Food options are very good, and the prime rib is the best.
The price is typical for a buffet of such selections. However, service is a little lacking. I'm not complaining as there is a shortage of staff. Restaurant is clean and has a nice decor. I wish we were able to view the ocean from the restaurant but unfortunately we cannot. I would give the buffet five stars if they had AYCE crab legs like other buffets in AC had prior to covid. Sadly those buffets never reopened, which is how I found Fresh Harvest. Now this is the only buffet we eat at when we're visiting Atlantic City.

It's a good thing I decided to swipe my card because I got a $20 voucher for the buffet. Was seated in a reasonable amount of time. The server was extremely slow getting a glass of water for me. Had to be at least 10 minutes or longer. Was not happy about that. Started with some salad. Rest was good. Moved on to some of the other dishes. They were out of prime rib. Was told that it would be at least 20 minutes or so. That's what I really wanted too. Seemed like everything in the chafing dishes was at room temperature and not really too hot. I thought my entire meal was just ok. Nothing really stood out as being great. Didn't have dessert either. Definitely not worth the $40. The only highlight of the meal was having a voucher for half off. Would probably give it another chance, but not on this trip.

A very decent buffet with the usual huge selection of options, from Italian to Asian and everything in-between. Plus desserts. The ice cream was the single best thing I ate. Everything else was good....but forgettable. If you like quantity, I recommend highly. But if you don't want to make a pig of yourself and would rather be served one great entree and go to sleep without heartburn, I would suggest you go elsewhere. Plus the atmosphere is like a cafeteria.

They had so much to choose from but I have a finicky pallet and some food restriction's. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. When I asked where watermelon was located in the buffet he told me where it was. To my surprise, while I was eating he came back with a good size bowl of fresh watermelon. The desserts all looked amazing. All the special cuts of meat and seafood looked good as well. They also had a pasta area as well as oriental food. I just happened to be the right place at the right time, as I had a coupon for 1/2 off the buffet for this day. So $19.99 plus tax was a winner. It would have cost at least that in any of the restaurants and not been able to have such an amazing spread of food. Great Job

This update is specifically for the Seafood Buffet on Thursdays. A misguided friend of mine kept raving about the "unlimited" crab legs so eventually my husband and I decided to see if it was any good or worth the price they're charging ($59.99). In as few words as possible here's our opinion: Dumping Old Bay Seasoning in copious amounts on a multitude of overcooked varieties of seafood is a crime. Every dish looks and tastes the same with the exception of the world's skinniest and limp crab legs which were absolutely pre-cooked and then reheated in a steamer. Hardly worth the trouble trying to crack them and get a minuscule bit of rubbery crab. I'm now calling this The Seafood Destruction Buffet.

Every time I stay at the Hard Rock, I always visit the buffet at least once. The variety of delicious foods and selections is amazing. From the Raw bar to the Prime Rib carving station and several selections in between including great pizza and Chinese food station. Not to mention the extensive dessert selections including freshly made crepes and ice cream. It is a bargain for the price! The service is excellent. The servers keep the table clean and serve the included beverages immediately. The ambiance is pretty and the energy is wonderful. You can even leave with a beverage, including coffee. It's like a food orgy
Be the first to ReplyWe went there on New Year's Eve.
Sunday night was Steak night. The price was $59.99 each. I was totally disappointed in the selection of steak. Only a small cut of meat was the only type of steak offered. I couldn't even tell what cut it was. No top cuts at all. The Asian cuisine was salty and very little seasoned taste. The crab legs appeared to be dry, old and tough. I've been there before but I prefer breakfast over dinner. Don't think they open for breakfast anymore. Next time we will try the Borgata buffet.
Be the first to ReplyDo not go here.
Hands down the worst buffet my partner and I have ever had in our lives. The food tasted like it was made from frozen, it was tasteless, dry and mushy. The prime rib was way over done and the brisket is so dry it can probably break a window; and they force the shitty pieces on you. The ravioli was so mushy I washed it down with lemonade because I didn't want to spit it out. The dessert looked great, tastes shit; the tiramisu has been left out for so long, the cream stiffened and went dark. The lemon bar had no lemon taste, the eclair was stale and had condensation; and I've never seen a more unripe watermelon being served. Why serve this at all?? JC, this place was awful; do better. The only redeeming part of this experience was service and the soft serve - so a star for that. But also only because I have to at least provide one star.

