Very good food, great atmosphere, excellent service, we felt very comfortable. Eating in the restaurant and in the garden is possible.
Be the first to ReplyVery good for years!
For many years, almost decades, we have been visiting the Freisinger Hof - (round) birthdays of parents and grandparents, children starting school or the last day of school before the holidays, wedding anniversaries, Christmas, or just because. We have never had a bad meal and mostly very, very good food. A meeting at the Freisinger Hof with colleagues who are also friends led me to write this review: The starter included black pudding with potato pancakes and apple slices, with fried onions. As always, very tasty. Then roast beef with onions, schnitzel and a mixed ox plate. The "soup meat" in particular was excellent, but everything else was also very good. For dessert, creme brûlée and pancakes, during the evening a very good Riesling - everything was very fine and successful. Attentive and friendly service, very quick and professional. The Freisinger Hof is truly a very, very good choice!

The hotel environment is warm and elegant. My family and I tasted the food of this hotel. The food here is full of color, aroma and taste! Impatient Chinese people don’t have to come to experience it! The typical European slow serving!
Be the first to ReplyElegant typical restaurant
Elegant restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere. Professional service but I found it a little slow. Dishes with Austrian and German specialties good and well presented. Prices not low but fair, given the venue. A little difficult for parking. Overall recommended restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food can be expensive, but good drinks can also be inexpensive.
As always, very good service, courteous and attentive. High quality food, a little expensive but OK. And when it comes to drinks, the Freisinger Hof shows that a good 0.2l glass of wine shouldn't cost more than €7. Some bars and restaurants in Munich could learn a thing or two from that!

We were at the Freisinger Hof with friends. Since it was lunchtime, we were able to sit outside, which is not a given in October. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table. The waiter even took the time to take a few photos of us. They were flexible enough to bring a starter for two people. We had three boiled beef and one Wiener schnitzel for the main course and everything was really good. We live in Vienna and these dishes are almost national dishes for us. But everything was really good and of very high quality. We had a great day all round.

The terrace is beautiful and creates atmosphere, simple but good cuisine. Prices not low. Service a little rushed. Overall good.
Be the first to ReplyOur best meal in Germany
Best meal we had in Germany! Menu was traditional yet creative, delicious and the portions were generous! We had Negroni and Aperol Spritz, both were very well executed! Our server Chris was amazing! Very friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable! We highly recommend and will definitely be back! If you're looking for authentic Bavarian fare that's delicious and away from the usual tourist spots, look no further!

Excellent service with excellent ambiance! Chris and team treated us phenomenally. They were attentive to us and had lots of wonderful suggestions for the remainder of our stay in Germany and Italy. Wonderful Bavarian offerings in a gorgeous setting. Will definitely visit my next time in Munich!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent meal, highly recommend.
Lovely setting for an excellent dinner. Recommend the boiled shoulder of beef which was outstanding. The sautéed chicken was actually deep fried, also excellent. Sides and accoutrements are outstanding and thoughtfully prepared. Had the goat cheese salad, and side salad. Wine by glass is nice, if you’re looking for something special maybe try a bottle. Great beer. Nice dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the best meals we had while in Germany! Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and great flavors in all the food! You will be very happy you found this wonderful place!!!
Be the first to ReplyFabulous food and service
We had dinner here with friends and it was first rate! The food and wine was exceptional and the service fantastic. The price was on the high side but absolutely worth every penny. For a pescatarian eating out in Bavaria it was my favourite and best expereince.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Old World experience
We opted for dinner at the Freisinger Hof because it's Michelin recognition caught our eye and we weren't disappointed. Their staff took excellent care of us (no problems with their English at all!) and made some wonderful recommendations from their menu of all-Austrian cuisine and their wine list of Austrian wines (we had a Merlot/Syrah/Blaufrankisch blend that was unlike ANYTHING I usually associate with Austrian wines!). Additionally, they are one of those restaurants who makes their dishes as visually beautiful as they were delicious. Just be sure to leave a bit of alcohol tolerance for an after-dinner schnapps from their table that is covered with probably sixty different choices!
For visitors to Munich, as I said, language is not a problem for guests who only speak English. Additionally, they are an easy five-minute walk from the St. Emmeram tram stop at the very end of the 16 and 37 lines, so you don't need to drive or take a taxi/uber to dinner if you don't want.
Amazing meal
I celebrated my 60th birthday here with a group of 9 people on a Monday evening. Dinner was almost perfect for German/Austrian food. I've had duck many times but here it was tender, juicy and a crisp skin crust. Simply amazing and delicious. Even the rotkohl was among the best I've ever had. The rest of the group were extremely happy with their entrees as well. For dessert I had the 3 sorbets which, without exaggeration, were some of the best I have experienced as well.
Service was also close to perfection. Our server, Katja, was very attentive, friendly and cared about the quality of the meal and the overall experience.
Great wine list along with a variety of obstler, etc.
We did not stay at the hotel, but based on our dinner experience, would love to come back in the future and stay here.
In my opinion, this is a don't miss dining experience if you are in Munich.
Upscale, Bavarian Classic Food & Amazing Service!
We have a few restaurant favorites in our neighborhood and this ranks in the top 3 ! The service is ALWAYS exceptional, the Food delicious & location perfect for small or large gatherings. They have 3 different seating options weather permitting that include outside, under the awning or inside...all very comfortable & cozy. We tend to order the duck or boiled meat with broth...and we always leave with happy tummys. Parking is a real challenge...so I would recommend arriving by taxi. The desserts are delicious...especially the frozen vanilla & marille knodel...its not to be missed!
Thank you to Sam and ALL who have served us over the past 8 years...the service & kitchen is FIRST CLASS!! Perfect location to entertain corporate clients 👏👏👍👍See you soon,Kristin & Christian G.
Great quality and style
Good quality hotel with a rural touch in Munich. If you’re tired with the standard business traveller hotels, this is a nice change: you wouldn’t expect to find such a rural/bavarian style hotel downtown Munich. The rooms are cosy and yet perfectly maintained, with quality materials. Breakfast is more than the usual offer…they really make an effort. The next door restaurant is also good, so if you need to be in that part of the city, don’t hesitate.
