Finally tried this much talked about indian place ! Glad
Finally tried this much talked about indian place ! Glad both me and my friend were starving and were so ready to order and get started! We arrived at 5:30pm without any reservations and were the only one there for the next 15 min but soon it started getting super busy. Benarasi chaat - great start!! Unlike typical chaats, the tamarind chutney wasn't sweet and savory, it was hardly sweet. Not a complaint but it was different than what I was expecting. Great nevertheless! Rajma kebab- loved these! Soft and tender , slightly garnished with beetroot and some chutneys. Bhatti special daal - as expected, it was creamy and full of texture!! I would not say it was the best one but surely a great taste! Mixed vegetables- surprisingly, I loved this one the most! None of the dishes were super spicy but mild and flavorful! I'm so happy I finally tried this place!

I thought this was a great spot! The paneer and chili Gobi appetizers were absolutely excellent, and the chicken tikka masala was decent. It felt a little like we had to get the servers' attention a couple times but overall had a good experience. I'd go again!

I've only ordered takeout from here - we ordered the lamb kebabs and bhuna gosht with tandoor roti. Food was pretty decent will definitely order from here again.

Amongst the very average Indian food around the city, this place is a better option between fine dining and your average Indian place. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good, satisfying meal.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my new favorite Indian restaurant.
Walked in for Sunday lunch with no reservation and was seated quickly. Very clean & overall good vibes. Got the paneer tikka, chili gobhi, palak paneer and anjeer malai kofta. The entrees do not come with rice, so it has to be ordered separately (one was good for 3 people, but we also got naan). The garlic naan has the perfect crisp to chewy ratio and was absolutely delicious. Everything was very flavorful. There is definitely a spicy kick in every dish so be cautious if you can't handle any spice.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The service was notably lacking - the servers were short and not particularly welcoming, which impacted the overall atmosphere. Moreover, the highlight of any Indian restaurant should be its signature dishes. Regrettably, the chicken tikka masala, a dish I usually enjoy, did not live up to expectations. The flavor profile leaned heavily towards sweetness, deviating from the balanced and savory taste I anticipated. Adding to the disappointment was the pricing; it felt disproportionately high for the quality of the food and service received. If you're looking for good Indian in the area, I would recommend Sathi.

Be the first to ReplyI am here right now and I am very impressed.
I'm British and find American Indian places to be pretty poor. Not this one. Excellent red bean kebabs, excellent chicken chettinard, excellent zesty lemon rice. Poppadums are crisp without being burnt or oily. Mango chutney tastes home made. Excellent efficient service
Be the first to ReplyBhatti earns a solid 4/5 rating.
The staff is warm, the ambiance lively, and the food a treat. The rampuri kebab, though a tad salty, shines with lemon and raita. The bansari chaat is great, and the bhatti daal is tasty but slightly undercooked. The laccha paratha is the perfect accompaniment. For Indian cuisine enthusiasts, Bhatti is a must-visit.

I had the vegetable biryani and the lamb naan, and both were excellent in my opinion. At outside, which was nice, but the indoor vibe seemed very energetic/ and lively. Would definitely return!

I'm pretty disappointed, I think the quality is lacking compared to what it used to be. I ordered the saag paneer which was so salty it was almost inedible, the butter chicken also had way too much cardamom in it and it overpowered the whole dish. I did enjoy the chaat, that was what made me give this 2 stars. Even the garlic naan wasn't that garlicky lol I've had better Indian food at Trader Joe's

