Warm and friendly reception and a pleasant overnight stay.
I would possibly agree with another reviewer that this place is possibly a little close to the mark to be listed as 4-stars... Although I have no real complaints, the service was very good and the food in the restaurant in the evening was very good - the desert especially was of Michelin star quality. The rooms are very small but quite well equipped. My room (there were four of us travelling on motorbikes) had a nice balcony looking onto the back garden which was lovely. Air-Conditioning was good as well. Wouldn't mind staying here again, location is a little strange as the hotel is located in the middle of a mid-size town but you wouldn't know it once there. Only slightly frustrating aspect was that the breakfast had to be ordered completely (including hot and cold drinks) the night before, which is a little restrictive.

This hotel is rated as 4* so we were expecting a better standard. We really felt the carpets on the landings needed replacing. We waited for an hour before we were given our first course which was patรฉ de foie gras so didn't have to be cooked. When we complained, we were told that there were three orders in front of us even though we were the first people in the restaurant.

Just back from the most charming lunch experience in this wonderful restaurant run by a wonderful personal and with a great chef.
The langoustine starter was Intrigant and delicate to a degree I rarely have experience before.
The veal was succulent and prepared in the most caring, tender way.
The cheeses were plentiful and predominantly locally sourced.
Charming old hotel with traditional food
Clean, old-fashioned rooms with charm, modern decorations in the hallways, modern looking restaurant with traditional rich/heavy food. Excellent food though - just need to be ready for a long sleep afterwards and best to not be vegetarian ...
Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the back park of the property.
Elegant bar for drinks before dinner an additional benefit.
