Great service and fine food. I won't ruin the surprise, but you will enjoy the little moments of true hospitality. Highly recommend.

Our reservation was on the early side, but the place was packed at humming even at that hour. We asked to be moved to the bar so as to be more comfortable which they accommodated (although it appeared that we had kicked the owner out of the seat!). The complimentary shot of prosecco and bruschetta were a neat introductory treat. My dining companion enjoyed the pappardelle ragu ($30) which was of Goldilocks proportions - not too big, not too small. My selection had to be significantly altered to fit within my dietary restrictions, which they did. Complimentary vegan cookies arrived with the bill. Prices are steep, but there is good value in them. One quibble: ten cents for a side order of bread is chintzy, non? Breezy service, lively atmosphere and garden-accented décor, as is to be expected. You get a view of the kitchen workings if you sit at the bar. Parking is in the back. Patio in the summer.

Went to Ivy Ristorante for my anniversary dinner which my wife and I are vegan and needless to say we were not disappointed. The server was amazing and knowledgeable and the food was to die for absolutely the best vegan menu we have ever tried and the atmosphere was romantic. We had a fantastic meal and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend for my fellow vegans out there looking for a amazing menu and the absolute best desserts which they have a few options that is unheard of.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely one of the best Ristorantes in London.
Celebrated a family member's birthday and graduations here. Setting is lovely, we were inside, a party of 10. Hospitality and service was excellent . Our server Dana was a true gem, pleasant, knowledgeable , attentive and efficient. The group enjoyed many of the options from the menu, the Caesar salad - delicious , the soup of the day - really tasty, the Brie in puff pastry - mouth watering great, entrees of Salmon, Seafood Paella, the Cornish hen, the Tortellini, the Steak, the Seafood Linguine, the Gnocchi, and the Risotto . Every dish was prepared to perfection, quantities were substantial and each dish elegantly presented. Compliments all around to the talented kitchen staff who prepared the feast!Highly recommend The Ivy for an exceptionally fine dining experience. The initial Prosecco and Bruschetta was an appreciated introduction to a special evening and capped with a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie at the end, really nice touches! Thank You!

Amazing flavours, beautiful presentation, great portion sizes, and super-helpful staff. We ate on the patio which was also very nicely set up. I had the Caesar salad and the gnocchi. I added a couple of scallops to the salad. Everything was perfect.

I didn't have the highest hopes for a restaurant tucked away on the busy corner of Oxford and Adelaide. But Ivy may be a hidden gem London sorely needs. Two words to describe it? True hospitality.Parking in the back is plentiful and the patio is in the rear of the building so street noise is muffled quite a bit. A fountain helps keep the sound at bay and adds a serene touch to the atmosphere. They think of everything here. Our server was prompt, kind and fun. Right away we were served a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was a nice touch. The bread came with a bruschetta to put on top and it was delightful. They have a large wine list and lots of cocktails and some local beer options. I chose a mojito and it was refreshing and delicious. Even the ice cubes had a twist of lemon embedded into them. It's all about little details! We ordered the mussels, chicken parm and Chianti lamb ragu. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We left room for dessert and got the Baileys tiramisu and New York style cheese cake. The cheese cake had a perfect light and fluffy texture, just sweet enough with a beautiful berry sauce to accompany it. The tiramisu was creamy, smooth and not too rich. The coffee we ordered was bold and flavourful. To cap off our night, our server brought the bill and warm chocolate chip cookies packed up in a doggie bag.Sure, it's been a short while since dining out has been back out of lockdown but I honestly cannot remember the last meal I've had at a restaurant where such care and thought has gone into the experience. If you are looking for a relaxing, romantic and delicious meal please head to this little hideaway just outside of downtown.

Fresh homemade pasta, great portions, lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. They even give you a couple complimentary goodies. Will be back as soon as lock down is over Definitely recommend. Probably one of my all time favorite restaurants I've been to.
Be the first to ReplySo disappointed.
I booked a table via OpenTable for Saturday at 8:30. Arrived at the restaurant and they knew of my reservation however, I was told they attempted to call me twice to confirm and left voice messages (which I never received). Because they didn't hear from me, they didn't reserve my table. To me, booking the reservation IS the confirmation...Because it was late, we live in Toronto and didn't know what our nearby options were, we were forced to eat at the bar. It was their anniversary so they were doing a fixed preset menu. It offered 10-11 courses or so. It started off good with the salads but then the next 3 courses were pasta dishes. The noodles were a bit overcooked and all 3 dishes were cold. The one star is a bit offensive, I admit, but the restaurant deserves it from my experience. The one individual that does not is the bartender who was forced to serve us. He overheard the situation and immediately upon us sitting down, he provided us with a complimentary glass of champagne and at the end of the evening, gave us a complimentary after dinner cocktail. He was nice, interactive without being too overbearing and he deserves a 5 star as a solo individual. Moral of the story: be sure to confirm your confirmed reservation with the restaurant or you may not have a place to eat.

My wife and her book club had dined just after they opened and enjoyed so a last minute change in our schedule a couple of weeks later found us stopping in for dinner. The place was pretty empty when we rolled in but shortly after we were seated it filled up quite quickly (around 7 p.m.).Now given how new they were I expected some hiccups with service and they were few and far between. Our food was was very good (seafood plate for my wife) and my short ribs were done very nicely with heaps of flavour. We did like the ambience and for a newly opened spot they delivered above expectations. We will certainly be back to give them another try in the future.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambiance.
The server was great. Our apps were good, but our dinner seemed to take an hour to come. We waited a long time to be extremely disappointed. My pasta was hard and burnt alone with the oil based sauce it was in. My husbands salmon was slapped on risotto and covered in some kind of green stuff. Looked like it could have been played by a toddler. It was not cooked very well. When you spend over $200 on dinner, you expect a certain level of quality. I don't feel we received this here. Our reservation was at 6:30, we didn't leave until 9. Not because we were enjoying coffee and chatting. Because our entrees took wayyy too long. Too bad. I had high hopes for this experience. Not sure I would spend that much money to try it again.
Be the first to ReplyPoor quality food.
We won't be back. Very pretentious and does not deliver what you would expect for the price.
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered cocktails first, when those were brought, they
We ordered cocktails first, when those were brought, they took a wine order for dinner, and we ordered a bottle, which they immediately brought and poured, so now we have two drinks on the go. To make it worse, they then brought our apps, before cocktails were even done! Nothing like enjoying your Manhattan with an Arugula salad... I didn't eat mine as I wanted to finish my cocktail without eating at the same time, which is bizarre, as best. My partner did eat hers, and someone came by, took her plate and then asked if I was done! I had barely started. Then the mains came. This was all within 30 minutes. I got a bit rude with the server at this point and told him that we felt rushed etc, and he was gracious, and it turned out he was the owner, Mike, and was not our initial server (who didn't seem very experienced). After this point everything unfolded at a more expected pace, and the overall experience was good, though based on food alone it would have been excellent. I will go back, but this was a $250 dollar dinner, and at that price one should not be rushed. I would also recommend to others, and expect that this experience was more about the growing pains of a new restaurant, rather than something that will prove to be systemic. Here's to hoping!
