The service was excellent.
I felt like I was rich! The food was delicious, although I found it to be a bit bland. But besides that, great performance, great quality and quantity! I recommend this place for good cuisine meals and birthday celebrations!

Prime rib was mediocre, mashed potato tasted like a dehydrated mash potato from a box and service was slow. It was a Tue night and only half of the dining hall was filled. Go to US for the real deal

Always loved the steak at Lawry's whether in Singapore, Japan or the US. We celebrate birthdays here mostly and when it's the full extended family of 20, we have been assigned private space in an alcove. Service is always excellent and attentive, although it's best to take the time to enjoy the full experience of the signature spinning salad and the carving trolley as the chef carves your steak at your table. For special occasions like birthdays, Lawry's provide a complimentary cake and song singing by the serving staff.

OK. If you've been to Lawry's in Beverly Hills, probably this would be half a step down, because the interior decor just cant compare. The ceiling paintings at BH adds so much to the grandness of the experience. But that's about it. I give it a full 5 stars because in its own merit, the experience was top notch. Service staff was kind and smiley. They let us take our own time, and cleared our tables and refilled our glasses with impeccable timing. They were very attentive and it made the dining experience extremely lush and enjoyable. The food I dont think I need to comment much, but I am glad they adjusted to Singapore portion sizes. They have a Singapore Cut for their roast beef, which is smaller than the usually smallest California Cut. Which I found fantastic because then you wont stuff yourself silly, especially cause the creamed spinach is a must order side and then you still need to leave from for dessert. My friend had the roast beef, impeccable piece of meat! And I had the lamb. Which was a very good choice, if you want to try something new. I do think that the price point is similar to the US restaurants. If there was something that was less than perfect was the spinning salad 'show'. It wasn't much of it... haha it was a courteous lady, who smiled, and told us this is the signature salad, then spun the bowl. Not much of ย a show, but then again it might have been just an off day (?). Regardless, I'd come back again to celebrate something.. or just to eat prime rib by myself for a treat.

Was craving for a good chunk of beef to get the weekend started right. Walked in without any reservation for a late dinner and the staff was more than eager to accommodate. Ordered the diamond cut, which was 450 g. or roughly 16 oz. on paper, but the actual size was much bigger since the carver couldn't just carve around the bone for 16 oz. slice. So I pretty much got a whole bone, which felt closer to 20~24 oz. Done that many a times before, so challenge accepted!Meat was super tender even though I opted for medium. The outer edges and the bits around the rib bone were particularly good. Middle part relatively tougher. Also, the Au Jus was a bit too light for me though, so I asked for some sea salt and tuned it right up to preference. Saw a few reviews mentioning the salad, but it didn't really do anything for me. Don't really care if the waitress lifted her toes or what not... There are better salads elsewhere for sure.
Be the first to ReplyService not so good for price you pay.
Service in HK Location amazing. The waitress make spinning salad , stand on tippy toes when pouring dressing is the best , food great. But I go for the salad show. I had a dude make my salad in Singapore last night. Not cool at all. I won't be going back to Singapore location anytime soon.

While this place is an institution here, I haven't been until recently, for lunch. They make a great show of everything - the salad, the cutting of the meat, the yorkshire pudding... I really like the lobster tails starters, and everything was generally good. The prime rib was so juicy and large, I felt so guilty eating one by myself, which I nevertheless shamelessly finished.I do like this place, and liked my window seat! I do feel a little funny that my friend's vegetables on his steak were skewered on little forks suspended over his plate. I also feel a little funny that this place has a lot of pomp. Good place to impress a girl, I spose. (haha) Decent food.Oh, we also had the house-branded wine, which was okay as far as generic wines go.

Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Would recommend the Prime Rib Dinner.
Be the first to ReplyWhat can I say? You want prime rib this is it.
Forget the price and forget the diet. This is the best you can get. Moist tender perfectly cooked. All the sides. If you are a vegetarian, maybe choose somewhere else to go.

Held in their private banquet room with great view of Orchard Road. The Service, with waitstaff (female) in chambermaid outfits acted as professional, and really outdid the waiters. The staff attentively, served us, replaced our silverware, and served our plates correctly (served on the left). Every dining need was taken care of by the staff. The Food: A wonderful little show by the staff who spin your salad in a giant bowl, almost in front of you, was entertaining. Though we didn't eat the main course of steak, the white cod fish was cooked to perfection, the additional lobster we ordered was grilled perfectly, as well. The side dishes like mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding tasted great, too. Our dessert (creme brรปlรฉe and pecan brownie) were perfect, and our host ordered a third dessert, for us to share, a NY styled marble cheesecake, which tasted like home. When in Singapore, stop by Lawry's for a great meal!
Be the first to ReplyTheir Lawry's prime rib is really good.
Service is great if it's not a busy night. Their sides are pretty decebt too.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is full of comic factors.
It's like dining in a theme park. For reals. Me and the missus walked past the restaurant and I made the casual comment about the fact that I've never tried this restaurant before and then we decided to check out the menu and vibes. The fact that it looks straight out of the 80s was probably the sole comic factor that lured us in. We thought it would be funny. It turned out to be hilarious indeed, and then a little sad. Almost fell off my chair as soon as we were seated, when I saw how they dressed their waitresses in chambermaid uniforms. I mean.. Seriously??!!! Surely it's against some HR policy or Moral and Ethics Code of the restaurant association?!! It was both funny and sad at the same time. We ordered roast beef and steak. It comes with salad. But they didn't tell us that the salad comes with the chambermaid preparing it in front of you with a little dance number. I mean... It's intense. Me and the missus had to channel all our willpower to stop ourselves from laughing out loud. It was hard. Surely this restaurant belongs in Disneyland or something. Surely. The food? It felt like food that you get in a Hard Rock Hotel, or on a cruise. Which to be honest is super aligned and on brand to the vibes of this place. So you can say it's authentic and brand consistent cuts across all touch points. Only problem is that they position themselves as a premium prime rib place, and at a price point to match. They should completely target the cruise dining scene. They'll be big.
