product that a family has been working on perfecting for decades. And few hotels come close to this. Room rates at the hotel include a list of daily activities ranging from hikes to wine tasting to boat excursions. We enjoyed a plant tour with the fabulous Giulia Sersale and learned about the hotel’s decades-long plant plan. I might need a bougainvillea in my dining room as a result. We enjoyed an intimate wine tasting in La Sponda one evening before dinner service. Getting know local varieties (with some generous pours 😉) was so much fun while the team lit the 400+ candles for dinner service around us. Our boat excursion at sunset was a delight, and even though a brief storm caused us to head back, I will always remember the colors of the sky with the sun going down and the clouds rolling in above the mountains. The food and beverage program at the hotel is of course top notch, and there’s enough variety to enjoy local specialties, fresh seafood or a club sandwich if you need a taste of home with your Aperol Spritz. Dinner at La Sponda on our fourth night was a treat for the taste buds while we enjoyed eight courses watching the sunset with some bubbles and a nice Barbaresco. And maybe lots of limoncello. I didn’t realize that everyone who was making our mornings so special at breakfast also work the dinner service, so the night felt even more special seeing familiar faces stopping to chat and say hello. It was clear everyone was proud to have us seated at “the big show,” and goodness was it entertaining. We felt like established returning guests. Everyone loves the pool terrace here. We certainly did as well. The surroundings are one of a kind, and there’s endless entertainment watching lunch guests and clever tourists sneak in a tripod for that perfect “I was here” Instagram post. However, for me and my husband, our magic place was a quiet corner of the Don’t Worry Bar. Here, I had the first moment of this vacation where I felt relaxed, like it would all be OK. We sat on a yellow couch facing a fireplace where an antique guitar and Oriental armoire sit among the artwork, orchids, and palms. The barmen brought me the most beautifully crafted Manhattan cocktail, which I sipped while classic tunes by Paul Martin and Herb Alpert played out on the bar’s high-end speaker system. It was here we met Aldo Sersale one night and really started to understand the soul of this unique place, and the pull it has on its guests, its team, and its owners. Thank you, Le Sirenuse for this special time. Your hospitality and perfection are so unique and beyond expectation. We will be back, and one day we’ll call ourselves regulars. – Daniel & David
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Lunch!
Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent view, excellent surroundings! We had a very good experience visiting Le Sirenuse for lunch. The welcome is what one expects from such a high-end hotel; smooth, friendly and professional! We were seated at a table with an excellent view on the port, the Dome of Positano and the well-known slope of buildings behind it. The food was very good! Worth a second visit! The prices are, of course, high, but I found it still reasonable. It is justified by the quality and good taste of the food, and the ambience. I liked that we were treated equally as well as all the other guests. The atmosphere was so good that I decided to stay longer (and order more) than I initially planned. I would definitely recommend a lunch at Le Sirenuse. Personally, I would also make a reservation for dinner on a second visit to Positano. That is how much I enjoyed my experience! Thank you, Le Sirenuse!!!
