Perfect experience!
Charming premises, with fantastic food served by the nicest staff! We had the best (and biggest) veal cutlet ever -
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
Given the reviews I expected better. Disappointing cuisine. Tables on the street in an unpleasant and poorly lit area. Friendly staff but slow service
Be the first to ReplyExcellent - we recommend
Beautiful place and excellent food. We recommend, among others. Frog Legs and Calf Liver
Be the first to ReplyNice place
Great restaurant with unusual, fresh products. Typically French. Perhaps less suitable for small children. Very good wine recommendation.
Be the first to Replydeplorable reception
What can I say about your unfriendly welcome. Your self-sufficiency is not everything, Mr. Waiter (unless you know him, a tourist has the right to so much attention ;)!!. Average dish in flavor (gambas pasta), very slow service. Too bad because in view of the comments. Passing through but unique and last time in your establishment. Sorry for the boss Mr Antoine apparently. Positive point, the establishment is very beautiful.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food, very long service
A very good restaurant which serves classic but very finely prepared dishes. Sufficient quantities, we had a dessert more out of greed. NB: these are not typically local dishes. On the other hand, the service was incredibly long (2h30 between arrival and bill for 2x starter, main course, dessert). To try again to see if it was an exception or a habit.
Be the first to ReplyLovely small Bistro, Great food!
Its a very small bistro in Strasburg, small and cosy with some really good food. The frog legs were excellent and my fillet of beef was exceptionally good, cook to my liking. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Wonderful little bistro in the tourist heart, but only full of locals. Wonderful seasonal dishes, attentive service. Perfect lunch spot.
Be the first to ReplyConsistenly Excellent - Delighted to Return Again and Again
Discovered this delightful eatery back in October 2021 and have returned several times since. Friendly prompt service coupled with great food freshly prepared make this place a great venue. The frogs legs persille are excellent and hard to resist. Looking forward to returning again.
Be the first to ReplyNot to Be Missed - Brilliant
I can only echo what so many others have said. Service is pleasant, polite and friendly. The food is truly excellent, simple but freshly prepared and utterly delicious. The talented chef and his team are clearly well known locally as the place is always full so be sure to book to avoid disappointment. Highly recommend the frogs legs persille with a hint of spice, garlic and cherry tomato, the calves liver perfectly cooked rose and with a rich and delicious sauce. The pommes puree IS about the best you'll find anywhere. Merci, merci, merci - We will return.

Don’t be misled by the unpretentious, small interior (nor by the rather condescending Michelin review). There aren’t crisp white linen table cloths or an army of waiters or fussy ‘clever’ concoctions, just really good food served at just the right moment. We were the only ‘tourists’ among a mix of elderly and young locals who obviously eat at le Bistrot regularly- lucky them! The food is really, really good, - unctuous sauces, divine mashed potato (generally don’t eat mash) and crisp salads. The hot water pastry raised pie or pâté de foie gras en croute starter is sublime. I wanted to buy the whole pie and bring it home. If you are visiting Strasbourg you should book lunch or dinner before setting off to avoid missing the opportunity to dine here.