I came for lunch, the food was good, good variety from Chinese, Mexican, salad, American and lots of delicious desserts. Definitely will come back again.
Be the first to ReplyI have been going here for five years.
The quality is going down and the price is going up. The food was lukewarm and dry and often tasteless. It used to be great. The selections seem to be less also. Management got rid of the gelato ice cream and replaced it with the same soft serve found in many employee cafeterias. I have to say Borgata buffet beats Hard Rock buffet By a mile.
Be the first to ReplyWas here for the weekend and tried the buffet on Sunday.
Presentation was typical. The food was a solid 2 maybe 3. My friend tried the oysters and she almost vomited. I tried the prime rib and roast beef. Ice cold by the time I got to my table. This is pretty shocking for a buffet at a casino to get so much wrong. My server was competent and the coffee was good. That's about the only positive thing about can say.

We went to the Hard Rick Casino and went to eat at the buffet we were 9 people in our group .We each paid our bill separately and were seated .The person tht sat us saod being we were a large group we were supposed to pay a gratuity up front she said this was the rule for party if 10 or more we said we were a party of 9 and wanted to speak to the supervisor. When he came he was not very helpful he insisted we go up front and pay the gratuity or we had to split up there was so much confusion at this point the 3 people who were in our party got up and left to sit someplace else .I think this was terrible that we were forced to sit apart being this was the first time we were out together since losing our sister I will not be going to this restaurant again and I willLet most people I know how rudely we were treated We are not that type of people to not give a tip we did leave a 40$ tip and this was for 6 people and this is for just being served soft drinks or water I think management needs to go over the policy with employees because this was not the way I expected to be treated.Again it was the 1st time out since my sister passed away and it would have been nice to sit together as a family ....
Be the first to ReplyNo Italian or pizza, but same price.
Slow lines for sub par food. They need a better system for getting food. Carving station needs to be separate so it doesn't slow up the line for other food. The Chinese noodles were good, but that was it. Service was decent.

Kids under 4 freeNot the worst buffet I've ever been to and one of the better ones in AC. The Chinese food was delicious. The salad bar part was good. They had an Italian section including raviolis and pizza that people really loved. The carving section had prime rib or some kind of beef.Service was great, they were quick to clear the dirty plates of our group.***pls remember to tip buffet waiters. This is too often overlooked***

I'll give it a courtesy two stars because our waiter was very nice and friendly but a one start rating for everything else. I have noticed that your prices went up YET the selection has most certainly gone down. I looked around for the other serving stations to no avail because there weren't any. Have to really love it when your pocket is picked at the register and you have very basics to choose from. I have written to Fresh Harvest and have yet to receive a response. I guess my complaint didn't warrant a response yet somehow I suspect someone will take me seriously now. Times are tough, no kidding!

Not a big fan of Buffets but we were hungry and didn't feel like waiting at the other restaurants. The variety of food is standard buffet fare. They do have peel and eat shrimp and raw oysters which may justify the $34.99 price. It is set up nicely with stations ie Chinese, Italian, Carving. Quality and variety of food is just OK. It is clean and well organized.
Be the first to ReplyI think it's the only game in town these days.
At least on the Boardwalk. we went right before the dinner rush and luckily we did. It's set up like most casino buffets where you pay before you sit down and you get your receipt and then a hostess seats you. Plenty of seating and our waitress was very nice and prompt with drink refills and clearing plates. That and the desserts were the best part of the buffet. There were three sections of the buffet. One was huge and the main part. It was set up so you get on line one side and walk thru. Your basic plates were available. Southern, Asian, Italian, seafood and a few more. A decent selection but nothing that stood out. The meat from the carving station was good. The other two section was oven stuff which was mostly pizza, pasta options and the desserts. Plenty of dessert options and I tried to try most and they were all good. Again, a little dissappointing. I don't regret I went but not sure I will be back.