Came here on a Tuesday evening with a reservation and were seated immediately. It's a pretty small place so if you want indoor seating, I would definitely recommend making a reservation. Here's what we got: Chili Gobi - really good! Not as spicy as you would think but has a decent kick! I was a really unique flavor I would say and was pretty good Saag Paneer - really yummy! Not usually a big fan of saag but this was really good, would recommend! Malai Kofta - this I would pass on. The gravy was decent but definitely on the sweeter side. I wasn't a big fan of the kofta, was kind of bland and just sweet. Overall, this is a decent place to get indian food. Nothing out of this world but definitely will satisfy your indian food craving!
Be the first to ReplyNot everything is equally good.
Service can be unsmiling and patchy, and very often there is a long wait for a cramped table. Yet, what Bhatti does well - it does better than almost any other Indian restaurant on the East coast. The kababs are incredible - like the Bhatti da murgh and (very spicy) Bullet chili kebab. One of the few Indian restaurants (outside India) that makes a decent biryani. The curry dishes (like Butter chicken) are good enough to be served at a Delhi dhaba. Stay away from the Paneer tikka though. The naans aren't that great either. I don't like the waits and the bumping into neighboring diners, but where else can you get such authentic North Indian food in the tristate area?
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I ordered Chicken Tikki Marcela.
Where we live we CANNOT find great Indian food!! ( frustrating) So we I know where Bhatti is and they tell us we're closing in 15 but we can get takeout to go. We get home..the FOOD WAS AWESOME!! Just the right spices and heat!! Perfect!! We love it and can't to go back!! Check it out. Most restaurants are open in the afternoon till 4 then they close till 5 pm for the dinner rush on weekends. Just a fyi!!
Be the first to ReplyReview is for delivery which came quick and stayed hot.
We got the butter chicken and a paneer dish, both came with rice. Everything was really well seasoned and spiced... definitely not bland at all. Chicken was cooked well and tender. The garlic naan was good as well (tho hard to screw up). Portions are a bit on the smaller side vs other restaurants but taste makes up for it Will definitely be adding to our Indian takeout rotation and will be trying some new things
Be the first to ReplyThe real authentic North Indian food.
The kebabs are perfectly cooked and the entrรฉe are delicious.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Indian food.
The space is small so highly recommend getting a reservation or carrying food out.

Came here anticipating a nice dinner but we were asked to wait even after arriving sharply on our reserved time. Ended up going to another place after an hour wait and no response. Why even list yourself on Opentable if you are not going to honor a reservation that was done 2 days in advance?! Totally unprofessional and disappointing! 0 stars if 1 wasn't the minimum requirement.
Be the first to ReplyThis is by far the best Indian food in "Curry Hill.
" The meat is very high quality and the sauces are packed with flavor. They lack some of the appetizers that "standard" Indian places have (samosas, etc.), but the mains more than make up for it.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a decent Indian food spot.
We ordered Bhatti Paneer Tikka, Mango Lassi, Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. While the dishes are very flavorful, the meat seems to be a bit dry. I like their mango lassi quite a bit though! The service and ambiance are fine. If you are looking for a casual Indian food dinner, this is a good spot.
Be the first to ReplyNO stars would be better.
It's not hard to ruin a great meal with terrible service. The wait staff went overboard with sullen, mean, don't-give-a-damn service. Back to nearby Pippali, for sure, never to return here!

The space is small so be aware of that before going in with a large group. They were able to seat my group of 8 with no issues without a reservation on a Saturday night the weekend before Christmas. The food is amazing and the options are diverse. The wine was great this location and reasonably priced for a bottle. The dessert was AMAZING and worth a try. The service is great and would definitely go again!

Came here for my birthday lunch with friends! The food and service were both amazing! Our server Husain was super kind and made sure to make my birthday special. The paneer tikka stole the show, I would definitely come back again!

My friends actually mock me for how often I come here, ย so I think that says enough. We live walking distance and this spot is my absolute favorite out of all the Indian spots I've tried since moving to the area. They are usually pretty busy in the evenings and the first time we came service was painfully slow (that's life), but as soon as the food came it was all worth it! I've been back many times since and the quality has remained consistently outstanding as well as the service; I think the one instance of slow service I experienced was a side-effect of the pandemic. Honestly, even if the service had remained slow I would have returned as the food really is awesome and the people are very friendly. ย Typically our server doesn't even have to write our order down, his memory is great and we've never once received a mix-up. My personal favorites are the bhatti dal, tandoori chicken (oh god, i want some now--lmao) and the ras malai for dessert! Such a good date spot as we typically order a couple items along with rice and share a bit of everything (party plate pictured) ย Extra points for splitting a bottle of red!
Be the first to ReplyI ordered the lamb biryani and garlic naan.
It was wonderful. Very fresh and full of flavor. It is served with a creamy yogurt sauce which helps to cut some of the heat down. Wasn't asked about a heat level when ordering which was fine. Had it been any hotter- I don't think I would've enjoyed it.The service and the bathroom left something to be desired but otherwise a great chic spot. Good value and portion size as well.
