Justin K, our server gets 5 stars, but the food gets only 4.
Justin was absolutely amazing, he took such great care of us, and while I am sure he treats everyone this way, it made the whole experience so special. When we mentioned we were there for a birthday and our anniversary, he offered us bubbles on the house. We don't like bubbles, and instead of just moving on, he gave us a delicious shot to end our night. Thank you Justin!! I was ready to have at least one mind blowing dish, one where I take a bite and close my eyes to savor, just based on the hype. But I was disappointed. The salatim were good, but the cauliflower and mushroom dishes were just okay. I will say the cost to food ratio was great, you get a LOT of food, and when it says included on the menu, it feels like you are getting free food. The brown sugar dessert was in fact delicious.

We all know the reviews - just know our first time here was enhanced greatly by our server Riley. He made us feel like family. Thank you! Wonderful experience! Wish you were opening on the west coast!
Be the first to ReplyTasty food, excellent service, and parking nearby.
What else do you need in Fishtown?

It's quite the racket: Fill up on salatim then get Basically no meat* *everything was good, it was all just fine tasting. The meat portions are so small it's laughable. But you will get full from all the pita and hummus they serve you before the meat comes out. Don't need to return
Be the first to ReplyLast night we dined at the chefs table.
Our experience was enhanced by our charming and knowledgeable server Sean. We took his lead and had a scrumptious dinner of Delectable mezes which Sean described in detail. We then followed up with melt in your mouth sirloin. He brought these French fries that were crisp, savory and memorable. Our water glasses were topped off continuously Without a blink of the eye. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Sean

Another human being saying that Laser Wolf is excellent?! Ground breaking. I was lucky enough to dine at the Chef's Counter for the first time last week and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Brass tacks FAQ: 1) You're paying for the entire experience built into your entree price. Expect to spend anywhere between $60-$120 per person all in, depending on appetite and money spent at the bar. 2) Use Resy notify to get in, but you need to be lightning fast once you get the notification - especially if you're hoping to dine during peak times. 3) Chef's counter is amazing for a group of two. I found there to be plenty of room for all dishes, drinks, boxes, salatim, etc. 4) Save room for soft serve. 5) Take note of the automatically added 20% service charge. Other than that, sit down and get ready for an amazing night. I enjoyed every single salatim dish and it's obvious the team here works hard to get flavor profiles JUST right. Surprise hit for me? Smokey, marinated beets. Standard favorites like the hummus and kale eggplant dish were also stunners. For our mains, my boyfriend and I opted to go meat heavy with the koobideh and sirloin. Truly, I can't recommend this course of action enough. The koobideh is unmissable and I was impressed by my boyfriend's ability to put together the most beautiful bites (meat + pita + a little hummus + tahini + onion = genius). We went brown sugar soft serve and I forced myself to get through more than half of it, but was SO full. The rice crunch makes it. My only regret is ordering a cocktail instead of a glass of wine. I like their wine list a lot and while I enjoyed my cocktail on it's own, a glass of red wine would have really made the meal more indulgent and coherent. Other than Goldie, this is my first interaction with a Solomonov restaurant and I can't wait to get to more of them for special occasions and top tier hospitality. And hummus. All the hummus. Thanks for an amazing night, team!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time at this Israeli Restaurant.
Food, service and atmosphere was great. For cocktails I tried the 2 Israeli beers; Netanya, Israel, 4.9% and Tel Aviv, Israel, 6.5%. Both were very good. The Lamb Beef Koobideh was delicious and for dessert Brown Sugar Soft Serve Ice Cream. Food was plentiful and the serve staff was nice, friendly and helpful. I was not rushed and had a wonderful time and experience at this restaurant. Definitely return on my next trip to Philadelphia
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely fantastic restaurant and a fantastic meal! I
Absolutely fantastic restaurant and a fantastic meal! I was traveling for work and so sat at the bar -- the bartender/waiter was awesome and service was superlative. You start out with the salatim which included 10 or 12 things . . . one better than the rest. The hummus was particularly great, especially with the freshly baked pita. I had big eyes, I guess, as I actually ordered the fish (I would've been fine with the salatim), and it was delicious as well. My only regret was that I was flying solo -- the atmosphere is a fun one and I only wish that I had brought a whole crew in. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!

