Hamdi Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
This is a new favorite for me.
The lighting is darker, which I appreciate because it's very calming. There were plants, and it wasn't too loud when we went at 5:30z Service was excellent- gave candid recommendations that were PERFECT and always refilled our water. I really enjoyed our server a lot! Our favorite items were the kofte, the kebap, the romaine salad (truly tasted like eating summer) and the beef tongue. The cocktails were great- I used to live near LA and am very picky, but they have a solid bar program! Overall we loved it. I have eaten in Istanbul at a Michelin star restaurant, so I have high standards, and this absolutely was fantastic.

My new favorite place! I love when I am pleasantly surprised by a place and introduced to some new foods. There was not a bad thing on the menu, the kereviz was refreshing and tasty, the beef tongue was prepared fantastically and I have never had anything like that before. We also enjoyed the kebap and the steak, while expensive, it was so worth it. We finished with the home-made ice cream, which is a must. They did a great job with the mixed drinks as well, who uses Turkish coffee! The ambiance was great, dimly light place, nicely decorated and inmate. We sat at the chef's table while they prepared the meals, which allowed us to interact with the uber-friendly staff. Actually got a tour of the kitchen after we finished our meals. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this place. It has been awhile since I have been blown away by place and this one hit all of the marks. Definitely give them a try, ask for the chef's table if you can. Enjoy, while I make another reservation for these guys!
One of my all time best dining experiences in Seattle.
The best porterhouse steak I've ever had. It was perfect in every way and I consider myself a meat aficinado. I would choose the experience over the best wagyu any day. It had amazing sauce but, didn't need it. The best part is that we tried almost every dish on the menu and they were all exceptional. Beef tongue, Lamb belly, Cod were all perfect portions for sharing bites with rich flavor combinations. The carrot dish we had we maybe should have gotten two to share for the three of us. The flavor combinations in every dish were well thought out and it felt more like a tasting menu experience that a traditional dining one The $39 Japanese whisky cocktail was worth every penny. We shared it and also got a recommend bottle of Lebanese wine that paired well with our food. The service was great, very efficient and what I want when I go for an experience like Hamdi. One of the owners was there and she elevated the experience and was really good at making sure we were happy and had great stories about the food and history of the restaurant and its staff. The chef came out at the end, very humble and professional. I can't wait to go back.
Have been here twice and each time the food was amazing.
It's an exciting combination of ingredients in the Turkish cuisine. The ambience and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The dishes and decorations are selected with taste and are unique. Would highly recommend.

Hamdi is an excellent fine dining experience bringing rich Turkish flavors to Seattle. The details are all in place: great ambiance, an immediate aroma that makes you salivate, and service that goes above and beyond again and again. The food lives up to the rest of the experience. The tapas plates and bread to go with are all distinct and fantastic. I thought they would be the stars of the show despite the fact we'd ordered an impressive sounding steak to share, but holy shit did that steak blow us away. Work has put me in many steakhouses, and this one at Hamdi will be in the pantheon of my steak memory for many years to come. It was a perfect medium-rare with an almost caramelized exterior. It'll take a chunk out of your wallet, but you won't regret it.
Ambiance is warm and cozy.
The food is unique and interesting! We really enjoy the pide, celery root, and lamb kebabs. Casual Fine dining without the extravagant Seattle price. Parking maybe a challenge in the area.
Amazing food, fantastic service.
Booked for my partners birthday and we had such a great time. There is a reason it was named one of the best new restaurants of Seattle! Especially loved the kereviz. It's like bougie coleslaw, for my white trash friends.

Probably one of best experiences I've had in Seattle in a long time. The atmosphere is transformative, the music spot on, the service friendly, welcoming, and authentic. And the food is worth all the hype. The chef and kitchen delivered flavorful masterpieces that each wowed us.
Excellent food, bartending and waiting needs improvement.
4.2 rating This is a beautiful restaurant with a soft, intimate atmosphere. Whoever designed it did a phenomenal job. It feels like Revel used to in the old house but much better. Lightening and decor are superb! We liked several dishes and splurged in the poterhouse. was good. I mean how can't it?! It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well and the sauces especially the hot one was wonderful. That felt price little outrageous at $190 given they probably pay about $60 or less for that meat. The best thing we had was the yogurt, tahini, pomegranate molasses, quinoa, and pine nut dish. I didn't care for the salmon roe being mixed in to that particular dish. The whole point of row is the experience of it popping in your mouth. The wait staff was hit or miss. The turkish man was wonderful. I didn't like having so many people interrupt us all the time. It was anxiety inducing. But I understand they are trying something different. I would recommend giving people ample space for the guests, some people were to close and a wee aggressive. Don't ask how we heard about you in the middle of dinner, for example. Good job, a few improvements would make this truly excellent.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
