Be the first to ReplyToo expensive !
Last November, we went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and discover the establishment at the same time. Decoration of the room perhaps needs to be reviewed, boxes of wine everywhere and a fairly dark atmosphere. Very excessive prices applied! No wine by the glass for less than €10, not to mention the price of the bottles.. The dishes were good but not worth the prices displayed.. For locals, we will not repeat our experience unfortunately.

Excellent romantic moment in this highly rated, but still underrated restaurant (I even told the owner that they should have a Michelin star!). Perfectly presented plates, excellent quality products, a combination of products that preserves flavors. As for the atmosphere, it's also perfect, we're not on top of each other and the service is attentive, neither too present nor too distant. And to finish, the owner recommended a Marsannay from the Ballorin estate, a treat...

Second visit to this establishment but it will not be the last. The wines from small producers offered with the menu were perfectly chosen and the dish always of a high standard.

We came back for the second time after a year and had very good memories of this restaurant. We were very disappointed this time. Already long wait to receive the portions to share, ham and sardines Then endless wait for the dish. This one is delicious: guinea fowl cooked to perfection and salmon with a very tasty sauce. Once again a very long wait for the ordinary dessert; the chocolate mousse looks more like a cream without much taste. Finally 3 hours at the table and high price not commensurate with what we ate. The boss is in the kitchen and his very friendly wife is in the dining room. No staff which would perhaps reduce the wait..

Be the first to ReplyGreat little restaurant in Beaune.
Food was inventive and delicious. The bread was outstanding. Service was spot on. The ambiance was cosy but it was slightly cold.

A very simple excellent cuisine prepared with fresh local products. A great choice of wines. And a very nice, professional service by the owner herself.

We enjoyed a lovely, quiet, romantic dinner here on a warm summer evening. There are not very many tables so it is absolutely necessary to reserve in advance, but it's worth planning ahead to get to dine here! The hostess and owner Agnes is delightfully friendly and warm. She took excellent care of us and made us feel very welcome. They have an amazing choice of fine wine, and Agnes helped us choose the perfect wine for our meal. We enjoyed the chef's surprise menu and each course was a delight. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible which we appreciated. The decor is lovely, including an antique wine decanter in the shape of a duck, which we named Duchess Canardine de Decanteur, and we learned that it was a gift from Agnes as a young girl to her grandmother, and now it stands in a place of honor in the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent experience to relax and enjoy
This was our first dinner of month-long travels in the area and so it also was our first experience of an excellent new, post-Covid model for outstanding small restaurants. Chef Charly and everything else Agnes provide remarkably fresh, personally prepared and beautifully presented dishes from a limited set menu for a small number of tables and lucky diners. Wine list also is short but well chosen and well priced...as was the 40-yr-old Calvados that capped our evening. Absolutely everything was spectacular -- including the gracious, cozy atmosphere. Our favorite was the almost foam-like, ultra-fine shaving of Jamon Iberico de Bellota. We subsequently learned that this small-is-beautiful model now is used by many exceptional chefs throughout France to allow them to show their creative talents and break the economic grip of scale. Go to relax and enjoy.

One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Beautiful, cosy, characterful setting - super friendly and knowledgeable host. We had the tasting menu, which was superb and a couple of amazing bottles of wine.

This restaurant, run by chef Charley and Front of House Agnes, is wonderful. The food is classic yet inventive and the service first class. You're not rushed and are able to relax, enjoy the atmosphere and the great wines that Agnes knows so well. A great find in Beaune, we just hope it doesn't become too popular and we can't visit again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience...food and service = TOP
Had dinner at this place on recommendation of a friend. Small menu, only 3 starters, main courses and deserts to choose from. But what an excellent quality! My eggs with mushrooms were excellent, and my main course, a whole pigeon, was fantastic. Finished the meal with an excellent strawberry desert. Great wine list with prices reasonable according to Beaune standards. Great service. Friendly, smooth and very knowledgeable. This restaurant is operated by only 2 people, a chef and his partner. A small restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. Will certainly come back.

We happened upon this restaurant while wandering around Beaune and loved it. The women who was our server was so friendly, giving us tips on other areas where we’d visit, as well as giving us lots of information about the food we were eating. She gave us a lot of suggestions for eating out in France and was so friendly. The food here was obviously made by someone who really cares about making exceptional food.

This was the second of three excellent meals in Beaune. This smart restaurant turns out superb food with a matching wine list. The ambience is very good & Agnes who runs front of house is most welcoming. Her wine knowledge & recommendations top notch. A small restaurant, bookings recommended. You can book online. Not open weekends.
