Super Surprise Diner
A very nice location with a beautiful interior. The Waiters were polite and courteous, with an perfect mix of humor and attention. In this relaxed atmosphere you could enjoy your meal. The ingredients wich were used in every course, were of high quality. The form of preperation and presentation were surprising and outstanding. So, that it was fun to taste every single note. Especialy by using ingredients, e.g. the "oyster leave", you never taste before. I would recommend this Restaurant to everyone, who loves exquisit meals in a warm atmosphere without chichi

Despite it being a rainy day and severe corona limitations, Herberg onder de Linden suprised us greatly. Even though the full menu was not available, obviously, the make-shift lunch like offerings were an absolute delight.
Home made 'bitterballs' as a starter, quite innovative! Very tastefull. Lamm dinner which was extraordinary and to top it off a lava-cake like dessert with takes of ice and creamy goodness.
Very impressive! Especially what this restaurant manages to offer during these hard corona times!
Food take-away menu 'back to the classics' excellent
We had the opportunity to order a back to the classics take-away menu. This was truly a wonderful experience, and although you need to warm up a few things, you hardly need cooking skills. However if you want to eat it without a hob, that is not possible.
The menu consisted of 4 courses and a amuse. Amuse was very nice and fresh beet with a jelly on top. Starter was a well prepared raw scallop with cauliflower and various ingredients. It was already served in a nice small plate, so only thing to do was to heat up the cream.
Second course was octopus, which required most of the 'work'. However with the accompanied video it was easy.
Main steak with eel was again wonderful. Just a few minutes in the oven and heat up the sauce and ready.
Dessert was also already prepared on a small plate; apple bavarois.
Also we ordered some matching wines, which were packed in nice small bottles. Easy to use.
Perfect, even for smaller children to get them acquainted to fine dining, without having to sit straight in a restaurant. Give it a try.
