Absolutely amazing! Stumbled onto this place and wow, just wow. All the dishes we ordered were amazing esp the takoyaki, octopus and yuzu pie. It is a Brooklyn gem. I highly recommend eating here. Service is 5/5, decor is cute too with a lot of cute art

Cute new spot in the neighborhood with great vibes and good service. We sat outside which was super cute and it was a pleasant night. Very roomy table too!We didn't order drinks but did order some food.We started with the chicken bao which was fried perfectly and had great companions with a nice sauce to top. (1 bao included in order).Next we had the tuna nachos. The tuna was very fresh and bright. The spicy mayo gave it a great compliment and kick and the chips were a perfect crunchy. Overall we really enjoyed these, wish there was slightly more tuna.Lastly we had the mixed seafood ceviche which was very good, very fresh and refreshing and hit the spot. It's a small menu but they make everything well that we tried and we will be back to try more!

The aji de gallina was a bit on the bland and dry side, the shredded chicken were probably over cooked. It was creamy nonetheless but I think it could've been improved with a bit more seasoning and if the chicken was a bit juicier. The hotate was incredibly flavorful and grilled nicely; it paired perfectly with the rice that accompanied the aji de gallina! Definitely a new twist of Japanese-Peruvian cuisine that you probably can't find elsewhere, so give them a try! Thank you for reading and good luck (:

Had high expectations looking at the reviews and the menu online. We made a reservation for three at the backyard via Resy, but strangely when we reached the restaurant they could not find it in their system. It does happen, so we requested if we could still get a place at their back yard. Though the backyard was quite empty and the next scheduled reservation was after 90 mins, they didn't really accommodate. I focus a lot on customer service and this was definitely a put off.We ordered sake and beer, the sake pour was super generous and we were pleasantly surprised. They have fun bar food options; we loved maitake bao and tuna ceviche. What stood out for me was tuna nachos. I have never had something like this before and we thoroughly enjoyed.it's a cute fun bar with delicious food options though not enough to keep you for long.

.. was the service. Had a reservation at 7pm on a saturday, and the restaurant was almost empty. We received both appetizers before our cocktails even though drinks were ordered 10 minutes before apps. A shame, because everything we had was great. Waitresses had to be flagged down to bring their attention. Soap dispenser in the bathroom was filled with water and sprayed all over my boyfriends shirt as well as his eye, making him uncomfortable the rest of our stay. Ended up only ordering appetizers and then asking for the bill because of the bathroom situation and service. Hope to try this place again in the future to have a better experience.

My girl and I stumbled in here late one night for a snack and were blown away. Since then we've been coming back fairly regularly. The fusion between Peruvian and Japanese food is simply *chefs kiss*. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The cocktails are also always great and the music selection never disappoints. They recently opened their backyard and it's a perfect little refuge from the hustle and bustle of brooklyn. On top of all that the staff and owners are the nicest and most accommodating people always, no matter what time of day you come in. 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone, as they have something for everyone.

This is a lowkey aesthetic spot for food and drinks, with a Japanese Peruvian fusion twist. However to clarify they are not open at 4p as stated on some sites and open at 5pm, nor do they have happy hour. We had trekked all the way out here to have to wait, come back and not have any happy hour options although the sign says otherwise.Recent reviews here show great happy hour options but perhaps not on a Friday. The full price drinks were amazing and the octopus dish was delicious. However the aji de gallina was underwhelming at best and confusing with very tasteless chicken in a yellow sauce with a small bowl of rice. I think this place has so much potential and would love to come back.

All the food and drinks I've tried have been delicious, the happy hour is one of the best in BK, and the place is super cute! I'm excited to hang in the newly opened backyard!! Awesome addition to Williamsburg

Koko's the spot for great times with friends.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service through the whole night in an aesthetic place.
The food was alright and drinks were meh as well. The concepts were interesting but the combinations didn't pair well. The small portion sizes are great if you just want snacks while you drink!

The first hot day of the year, I decided to take the family out to eat. We settled on Koko and that was the best decision. We got theee at 6 "Happy Hour" I order one of everything off the Happy Hour menu. The "Nikkel Takoyaki" had a nice surprise in the middle, octopus. The "Koko Nachos" the chips are crispy and the tuna tartar were fresh and nice. I had the "Maitake Bao"and everyone else had the "Pollo Bao"- soft, fulling and fresh. The servicer and cooks were friendly and helpful. Koko is a must go.

Food is delicious but it's expensive! Atmosphere is clean & cute, very hip vibes. It's dimly lit & there's twinkly lights, the whole place is gorgeous! There's also music & a projector playing miyazaki films but it's not so loud you can't hear each other. Drinks are fantastic as well! Perfect spot for a date night or a happy hour with friends. My one thing is that when we ordered takoyaki we got literally one single ball. So just know that it's pretty delicious, but expensive for each thing.
Be the first to ReplyA neighborhood gem! Great place to come for tapas & drinks.
Great for a fun date or to chill with friends. Love the fusion of the menu. The cocktails were 10/10, the ambiance is vibey. Love love love this spot.

As the reviewers Vito and Damaris say below, this is an amazing restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was excellent. Even better: everything is made with potato flour (in lieu of regular wheat flour) making it safe for us gluten free folks. I cannot wait to go again.

The food at the amazing venue is only matched by the decor and amazing hospitality of the crew. The food was daring and delicious, each dish more spectacular than the next! We kept asking for recommendations and nothing disappointed. By the time we left our party of 8 had ordered the entire menu (I strongly suggest you do the same). We walked in strangers and left with new friends, full bellies and plans to return!
Be the first to ReplyNice Peruvian cocktail bar plus some fun Peruvian tapas.
Could order 1 of everything! Cocktails were great and carefully crafted. Machu pisco was my favorite served in a beer can. Wagyu was also good ! Never thought a cocktail with a umami flavor could be so good. Food was tasty. This place is just plain fun ! You have to try it.

Super friendly staff. Incredibly fresh food and delicious. Awesome and unique cocktails as well as a full bar. The art work is really cool. They have DJ's sometimes too which is always fun. Highly recommend. Prices are so good you can get one of everything or at least one item from each category! YUM.
Be the first to ReplyMy experience at Koko's was mesmerizing.
This is a Nikkei Peruvian place that has very tasty dishes, I really like the Chicken bao, the ceviche carretillero is to die for. I'm Peruvian, and my struggle is to find a right ceviche when I go to Peruvian places, 10/10 points. Drinks are creative with a lot of flavors. We tried the pisco sour with roasted shishito which have an impressive presentation and right pisco sour flavor. Not to sweet not to acidic. I really like the art on the walls, It reflects the Peruvian-Japanese culture. Waiter was very informative and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. great experience. See you soon, Koko's.
