Tourist trap. Disgusting Food and Service!
Myself and my wife visited here last night to celebrate our anniversary. Before arriving I called ahead to advise my wife is pescutarian and so they can prepare for that as they ask on the website. Our table was 7:30 and Upon arrival at 7:30 the doors to the restaurant were closed and we called to be told “oh we are having a meeting” NOT A 5 STAR SERVICE ! We then waited and a waiter very coldly came to open the door and we entered the totally empty quiet restaurant which resembles a private hospital cafe. Zero atmosphere and the only 2 people there ! Super awkward. Now onto the shambles that is the food. They assured us my wife has been catered to and will have a perscutarian meal, he recommends we have the 5 course menu and we go ahead. First course .. radish jelly totally disgusting like eating slop! Second course … foi gras for me and for my wife nothing 🙃 Third course.. crab and turnip now let’s forget it is completely flavourless and focus on the chunks of crab shell that almost break your teeth !! Waiter collects the plate with spat out shell on the side and an almost full dish … says nothing ! Fourth course … the vilest slimiest pollock dish again not eaten and taken away full Fifth course … MASHED POTATOE TO SHARE ! I joke not the waiter confidently told us yes it is a specialty!! He did say it usually comes with the rabbit but your pescutarian so have it on its own !! That’s the adaptation is to just serve you the side dish totally laughable ! Disgusting we paid £400 for this pleasure as the manager though it only suitable to give us 20 Euros discount for this disgrace. Please save your money and time.

My daughter and I were recently there on October 6 at 12:30 p.m for lunch. The staff was wonderful explaining the menu. Unfortunately, when my daughter's main course was served, a bug was walking across her plate. The plate was immediately removed ,and many apologies were made by the server. In retrospect, I probably should have left. However, we stayed, and a little later the same meal was served. The flank steak was very tough, and we hardly touched the food. We decided not to have desert and asked for lattes. We were charged extra for the lattes since they were not included in the fixed price. I was brought the check and paid the full amount. But, in speaking to several people later, there was some discussion that there should have been some accommodation made to the bill. Needless, to say we were very disappointed. Every other place that we ate in Paris, including the Ritz Hotel was wonderful.

My wife and I enjoyed an extravagant meal here and enjoyed every aspect of it. The decor is understated but elegant. The servers, while a bit young, were very nice and attentive. We had the 9-course dinner with wine pairings and were impressed with every detail. The food is exquisite! And beautiful! The use of edible flowers has been elevated to an art form in this kitchen. The selected wines were excellent as well! A very creative selection! We highly recommend this very special fine dining restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyGood value for Michelin restaurant
In general, Michelin restaurants have to innovate in order to retain their stars. The starter was innovative. It was all radish. White, then the wasabi and then the root. It was interesting. The main courses for the four of us were very good. We were jetlagged and so did not order wine. Coffee was pretty good. Service was fine. Yes, I agree that it was somewhat rough at the edges but nothing to complain about. Our bill came to about 150 euros a person for a party of four. I recommended it to other friends.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and classic service
Excellent food and wine pairing. Appetizer was particularly original and tasty. Special mention also to the asparagus and quail dishes.
