Excellent Cajun/creole inspired fine dining
Did the tasting menu. Outstanding food and service Set at the bar while the food was being prepared. Well run kitchen. Memorable dishes. Hirorachi Peanut soup and goat. Loved banana foster prepared in front of you to cap off the evening
Well though wine pairing that included a Marsala wine and vermouth Highly recommend this current chef
Creative and Tasty
Manresa at Intersect is very good. The food is both creative and tasty. It was the best of the many chefs that have cooked at Intersect. Everything was good, including the service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for lunch or dinner
I have been to this restaurant three times, each time under the direction of a different chef. Tomas Kalika, an Israeli via Buenos Aires is not up to the standards of the previous three, but good, none-the-less. The Mishiguene menu is interesting and flavorful. Some dishes are better than others. The pastrami sandwich on challah was okay as was the chicken and tongue, but not standouts on the lunch menu. The babaganoush, however, was outstanding. Service here is impeccable. The setting is beautiful and interesting. This is an ideal spot for lunch or dinner.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible Food, Service & Ambiance
We decided to try this restaurant since it’s a part of Lexus owners perks. We were really not sure what to expect. After having our lunch here, we can stay with certainty that this establishment rivals many fine dining restaurants!
The level of service is excellent with extremely attentive staff. We had lunch here on the 29th of November with dishes from Mishiguene. All of the dishes we ordered were excellent. The decor is very modern with Japanese elements throughout. We also tried the cafe downstairs and the lattes they prepared were some of the best we have had in the city. We would strongly recommend this restaurant!
Do checkout the restrooms as they come
equipped with high end “Japanese Washlets.” You would feel refreshed!
ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT! DECORATION IS UNIQUE! WAITRESS IS FRIENDLY!
The service is totally opposite from Intersect by Lexus in Tokyo. This restaurant is much more friendly than Intersect by Lexus in Tokyo. The atmosphere is great. The coffee bar, lounge, bar, and restroom areas are the MUST visit......great looking. Very cool decoration!
Food is well decorated and good.
Bold restaurant bringing flavors from around the world.
For my second visit to Intersect by Lexus we had the menu from Mishiguene. Their booking team was kind enough to help us change our table seats to counter seats which I fully recommend for any party of two for an awesome glimpse at the awesome work the chefs do.
Service like always was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was not my favorite meal of the two visits I've had at intersect but offered bold rich flavors, perhaps a little too rich. The bobaganoush was tasty but perhaps a little heavy. The cigar dish was good though with a nice smokiness and texture. The pastrami which was a hefty piece of meat that was wonderfully smokey, but also a bit rich, though I didn't mind it in this course.
One thing to note though, the food might have been a little too saucy as cutting into each with the same utensils and plates contaminates the next dish a little bit.
The desserts we had were both very good, our favorite being the baklava.
All in all if it was just the food from this menu I'd give it 4 stars, however taking in account the last menu and the fun idea of it's rotating resident chef, I'd give it five, as it brings a menu I might never have gotten to try otherwise.
Has had incredible reviews so expectations were high
This upper class restaurant is located in the Meatpacking area, and is an interesting combination of LEXUS car branding and up market dining.
You enter from the streets and go up some stairs to the sleek bar, which leads to a modern, shiny dining room.
There is a bar with seating which was where we sat- a fabulous place to observe food being made and dishes being plated.
The night we were there a highly dedicated Asian chef with neat hair braids who was pleasantly obsessed with attention to detail and a delight to watch.
The crowd is well heeled and fabulously dressed.
Food is marketed as Jewish- we were intrigued.
The chef in residence is visiting from his restaurant Mishiguene (which means crazy in Yiddish) in Buenos Aires, known as the best Jewish restaurant in Argentina.
Having been there, I was looking for meat cuts and fresh vegetarian dishes. They didn’t exist.
The menu for this pop up was complex -really difficult o ascertain what we were actually ordering, and therefore felt hit and miss.
The cocktail list however is impressive with creative drinks to suit any pallette, and the wine list is excellent.
Lots of Argentinian reds which is to be expected.
A complimentary bread basket had white, warm bread (sorry, but who eats white bread any more in high end restaurants?)And two seeded slices - much better.
The accompanying onion spread was so rich it was almost inedible, and almost tasteless. Some smoked, salted or even plain butter would have been better for me.
The gel filter fish was three generous sizes of fish roll with trout roe and vegetables. Artistically presented-I lone fish but it was too rich -I think it was the trout roe. I had one bite.
The Frois Gras was cooked in a rich sauce and tasty but super heavy. Again just so rich.
The kibbeh was the best dish we had, and consisted of beef and bulgare tartare, labneh, tomato coulis and spicy crackers.
A glance at the huge short rib leaving the kitchen and my appetite for any more rich, over the top dishes was gone.
Instead we ordered the beetroot dessert which was outstanding.
So all in all, an exceptional dining room. Staff who on the whole were attentive with one exception.
Excellent drinks but a menu that wasn’t overly palletable, at least for us.
WOW
Now of course it depends on who the pop up chef is but our experience was amazing with an Israeli chef from Buenos Aires. Food was spectacular and a wonderful environment and friendly professional staff.
Be the first to ReplyElegant bar with a beautiful vibe.
We had a beautiful experience here. Lovely cocktails served in the most unusually shaped glasses. Service was outstanding by a very efficient and very friendly server Camille. The fried chicken is delicious and the ceviche is fresh and flavorful. The drinks are potent and delicious and it is a treat to watch the bartenders diligently prepare the cocktails behind the bar.
It is a very cool place and if you happen to visit during an art installation, it is a must see.
Do check out the cool bathrooms.