Be the first to ReplySalatim, Tuna Tartare, Koobideh, Salmon, Brown Sugar Soft
Salatim, Tuna Tartare, Koobideh, Salmon, Brown Sugar Soft Serve, and Lime Coconut Sorbet Okay this was unreal. Such a killer meal. The salatim was so fun, there's so many different things to try! My fav was the kale babaganoush. And they let you get refills of everything on the salatim and more Pita too! Which btw the Pita and Hummus are lifechanging. Tuna tartare was really yummy. Salmon and koobideh were out of this world good. Brown Sugar Soft Serve was a little meh, but the lime coconut sorbet was perfect. Cute interior with really pretty light decorations
Be the first to ReplyI have always wanted to try out Laser Wolf and I can say
I have always wanted to try out Laser Wolf and I can say it's def worth the hype! Located in the hippy fish town area - the interior design is modern and has a quite different vibe with zahav (both owned by Michael Solomonov)Menu is easy to navigate - each person picks a entree from the grill and the salatim is for the table to share. My personal fav from the salatim is the Turkish brussel sprouts, sweet potato muhammara, and Lutenitsa! And everything is so so flavorfulThe brown sugar soft serve is also so so good - love the tehina shell - leveling up the textures of this dessert and it's also not overly sweet. We got the passion fruit cooler too - so refreshing! And our waiter is kind enough to give a side of French fries on the house :) He is so patient in explaining the menu to us and walking us through the different dishes in the salatim.Overall 10/10 experience - will definitely go back again some time!!
Be the first to ReplyLaser Wolf a lot more laidback than Zahav or Suraya, but
Laser Wolf a lot more laidback than Zahav or Suraya, but the quality of the food is at the same level. The servers wear tropical shirts and I love that. You choose any of the entrees on the menu and it comes with the Salatim, though if you're not feeling that hungry you can also get the Salatim on its own for $21. There are unlimited refills, though you have to ask for them; the servers won't just do it unprompted. We were celebrating an anniversary. There wasn't anything celebratory done for it, but they did drop off an off-menu asparagus dish that they said they were considering adding to the menu. I ordered the whole dorade ($48), my partner had the tuna shishlik ($48), and we shared the fries. By the time the entrees were out, I was already full from the salatim! My favorites were the dates and tomato salsa, the cilantro (?) baba ghanuj, and the super creamy hummus. The pita was super fluffy. If you were to use it as a sandwich rather than a dipping vehicle, there's plenty of space inside to shove your favorite fillings. The fries are steak-cut, with crispy outsides and a steamy, creamy inside. I didn't think the ketchup was that special. My fish had a very nice, crispy skin. The meat was flaky and tender. We finished the meal off with the brown sugar soft serve. I personally thought the tahini added a strange sour note to the soft serve and would've preferred to go without.
Be the first to ReplyBest Israeli/Mediterranean food I've ever had.
Plus, we didn't even have a res. Just walked in and luckily got some of the open seats at the bar (on a Sat night). Overall 10/10
Be the first to ReplyShit was real good.
Good looks Kevin. I'd come back. Shit I'd come back tomorrow. Thanks Kevin.
Be the first to ReplyLaser Wolf is very acclaimed.
I was super excited to try their food and I was not disappointed. My favorite was their sampler style dish that came with lots of different sauces and veggies. The hummus was my favorite. It comes with pita bread which was incredible. This spot is a must try in Philly! Don't forget reservations.
Be the first to ReplyI have been waiting to go to laser wolf for awhile, I did
I have been waiting to go to laser wolf for awhile, I did love the service! However I do think from the grill entrees we're disappointing compared to the pita and small sides. I would definitely recommend the pita and the wings! The wings were delicious. I ordered off the zero proof drink menu, and I really enjoyed that too.
Be the first to ReplyI have been trying so hard to get into Laser Wolf and once
I have been trying so hard to get into Laser Wolf and once I saw an opening I couldn't pass it up. For starters it's a cute tiny place that makes you feel at home. You will either eat at the chef's counter or at a table. I ate at the chef's counter and it was the best experience. You get to see the staff make all the delicious food and it makes it harder to wait for the food because you want it. All of their food is gluten free except for the pita. So if you have a gluten allergy this is the place for you! Instead of the pita, they gave me vegetables to use while I tried all the salatim. I loved the hummus, the Israeli pickles, and the Brussel sprouts. All of this is complementary and the only thing you pay for is the food from the grill and if you want any alcoholic beverages. Now it was the hardest decision to pick something from the grill menu. Everything sounded incredible but my friend and I decided to eat the lamb and the sirloin. I preferred the lamb because I am sucker for lamb. The lamb was cooked to perfection and it was one of the best lamb I have ever eaten. The steak was also amazing and cooked to perfection. The meal that stole the show was the dessert. You need to leave room for dessert. Trust me it is absolutely incredible! The best dessert I have ever had at a restaurant. At first I was not sure how I was going to feel about it, but I couldn't stop eating it! I wish I could have it every night, that's how amazing it is. Once I started eating it, I couldn't put the spoon down. I highly recommend making a reservation at Laser Wolf because trust me when I say you will not be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazing! I came here for dinner on a Friday
