On the see and be seen courtyard of all the designers you have and haven't heard of, this place fits in. There is a real Japanese-Peruvian food connection (ie Nobu) with both giving a lot of space to raw seafood in various forms.
If you are open-minded there are some good dishes, but if you are expecting traditional Japanese, despite the name, this isn't your place. Unfortunately for us, we started with the best dishes, tiraditos in very interesting presentations and were very impressed.
Next was a ceviche: very generous portion, but fish overwhelmed by the peppers. Although we have no aversion to spicy, it detracted in this case. Worst for last, a mash-up of cooked scallops in a parmesan cream sauce over sushi rolls. Well, we gave it a shot....
Small menu seems to change often. Very kind young server on her third day who was really present. Expensive.
