Top notch dinner from start to finish
Beautiful location with 5 star service throughout the night. Was our favorite restaurant vs the others tried (la case, le petite plage, l'isola, nikki beach). Foie Gras appetizer - excellent St Bartholomew salad - light, refreshing and absolutely beautiful presentation Lamb chops - small, but absolutely fantastic Lobster special - pricey, but worth it. Great presentation and delicious

Amazing selection for breakfast. Great coffee and service. Nice ambience. I tried the ham cheese baguette, and breakfast triple egg sandwich with a cup of cafe latte. They were delicious and fresh.

If youโre on a strict diet of small portions at high prices, youโve found the place. Add to this, an over abundance of flies and youโre going to have a great time โฆ but bring a fly swatter, because five diners with napkins in hand couldnโt keep them at bay. The best part of our luncheon? Leaving. I ranked this 5โญ๏ธ because it would otherwise get buried and youโd never read it.

Simply put: easily the finest restaurant in St Barthโs. My wife and I have visited St Barthโs 26 times and this restaurant is unique and wonderful. Slightly expensive but worth it! The skill and love with which the food is prepared and presented is very seldom seenโฆanywhereโฆespecially St Barthโs. A real gem and a do not miss for fine dining.

They do not uphold their commitments! At the very last minute, and without good reason, they canceled our reservation for sunset drinks for the night of our wedding rehearsal. Completely unacceptable! Over three months prior, we made reservations for drinks on the rooftop (to watch the sunset) followed by dinner downstairs. This was to celebrate our wedding rehearsal dinner - an important night to celebrate the coming together of our family from far and wide the evening prior to my wedding. The restaurant suggested we arrive at 6pm for drinks on the rooftop to watch the sunset followed by dinner afterwards. We loved their suggestion, and took them up with it. 24 hours prior to our reservation, they canceled our drinks reservation. Their reasoning? They had a "last minute event booked" and "a 75guests event was not something we could pass up". I attached screenshots of their text messages to this review as proof. It was completely unacceptable. It did not matter to them that we had booked the event months prior, that we had relied on their professionalism and had not made other plans, that this was a very important night in our lives, and that they were throwing us aside for money. They could care less about their commitments to customers. At this restaurant, your intimate event--no matter how important it may be to you and no matter how early they guarantee your reservation--will be discarded if another opportunity comes by. As such, DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENTS AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT - THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. It's a shame that a restaurant with the name Joel Robuchon would stoop to such unprofessional behavior. To cancel someone's wedding rehearsal plans at the last minute is completely unacceptable. Although they canceled our 6pm drinks reservation, we still had dinner downstairs at 7:30 (side note - they never gave anything complimentary or even bothered apologizing when we arrived). I did not want to let their lack of professionalism get in the way of trying the food of this highly reputed establishment. But it was overhyped. Some of the food was really good, but other dishes were not. The bread served before the meal was excellent (I love za'atar), and the mushroom ravioli appetizer was outstanding - a truly delicious cream of mushroom sauce with perfectly rolled and filled pasta. But the dover sole entree fell flat. It was bland, overcooked, and too sweet - the worst dover sole dish I have ever eaten. And the chocolate dessert was tasty but nothing special - a piece of chocolate, dollop of peanut butter, and some ice cream. There are so many better restaurants in Saint Barthelemy than this one. This place is a ripoff, a tourist trap that treats customers like garbage because of their condescending sense of entitlement due to the name of the deceased culinary icon on their door. Don't bother, and certainly do not book events here! Don't make the mistake we made!

Lunch. Pros: Beautiful setting with views of the port at the second floor rooftop, our food was all excellent - risotto, ceasar salad, chicken dumplings. Cons: Agree with other, kitchen very slow and inattentive service for basics.

I am so disappointed with your service that I donโt plan to come again to your restaurant. Itโs a pitty because my husband and I are huge fans of the brand worldwide. I felt very disrespected. My friends and I went to the restaurant at the time of the reservation and explained to the hostess that the menu wasnโt what we expected and, moreover, the ambience of the restaurant that day was not ideal, given that the restaurant was completely empty. We asked her about the possibility of cancellation on spot, due to the topics explained above. She agreed to the cancelation without fee and we left. I was completely surprised by seeing that i was charged on my credit card in 900 โฌ, because of the hostess approval at the time. I sent the restaurant an email kindly asking her to review the decision of charging that value, which was not granted. I could understand if the restaurant was fully booked and our cancellation led to a loss for the restaurant. However, I really donโt think the restaurant was jeopardized by our cancellation, and thatโs the reason why I believe i should not be charged in this high value.