Absolutely amazing! I came here for dinner on a Friday night. First tip make reservations a good amount of time in advance, this place books super fast! We arrived and I absolutely loved the atmosphere! It's very relaxed, great music in the background, and I loved that plants were in old Israeli pickle and pepper containers! Our server immediately brought us water and gave us a great run down of the menu! Another tip, prepare to be in a sharing mood at the restaurant! It's a great place to share and try so many good things! We learned that the Salatim would be free if everyone at the table ordered something from the grill part of the menu. However, you can always make the Salatim your meal itself and they will charge you $21 (absolutely worth it). The food was incredible! Every item on the Salatim was delicious. A few of my favorites were the pickles, broccoli tabbouleh, brussel sprouts, tomato dip, and a sweet potato dip! Pita and hummus also come with the Salatim and the pita is soft, fluffy, and delicious! We tried three of the meats and the 4th grill item we got was shwarma spiced cauliflower (not pictured) but soooo delicious! We were incredibly full at the end, but luckily got to refill some of the Salatim items we loved and pack it to go. I highly recommend coming to check out Laser Wolf, Michael Solomonov did more than amazing with this one!! I'd come back to Philly specifically for this restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing meal at Laser Wolf.
Made a reservation over a month ahead and really not sure what to expect. Was unpretentious, beautiful, flavorful food. Cocktails were decent, food exceptional. Brought my 9 and 13 year old who are adventurous eaters and both loved everything. We did get the fries just as an extra and although I wasn't overly concerned with them they were absolutely delicious. Maybe the best fries I've ever had. Literally nothing was less than awesome.
Be the first to ReplyIt's rare that during a meal I'm so impressed that I'm
It's rare that during a meal I'm so impressed that I'm already looking to book my next reservation back. Did I do that for Laser Wolf? Yes. Will I be back in a month? Also yes.The Laser Wolf menu is super easy to order off of - pick an option from the grill and then everyone gets the same sides (salatim) and dessert. There are plenty of options to mix and match which is super fun for the entire table to play with flavors. Bonus points for Laser Wolf: there are plenty of vegetarian friendly options on the menu (there's also an option for Salatim + Pita only!).Some of my favorites from the Salatim section included: Broccoli Tabbouleh, Turkish Brussel Sprouts, and the Spicy Cabbage & Fennel with Schug. You can get refills on any of these as well as plenty of fresh pita. From the a la carte, we tried the fries with tahini ketchup and I LOVED these. For our entrees, we ordered the BBQ Shortrib and Romanian Beef Kebab (serves two) and we were not disappointed. We left stuffed and with leftovers!Note: I would order a smaller entree next time so that we can enjoy more of the a la carte section.Overall, the restaurant is bustling AND the food was bussin'; volume does get pretty loud when it's full but I'd say that is a good sign as the food is not only tasty but makes for a great communal experience for a date night or with friends.
Be the first to ReplyRegretfully we never had dinner, we tried everything to
Regretfully we never had dinner, we tried everything to secure reservation for my daughter birthday without any success. I can't comment on the food or the ambience but I will say that reservation process was not great and staff we talked to was not very helpful empathetic or even kind.
Be the first to ReplyI had eaten here in summer/fall 2022.
The waiter had on a t shirt and basketball shorts. I get the whole 'hipster' feel they want to add but honestly it was annoying. He also acted overly casual and then scratched his balls right in front of our faces (close to eye level). Needless to say, it was a turnoff but not as much as the food was subpar in contrast to the cost of it. The drinks were pretty good.
Be the first to ReplyHad a great Birthday dinner here with friends.
The service was great (one of the waiters even gave me a to go of the pistachio crunch that came on the dessert bc I loved it so much!) and the food blew us away! The pita was maybe the best I've ever had and it was so fun to try all the salatim!
Be the first to ReplyBest dinning experience I've ever had.

Mind blowing hummus--literally the best hummus I've had!! The pita is so warm and soft, perfect pillowy pockets to scoop the creamy hummus and the mezzo spreads. They sub the vanilla soft serve with the sour cherry if you're lactose. Hack : sour cherry is a bit tart so for the non-Lactose peeps mix the two together :))
