A Must Visit in Philly!
Service was efficient, informative and caring. Atmosphere was upbeat and fun. Best of all though was the OUTSTANDING food. Everything was DELISH! Just wished I lived closer and could easily enjoy it more often!

Friends were in for vacation so my wife and I took them here. They usually ask the concierge at their hotel for the 'best restaurants' in town, which are often anything but. Two months later they still rave about our dinner. First time I was here, and I already have plans to go with another couple next December.

Lovely space, a little loud for me. A short Uber/LYft ride from center city, Kind service. You get a big assortment of marinated veggies and spreads with pita. You can refill this. The baba ghanoush is great. You each order a protein or veggie grilled item. The salmon was well prepared. Then there is a choice of brown sugar soft serve or key lime soft sorbet-both excellent. Figure $50 pp minimum. Good for a small group. An enticing experience but wouldnโt want it weekly.

Words are not enough to describe how amazing our dinner was. I had been trying to get a reservation and finally decided to go and wait. We only had to wait about 20 minutes and sat at the bar, then had an incredible meal. Service was great and we enjoyed everything. if we lived in Philadelphia, we would be there every week.

We had visited the sister restaurant Zahav a few years ago and wanted to try this one out. To say it met expectations is an understatement. Excellent food, superb service, unique cocktails (did not know horseradish tequila existed!). Our servers explained everything we were served especially with the salatim. I had noted on my reservation that it was a birthday celebration and the servers were very considerate of that. Definitely a spot for a special occasion or to expand your palate. Looking forward to visiting again!
Be the first to ReplyEXCEPTIONAL food! EXCEPTIONAL service!
In from out of town and couldnโt get a reservation but showed up anyway hoping we could get a tableโฆ. Lucky for us we did, we are a small party and came early. Anyway the host / manager at the door (Kaley maybe) is LOVELY and was the one who fit us in. And our waiter Ben was AWESOME! Highly highly recommend your coming here, immediately! Ohmygosh the chicken and steak were UNBELIEVABLE, cooked perfectly and the flavor - so so good. The salads were fantastic too. As well as dessert. Yum!

What a pleasure to experience Laser Wolf tonight. Casual environment, tasty cocktails, great service and foods that were over-the-top!! A must when you're in Philly.

We learned of this eatery from watching Somebody Feed Phil. It was one of the most interesting meals weโve ever had. If I were Phil, I would have been at a loss for words to describe the foods in the complimentary meses. Friendly service in a casual setting

Fantastic experience, well worth the wait. This place is in the very cool area of Fishtown. Right now very challenging getting a reservation, ours turned out to be 8:45 on a Monday. It was my 24 yo daughters birthday choice. The atmosphere is open, bright, and friendly. Our server was attentive , but not overbearing, and our food was fantastic. We each ordered something different (party of 4) 3 meat, 1 fish and everyone felt their food was great. One very different and really enjoyable aspect of this meal is how they serve the garnishments. Once you chose your meat, a try of 12 or so sides come on a tray for sharing, placed in the middle of the table. Tasty olive/greenbeans, spicy potatoes, and so on. I really enjoyed and tried all of them. Reasonably priced at $340 for 4 people with 5 drinks including tip. Desert is included in your meal, which is a tasty dish of soft serve ice cream. Foodies rejoice!

Everything we had was amazing. The portions are huge, you will not leave hungry. From the starter platter to the meats, everything so was so good. Definitely recommend the Bulgarian beef kebab and spicy lamb. Great place for family and friends, especially if youโre particularly hungry! Only thing to keep in mind - this place is not cheap. Bill was $300 for 4 and us and we all only had 1 drink. But Iโd have to say, itโs worth it.
Be the first to ReplyLOVED IT - but may want to take a Lyft as parking is very tight - it's Philly
Excellent Service - Food - Ambience - Michael Solomonov - Thank You. Initially had outside reservations. The host was accommodating and we were able to sit inside. Eddie, our Server was terrific. Super outgoing and knowledgeable of all including wines and considerate of any dietary restrictions. In fact, when the Salatim was placed on the table, another Server patiently explained each item. We had the tuna, eggplant, and cauliflower as main entrees. And, dessert was special. BTW - if you can't have dairy. there is a sorbet option. Yes, it's pricey but was well worth it. And, the music playing added to the fun atmosphere.

We were a party of 6 and arrived for our reservation but the table wasnโt ready so had a drink at the bar. We waited around 20+ minutes. They brought us French fries for having to wait which we appreciated!
Once we were seated our waiter explained the menu. Everything was so delicious. It initially didnโt seem like a lot of food, but very deceiving as it was plenty!!It was worth the wait. I canโt wait to return
Only downside is the parking situation๐ฌ
Fabulous Find
Laser Wolf is owned by the same group that owns Zahav in center city. The food is A-MAZING! Basically, you pick your protein, and everything else (the left side of the menu) is included. It's 9 side dishes and pita, that goes along with the protein. Seems like some of the proteins change seasonally - I've had Tuna in the summer, and a whole chicken for two can make an appearance. If you have the option for the whole chicken, take it. Otherwise, the "regular" chicken is fantastic, and the tuna was as well. Really cool vibe inside, but they have outdoor seating as well.
Be the first to ReplyStick with the Salatim
We looked forward to our visit for weeks. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable.
The variety of Salatim was exceptional and all were delicious.
Not so much for the entrees. The portions are very small for the price. The sirloin shishlik and the Romanian beef were small and chewy. The Red Snapper was also a small portion and although tasty, it was dry. All four entrees were crowded onto one serving dish and the cauliflower overwhelmed the other small portions.
The finishing touch, a small dish of soft serve, was a nice ending, but didn't make up for the disappointing entrees.......Stick with the Salatim!
Nice place but definitely not worth the buzz and price.
Salatim plate: Hummus, pita bread and ajvar were excellent. The rest was just average. Our party of 4 took sample menu for $65 per person to try different meats. We got a sample plate (barely enough for 4 people): 1: Moroccan spiced whole baby chicken, like 1.5 lb. - it WAS good but way too little to spit for 4; 4 small thin pieces of lamb with bones - average, strip steak -not good at all, overcooked, dry and chewy, and Romanian beef skewers - good. It was enough food overall but was expecting slightly more. The outside where we sat also just average but what you'd expect in the City, the metal table and chairs, sun was beaming right into our faces from 5 to 7 p.m. - some light shade or plants hanging from the roof would be helpful. Also the metal table wasn't wiped out well - visible dirt or grease stuck between holes there, which wasn't very pleasant to look at. again, overall not bad, but seeing it as one of the best restaurants - definitely exaggerated.
Be the first to ReplyIncredibly fun and delicious.
This place = the best. Off the beaten path location with the beat Israeli food. Another gem by Michael Solomonic with delicious home baked pita, generous salatim, delicious (and large) drinks, wonderful grilled entrees. Each bite exploded with flavor. The wait staff are attentive and fun. The vibe was loud, fun, and exciting - a real happening. Itโs a multi sensory experience and simply amazing. Also, not cheap, but not overpriced since portions are large and everything tastes so good.
Be the first to ReplyThe bread! The lamb! The sauces!
The bread! The lamb! The sauces! YUM. We did the price fox meal for $39. And it did not disappoint. Everything about our dinner at Laser Wolf lived up to the hype. So happy we went!!!! (Also-we had messed up our reservations. Thought it was for the date and time that we showed up. But it wasnโt!! Argh. The hostess was helpful and pleasant about it ... she made no promises. But somehow managed to get us sorted within an hour).
