Ingas Bar Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
Had a lovely birthday dinner at Ingas Bar.
Food was amazing as was the service. 3 courses of some of the most delicious food in the city. Thank you for making my birthday so special. Special shout out to Chef Eddie for the killer recommendations. Until next time.

We hosted dinner with our families at Ingas after getting married at City Hall in Brooklyn this past Friday. Their private dining room is beautiful and it was a really special place to get together with our closest friends and family. Their cocktails and wine choices were amazing, every item on the menu was delicious and they even honored my request to end a great meal with their blackout cake, my favorite. Edgar and the staff helping out that night were so friendly and attentive. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate! Thanks to everyone at Ingas for such a special meal!
Remember the space from Jack the Horse.
It still has a similar but lighter feel. We got there early which was perfect because it definitely fills up. The service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Everything we had was delicious - pickle plate, artichokes, pappardelle and arctic char. Portions are on the smaller side so the plates were practically licked clean. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes, especially as the menu changes seasonally.
obsessed with the burger.
perfect dirty martini. love the staff and could mainline their french fries.
Wow! My old hood is stepping up its game with this place!!
Wow! My old hood is stepping up its game with this place!! if you haven't been to Inga, yet, I recommend you try it immediately. Especially if you live in or around Brooklyn Heights. It's in the building that used to house the restaurant Jack the Horse Tavern. Everything we tried on our first visit there was off the chain. The two standouts for me, however, had to be the Victor Salad and the Mortadella. The Victor Salad's star ingredient is celery--sounds crazy for a salad, right? But, whoah!! The celery is actually boiled in vegetable broth until soft and then placed along side other ingredients such as greens, Parmesan, and anchovies. It's unbelievable!! Oh, and that Mortadella--creamy, succulent, and just brilliant. As for mains, try the cheeseburger! Nom!! Since converting over to Ingas, the interior aesthetic didn't change much--it's still dark, quaint and perfect for a date night. But they did reorganize the interior footprint a bit, so it seems a tad more spacious. Finally, I'll send a final shout out to Ingas for the service, which was perfection!! Try this place soon! You will not be disappointed.
Great spot with warm vibes.
Good for a nice/upscale-feeling, but also comfortable date night. Excellent and interesting wines by the glass. Food is delicious, and reasonably priced. Staff know the food and drinks well, and make helpful recommendations.
Inga's may have been here for over a year already, but I'm
Inga's may have been here for over a year already, but I'm somehow just checking out this successor to one of my favorite spots in this part of Brooklyn: Jack the Horse Tavern. (Only old people recall the businesses of yesteryear, and this is fitting because I turned old recently). And I'm glad I did. The room and crowd is just as convivial as it once was, the service is outstanding, and the cocktails are well-balanced and delicious (although I think they could use better ice). We liked the Modern Romance, and they know their way around the classics as well. The food is executed very well. Anyone can find something they like on this menu (including the excellent burger), but there's also some avant garde twists. I'd never heard of the Celery Victor before, but I really enjoyed the weird and wonderful braised celery salad, topped with mustard seeds and chunks of cheese. We started with that, a fluke crudo, and the fried deviled egg, topped high with bacalao and some trout roe. (I was more into it than she was.) As far as mains are concerned, the pork chop is outstanding, with charred onion jam rounding out the whole dish, and the halibut with its mushroom broth and parsnip puree is probably my favorite bite, although it was a laughably small portion for $35. And therein lies the rub. I know we're in Brooklyn Heights. I know there are $12 million dollar brownstones down the street. But if you're going to charge these prices ($14 for two deviled eggs that were a bit too fishy?), everything needs to fantastic. Again, I'm an old man, but dinner for two should only be $250 if everything lives up to that price point. Then again, the room was quite full on a Friday, so maybe I'm off. Perhaps a few celebrity sightings had to do with that. I like it, but for me, the prices push it into special occasion territory, when it's actually a neighborhood restaurant.
I am so happy my friend introduced me to this place.
The ambiance is casual but very cute. And the food was really fantastic. I am a sucker for a great salad, but the burger was really great too.
The service here is exceptional, and every dish we tried
The service here is exceptional, and every dish we tried was incredibly delicious, exceeding our expectations. The ambiance of the place is both cozy and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am definitely looking forward to returning in the near future.
This restaurant is physically very lovely.
However, it is the loudest restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of eating at. My wife and I could not hear one another unless we leaned over the table. In addition, the area where we were seated was so dark we literally could not see what we were eating although it did taste good. I was also disappointed in the single glass wine list which was not only limited, but were virtually tasteless. With so many good restaurant in Brooklyn we will not be going back to Inga's.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