Hard Rock's fresh harvest buffet is always a homerun hit or a big swing and a miss. The last few times I've gone it's been the latter. They have to stop over cooking the prime rib. I hate to say it, but it is a big problem now, it has been 4 times in a row that I go over to the prime rib carving station and it's an instant let down. Cook it less. It's simple. I know I'm not the only one, this past time a new rib was being cut and I was about 6th on line and the person in front of me let out a depressed sigh as it was first cut and I asked "upset about the well done rib too?" And he let out some angry curse words about it. And the woman behind me joined in. I really hope they fix this issue ASAP. I would hate for this place to get a bad name because their other foods are pretty good. The dessert could use an upgrade too, but the real issue is the overcooked prime rib.
Be the first to ReplyStayed in the Hard Rock.
Hadn't done a buffet in a while. Kids usually like it. It wasn't bad, but it was just mediocre. You could do better elsewhere for the same price. I'll put it this way. The two best things I had were the mixed greens salad and blue cheese dressing and the corn on the cob. Yes, the corn on the cob was the best thing they had. The corn on the cob. It was real, nonfrozen fresh sweet corn, chopped into minis. Yes. The corn on the cob was the best thing they had.
Be the first to ReplyAh, the good ol' buffet.
It seems to be almost a relic in post-COVID times. Before coming to FHB in late July 2022, I can't remember the last time we visited one of this caliber. Atlantic City is very limited on buffets now, I believe someone in the hotel told us there are only two going strong now. It looks to be a very popular place, as there was a line about 25 minutes deep to get in at a time I would consider late for dinner in a normal setting, 7:30 PM. We choose this place because our one and three year olds could eat completely free (I believe it's 4 and under for those that need to know). Neither eat all that much anyway so we are going to pick places where they can either share plates with us or not be charged in this type of setting. The space is vast and can hold a lot of people, so the line mentioned before moved fairly quickly as people rotated in and out. Each party is taken to their table to begin the experience. One of the first things I noticed is that there was a line for a particular area, right in front of the Asian entrees. This seemed silly, because just across the way was the station for pasta and prime rib that had a zero line. In fact, this area at the far right side had a line all night long. We smartened up and simply jumped around. You could get a plate from the middle section instead of waiting in line. You aren't exactly jumping in front of people, human nature is that people tend to stay with the herd. The prime rib was the most disappointing of the night, cooked about 20-30 minutes too long with zero pink. The best option of the night was surprisingly the general gau/tso's chicken, really fresh and popped with flavor. I also loved the couscous salad, with a variety of ingredients that you don't always see. I also loved the peel and eat shrimp which were rather large but didn't try the other shellfish since I have had bad experiences on buffets before. The dessert bar here really shines. Fresh crepes made right in front of you where you can throw on a dollop of fresh whipped cream as high as you want. Eclairs, chocolate cannoli's and of course, the gelato case full of at least 6-8 flavors in total. I'd say about 80% of the options offered are great, hence the four stars. The service was SO kind to our kids all night, stopping by to be playful with them on several occasions. They work hard and always had a smile on their face. My wife said it reminded her of being on a cruise when we were in there, and we even had an ocean view out the window nearby. Highly recommend for those in and around the Hard Rock looking for that former glory of a casino buffett.
Be the first to ReplyI went to this buffet with my boyfriend on the 25th of July.
. The aesthetic of the place is comfortable and clean.. The food was mediocre and nasty for the price... The Chinese buffet taste better and the Golden Corral taste better and way cheaper.. For us both it was 73$ wasn't worth it for the price..

Me and my husband were looking forward to finally eating at ac buffet after a 2 year hiatus. Found out only 2 buffet's are open now. This buffet is priced appropriately. Covers the basics and that's it.

However, I did like the service. The waiter was very kind and was always around to assist.