We had dinner at LโAtelier in St. Barth this evening. We started with drinks at the roof top bar(a must before your dinner). I had informed the restaurant one of our group would be celebrating a birthday. They made a special drink for her. The roof top is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and even though we are after dark it was obvious that the views were magnificent. Dinner was special. The wait person (Laurene) was patient, could easily explain all the items on the menu. She was friendly and a great ambassador for the restaurant. Every item we ordered from the bread to the petite plates were subpreb and tastefully presented. It was a wonderful dining experience. I certainly u derstand why itโs rated as one of the best in the Caribbean. I highly recommend this restaurant and would not hesitate to dine at one of the other restaurants around the world.

We went to this restaurant on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant is very elegant and welcoming at the same time. Excellent welcome also from the dining room staff ready to satisfy every need with a smile. Congratulations all really good. Excellent our first experience with fois gras ever, my favorite course. A special thanks goes to Enzo, who made our dinner unforgettable. Definitely a sensory experience that is hard to forget.

We visited on a Monday evening. The food was delicious but the service was awful. I would not go back. We had to ask many times for our drinks. My daughter got the tasting menu and the first course they gave her was incorrect. We had to ask for our wine to be poured. It took forever to get our check. If you enjoy spending 1k on a dinner and being ignored then go. Otherwise save your money. Not worth it.

We tried Robuchon when it initially opened and the service was so-so, but the food was good. We tried it again on our latest trip to St. Barth and it has blossomed into a world-class restaurant by any standard. The caviar dish was particularly exquisite. They now have an exceptional team of seasoned veterans running the show including our longtime friend and St. Barth service "super-star" Enzo. He introduced us to Jimmy who makes the best cocktails on the island (trust me I've had them all). This is a must do when in St. Barth and we can't wait to be back in a few months. While my friend and I were recently shopping in Gustavia, our husbands decided to search out a bar. They stumbled upon the Rooftop by L'atelier and we joined them shortly after. We had a great experience. It was around 5 p.m. and were the only ones in the bar. The harbor views are gorgeous and the bar area is very pretty. Jimmy, the bartender, was extremely friendly, and talked about his family, living on the island, etc. He also talked about many different cocktails and gave us a couple of samples. This was a fantastic spot for later afternoon/early evening cocktails. We will definitely be back and will probably try the restaurant for dinner.

We stopped in for a drink before our reservation at another restaurant and so glad we did. The view from the roof is beautiful, and the bartenders were so nice and helpful . The mixmaster came over and talked about the cocktails to order and was so nice. We didnt have dinner here but would love to come back next time and try it out based on the service we received.

Compared to NY or Las Vegas, this was by far a superior experience. Alexis the sommelier blew our group away with his attention to detail and knowledge. I would return solely based on the fact that he is present. The food was superior to the states in EVERY way. Nolan โTHE LASERโ deboned the sole like a surgeon. Mat the manager was lurking in the shadows ensuring everything was to perfection. The rooftop 1942 was the icing on the cake. Exceptional food and service in paradise, look no further.

The perfect choice in town
I checked TripAdvisor and then walked around town looking for an upmarket restaurant with location and a tempting menu. LโAtelier fit the bill perfectly. I had sea bream as a main, and a pear dessert. Sounds pedestrian, but not when each was combined with ingredients that complimented the flavor, color and texture of the main ingredient. Served by friendly staff in a perfect location overlooking the harbor - could not be beat on a blissful day in Gustavia.

We were very excited to try this restaurant last night. We chose the upstairs dining room which is the less expensive option. It's beautifully design, the location on the harbor cannot be beat and the people at reception are very kind and welcoming. A few things people should know: It is a price fixed menu at 125Euro, which is appropriate to the cuisine, however be advised that at least three quarters of the offerings require a supplemental charge. We laughed about it, ordered anyway but it sends a poor message to the customer. The food and its presentation were excellent and as expected. The staff was extremely friendly but, and this is where things went a bit south for us, after ordering drinks and dinner, service became somewhat sporadic and slow. We opted for cocktails and some of us had wines by the glass. After not ordering bottles of wine it occurred to us that our table was no longer a priority. Servers and mangers were quite busy entertaining other tables of regulars, laughing and having a great time, but meanwhile we sat waiting for the desert that would never arrive. It is a three course meal so failing on the last course is effectively failing on 1/3 of the experience that left us languishing and frustrated. Finally, we just asked for our bill because we were tired of watching the servers fawn over others while we sat annoyed. To their credit, they apologized, took off 15% and gave us pastries to take home, but we left disappointed. Hopefully they will rectify the service shortfall and we will give it another try next year but in the meantime we are cancelling our reservation for the more expensive dining room we had for this Friday,
