Disappointed
Disappointed is what most characterizes our experience. Overpriced menu so we are in Megeve it’s true but this is too much. We didn't rediscover the taste of all the elements we expected to eat, too many flavors in each dish, we couldn't relate. The meal was good, but these combinations of flavors were not to our taste. Nothing to say about the service and the place is very nice.

Despite a magnificent setting, this restaurant does not live up to the reputation of Anne-Sophie Pic. Restaurant open 4 months a year, so the staff is made up of seasonal workers. Is it the same for the leader and his brigade? I think so because this dinner did not live up to our expectations, except for the quality and cooking of the meat as well as the advice of the sommelier. We left disappointed.

We were really disappointed in our experience here in several different aspects. The atmosphere felt very similar to a board room - sterile, stuffy, brightly lit, and un-cozy. Though they offer a tasting menu, we were told that we could order a la carte instead. We were still effectively charged for the entire five course tasting menu, despite ordering only two courses. This felt quite dishonest. The food itself involved quite a lot of floral notes - rose, chamomile, etc. The result was a soapy flavor in nearly everything we tried. Overall we were quite unhappy with our meal here - from the environment, service, and food - and do not recommend it to other guests.

I thoroughly enjoyed Pic in Valence, and would rate my lunch there among the best ever. And although I cannot fault her restaurant in Megeve it was neither memorable nor a “découverte”. The food was very good and so was the service but the menu was extremely limited and one of the only 2 appetizers on offer demanded a €50 supplement! And you had to have that one. The decoration was nothing special and with wine (nothing extravagant) you finish at over €400 a head. It’s just not worth it.

A lovely setting with fabulous staff. The canapés and amuse bouche were just incredible. After that it became mixed. The Berlingots (2022 summer edition) were not good at all. The cheese inside was too strong and the absinthe added to the tomato made the whole dish bitter. The London ones were much better (maybe why London has 2 stars and Megeve 1 star). The pastry chef prides himself on using little sugar. That's totally fine but the desserts were unbalanced and overly sharp. Again London desserts much better. The Lamb dish was just ok - I would give it a Michelin Plate, not a star. Petit fours were excellent. Finally we were charged 18 euros per bottle of still water. No issue paying 600 euros for dinner but 18 euros for a 750ml bottle of water is exploiting your customers. May return next year to see if they have got any better.

Amazing dinner with great signature dishes. The peas tart and the fera were delicious and so was the ombre chevalier. The chef Alexandre and the team are just a delight and having a great team in the dining room was truly part of this unique experience. We had loved Valence three years ago and wanted to try Megeve and even there is one star vs 3 in Valence and it is a bit high priced, the set up, the view and Four Seasons standing make up for the difference. The Beaufort berlingot are a great way to revisit the berlingot, the white trompe l œil millefeuille was fresh and inventive. We had a great time and service was really perfect. The sommelier was great, so was Sammy who made sure everything was really to our liking. I would absolutely go back next time.
