Service, food, atmosphere is all impeccable here.
The restaurant is like a small Italian cellar with topTier food and drinks. Definitely call ahead to ensure you get a table! Favorite little hidden gem in seaport

Very nice little Italian spot located in a great location down at the southern point of the great city. My dish (pasta) was very delicious which I will be getting again. However, my co-diners were not as impressed. The fish my boy ordered was full of bones! Ugh, scary! Debone that stuff next time! Or if your afraid of bones like he was try a pizza as it was very good. Waitress was very on the spot with everything too.

Super cozy, charming Italian vibe, absolutely delicious food (the tomatoes in the salad sang in my mouth) great staff, especially Steven. If in the area do yourself a favor and stop by this place. Oh, and the bathroom has live orchids.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant has been one of my favorites for years.
The food, ambiance and service is great. Due to this my partner and I decided to eat here for Valentine's Day. We were beyond shocked to see the restaurant had doubled their prices for a "special Valentine's Day menu" without changing portion size. The food is good, but paying $40+ for a bowl of pasta is absolutely ridiculous. Taking advantage of a holiday where people often go out to dinner is obscene. I was under the impression this was a quaint small business, but now I know they're just as money hungry as any franchise.

I had to go back because I was craving this dish. The Italian sausage is such a mild variety it works perfect with this sauce and the mushrooms. I ate every bite both times I've had this. The beet dish was served warm and such a tasty treat. I was alone but I managed to eat all of the beets too--it would have been a nice size to share between 2-4 people. I highly recommend. Service is good and ambiance is a quiet, elegant setting. This is on my favorites while I'm there for business. In the summer the Seaport area is fun so good location too.
Be the first to ReplyThis is one of the top 2 italian restaurants Ive ever had.
Everything was great from the appetizers to the pizza and pasta and the desserts. The service was exceptional too.
Be the first to ReplyVery mediocre food.
Service was sub-par as well, she couldn't give us any meaningful recommendations and seemed annoyed to do her job. Given the experience, the food should be half the price.

Visiting NYC and came across this place looking for Italian food. Top notch service and the food was incredible. Probably best Caesar salad and pasta we have ever had!! The environment is awesome too! Def recommend 100%
Be the first to ReplySolid Italian restaurant for a cozy and casual Italian meal.
My group was seated in the outdoors structure, which was heated and nicely decorated. We actually ended up preferring eating outdoors since the indoors area seemed more crowded with a tighter table space.Food-wise, we all unanimously enjoyed the Brigante pizza, which had a nice balance from the prosciutto and arugula topping. We'd skip the Funghi e Tartufo next time - it was more of a regular mushroom pizza that barely had any truffle flavor or aroma to it. We also tried the Fusilli Silani, and it was a simple but tasty baked pasta with sausage and cheese.Overall, a decent Italian meal but also pricey for what it was. It started getting pretty busy later in the evening, so make reservations if you want to come by during peak dinner hours.

On a Friday night, I met up with two of my friends (one came all the way from Australia and my bestie from Long Island) in south street seaport for the Santa Clauses interactive experience at Watermark and decide to have dinner around the area afterwards. Originally was gonna go eat at Fishmarket but it was packed full. So went and looked elsewhere and stumble upon this restaurant. Also had a slice of pizza as a snack earlier at the new location of Di Fara Pizza around the area. (Read that review later if interested). So glad we decided on this restaurant. The food was delicious, hands down. Don't think I remember a more mouth watery seafood pasta. Tasted so fresh and savory. The Branzino my friend got was well seasoned too. The grill chicken my other friend got was also grilled well. Wasn't too dry. I can't stay anything bad about the food except it was pricey. But on pare with Manhattan prices. I haven't given a place 5 stars review in a long time but this place deserves it.The restaurant was packed full too. So we actually didn't get to dine inside. Instead they had an outdoor area they made that was enclosed, we sat in there which was also well packed but not to capacity. The host came over at the end and asked us how was the food. The waiter came by from time to time at appropriate intervals. The last thing I want to comment on was the LED table lights that looks like candles on the table. It was so cute and well designed, I took a pic because I wanted to buy one or a few depending on the price. I found two companies online that sell it. It's not cheap. It's Italian design. And cost $149 a pop at retail price. I ended up buying one because I really like it. But at a slight discount price. Only one, cause it's too expensive to get more. It's rechargeable and portable which I like.

Nice ambiance and staff but Food was very average especially at the price points. Wouldn't go back for the food but good location
Be the first to ReplyI have both dined in, and ordered delivery from here.
I have tried the burrata and the gnocchi alla sorrentina- ย both of which I thought were solid dishes (nothing extraordinary). I did find the service to be above average- the manager and his daughter (a waitress) made the night fun and unforgettable. Always hard to find good hospitality in NYC, so it was much appreciated. Note: I really enjoyed watching the birthday celebrations. They flicker the lights on and off, bang pots and pans together, and make a very loud commotion for the birthday person. Very fun!!!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was absolutely horrible.
Pasta was unseasoned and under cooked. Pasta was sent out with pasta water. Staff is rude and service is slow.

This place has it all! The ambience and decoration is beautiful and resemble the actual Italian restaurants; the food is delicious and tasty; although they don't have a lot of Italian beers, the wine selection is amazing! Great prices.I will definitely come back. 100% recommended

Upon arrival our party of four was disappointed to learn they had no record of our reservation. Thankfully we were seated pretty quickly but it was a table right next to the kitchen/server area. Our dinner orders were taken but only three of us received our meals. It took nearly 20 minutes for me to get the attention of another waitress to inquire where my son's dinner was. She said she would find out. Another ten minutes go by and I again got the attention of the same server (our original server was MIA - never even stopped back to check on us). I was told that the order wasn't put in but should be out soon. The food finally came out but the rest of us had already long finished eating. We ordered tiramisu for dessert which was excellent! My complaint is that there was no apology for the goof up. It costs nothing to admit a mistake. Even comping the dessert would have been an appropriate gesture. I get it - restaurants are understaffed & COVID is still around. However being in the foodservice industry for 35 years has taught me there will always be times when service is not up to par. Simple manners and empathy can easily remedy nearly all customer service missteps.

Very delicious food all though our food did not come in the right order. we recieved pizza then bread then other entrees. The entrees were amazing!!! Especially the gnochii and the penne al pomodoro and the margherita pizza is the best ever! very festive and a huge birthday celebration! i love it here and would totally come back and recommend this to anyone looking for a good homey italian restraunt.
Be the first to ReplyGreat authentic Italian food.
ย Cozy, good service. Everything was good enough to justify the price. I would definitely go back here.

Took a walk to this place because the pictures and reviews looked good on yelp! I had to get out of the office and some fried calamari and a margarita pizza was going to be the right fix. Nice cozy little restaurant. Staff was very nice and the food was fresh and tasted great. I would def come back!
Be the first to ReplyLove this place even more after my second and third visits
Love this place even more after my second and third visits because I'm now realizing everything on their menu is awesome. Eggplant is divine. Pizza is delicious like authentic Italian pizza. Lamb chops - wow! I wasn't expecting to have the best lamb chops I've ever had at a hole-in-the-wall Italian spot. Had the the breaded veal too - great! Cannot go wrong with the Tartufo dessert. Good wine options. Very friendly and warm service, they treat you like family. I highly recommend Il Brigante!
