Good wholesome Italian
Came here late tonight and to our surprise, it was still open after 10.30pm. We had some pappadelle and tagliatelle both with a raging and meat and sausage. It was very tasty with some fried Brussels sprouts in a lovely sauce. The red wine by the glass was a great bonus. The staff were superb.

Be the first to ReplyGREAT ITALIAN
This place was SO GOOD. The best Italian food outside of Italy I’ve had in a while. Everyone should try it :))) we had the rigatoni, tagliatelle and the garganelli pasta with the toscana salad. 10/10 on all the food.

Very friendly staff. Excellent tiramisu. First courses even better. I would definitely stay here again. Polite Margherita Pizza. Rating 8.5
Be the first to ReplyGood place for a early dinner & drink with friends.
Excellent food, pleasant environment, good service. We sat inside where it was noisy, but not too bad. Probably better to go early.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Italian style restaurant
An excellent place that offers a menu of very well cooked Italian dishes. Friendly and professional staff. Nice location. Low prices compared to the city average
Be the first to ReplyOver booked and had to wait a considerable time for our table.
We waited 25 minutes for our table after the agreed booking time. We were offered a table outside but it was a cold night and not where we had booked. It took a further 30 minutes to get our food. Little attention in service.
Be the first to ReplyGood location, but service was just okay.
I visited the La Pecora Bianca on Columbus Avenue, as it is close to the New York Historical Society. We were a group of eight, and we tend to spend well, but the manager and wait staff seemed distressed by having a party "so large.". We had just come from an exhibition at the historical society and wanted to have drinks, snacks, and to talk about the exhibit. The place was just a little more than half-full, but were seated at a table for 8 in a covered outside area, as all the empty tables inside had apparently been reserved. (We did not have a reservation). After about 10 minutes, were asked by the manager to move into two parties of 4 --and not sit together. He claimed this was a policy of the restaurant to not seat a party so large at a single table sue to fire safety and separated us. It was disappointing, but we agreed. When the waiter arrived, he announced that the kitchen would close in 15 minute and we had to order immediately. It was a Sunday at about 3 p .m. and the kitchen actually closes at 10pm. (It turns out his shift was ending and he wanted us to rush). Little things like this -- not being able to sit together, being given false information, being rushed -- made it a just-okay experience. We did not order food, but had drinks and wine. Overall, they do not seem prepared for drops-ins and seemed overwhelmed by a part of 8 --so if you really want to eat here, I'd call ahead. By the way -- a party of 8 is a good thing.

Dinner with wife, granddaughter and her boyfriend. Busy but seated promptly with a reservation. Very noisy. Crowded with tables close together. Limited menu. Three of us had pasta dishes and one had Branzino fish. Food was tasty. Portion sizes did not justify pricing. $6.00 additional to add Burrata cheese on top of pasta. Nothing outstanding.

Room gets too noisy at dinner time. My pasta dish was so-so. I would try again at lunch and order something else. Restrooms are downstairs
Be the first to ReplyDelicious!!!!
Wandered in with the family while strolling through NYC. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Whipped ricotta flavored with truffle honey and a hint of lemon on toast disappeared as soon as it arrived. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Cacio e Pepe along with Bucatini with mushroom was the table favorite. We walked in at 11:30 w/o reservation on a weekday and the place was PACKED! It was only yesterday and I am already nostalgic for the meal!

We honestly had the best experience. The food was superb and the service was even better. My husband, yes my husband, not one of my 3 children under 10, shattered a glass by accident. They immediately came over cleaned it up and moved us to a new table AND reordered our entrees for us. They were so kind and patient. Will be back there ASAP.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dinner with Friends!
Visited this restaurant with friends a few days ago and can only say positive things. We ordered some wine, the Zucchini fries and some pastas and everything was very nice. Big shoutout to Enrique who was very attentive and very kind throughout the dinner, and gave great recommendations. The atmosphere was very good with the restaurante being close to full. Highly recommend the restaurant and they’ve definitely earned a new customer.

we had just walked the High-Line and felt hungry so just popped in on the off chance as it was a beautiful sunny Sunday in NYC. Fortunately we arrived before the Sunday rush so got a table for two by the window. We enjoyed the food, plentiful and the service was friendly. The restaurant is obviously popular as soon it was humming, all tables full. Well worth a visit
Be the first to ReplyA Very Pleasant Surprise!
We we very hungry after leaving the Whitney following a two plus hour visit and it was raining…so, when we spotted La Pecora Bianca across the street from the Museum, after peering in the windows and being enticed, we gambled. Usually, dining close to a tourist attraction is not a smart idea. In this case, we lucked out. The ambiance and staff were both warm and the menu was perfect. The “Brussels Salad” was exceptional…simple, but perfect, with all the right ingredients: shaved sprouts, pickled raisins, sunflower seeds and Parmesan, a perfect lead-in to a very good tagliatelle Bolognese! People-watching from our catbird seats at the bar was also a treat. And all with a simple but rewarding wine list! The experience was delightful!

La Pecora Bianca is the White Sheep restaurant. Near to the High Line and a very enjoyable place to have lunch. Food good.

The name translates to the white sheep but perhaps it should be the black sheep as this gem really stands out . A little deceptive from the street as to the size but the restaurant expands into a spacious comfortable setting with a very cozy vibe.
Ample staff buzzing around everywhere provides for great service.
The food was superb .
My pasta dish was with spicy sausage , broccolini and chilli flakes. A perfectly balanced dish. The broccolini provided the crunchy texture needed and the hint of chilli left my mouth singing .
A small but select wine list and both food and wine moderately priced.
This is a winner , we loved it and will be rebooking before our holiday is over
Good Italian in Nomad
We were able to score a table Saturday night when the city seems to be maxed out for eating. Yep - we had our very own "heated booth' outside when it was 11 degrees F. It wasn't so warm or so great to spend $300 for 2 people sitting on cold chairs with our coats on. But we signed up for it. The waiter was pleasant given the cold. The helper staff were on top of taking dirty plates despite the chill. Our fish and pasta were very good. I would try it again when I know I could eat inside. It looked very cute when we walked through to be led outdoors:)

We chose this restaurant based upon its location across from Bryant Park where we were on a cold afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised by the upbeat decor of light colored wood and plenty of light. The service was excellent, the food was very good, and the prices were reasonable. We mainly had appetizers, fish and pasta. The Local Burrata and roasted cauliflower were excellent. The tiramisu desert is enough for several guests. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

Delicious food, adorable ambiance, and lovely service. Looking forward to a return visit next time we're in town.
Be the first to ReplyQuality,Flavorful Italian Cuisine
I really enjoyed the food and ambiance at La Pecora Bianca. I went in with a group of friends (8 persons) and I was happy that they were able to accommodate us without a reservation, since they restaurant seemed pretty full.
The food was outstanding, very flavorful and definitely worth the price. The waiter who served us was very patient and attentive when taking our orders. The food came at the right time and we were not rushed to finish our meals. I can't wait to return to try other items on the menu.
Great pasta, cool atmosphere
Excellent home made pasta. Very delicious.
Fresh ingredients. The appetizers are not much but for sure cooked with care.

Rudest service in town, avoid for special occasions
Staff was incredibly rude and moved us after ordering entrees, main dishes, desserts and drinks. We were here for my mom’s birthday and a server by the name of Margie was incredibly rude. Do not go here for a special occasion.
We were still consuming and she came to not even offer another seating arrangement, but simply asked us to leave or move the bar which was impractical with my 77 year old grandmother.
Margie was inconsiderate, rude, and simply disrespectful. Thank you very much for ruining my mother’s birthday :) .
