Distinctly underwhelmed
I have always wanted to eat here.So I booked for the set €46 lunch.
I was seated in what was called the barrier, not in the main restaurant.
The starter was smoked salmon which I always enjoy. The main course was cannelloni with seafood and sprinkled with a green vegetable. Not a great deal of fish in this.Had better cannelloni from supermarkets.
I didn't bother with a desert.
Let's say that service was stately.
When the bill arrived,I was astonished to see that my diet coke was €12.I could have bought a crate for that amount at home.
A tip was asked for but not given.
Well I've done that and can move on.
The best of the best
Happy memories here mainly from the 1970's for either dinner or late evening on the terrace with coffee and a brandy people watching.
This occasion just a cafe creme. An exorbitant price but well worth it to once again sit in the amazing surroundings. Sad in some ways only heard English spoken, no French.
Good food - at a price; service could be better
We came to Fouquet's for breakfast. Unfortunately, during the week they only open the outdoor area after lunch, even though it was perfect summer weather.
The quality of the food was very good, as can be expected from this Parisian institution.
The service however was rather disappointing. While the staff was friendly, it was very challenging to get the waiters' attention for follow up orders, to inquire about missing items or to receive the cheque. Even though the place was not even half full, everyone seemed always very busy with.. well that we cannot answer.
Lastly, while one can expect prices to be above average for this tourist hotspot, 90 Euros for 2 coffees, 2 omlettes, a small bread basket and an orange juice is still more than what most people would call value for money.
Elegant refuge for people-watching on the Champs Elysées
It had been a few years since we dined at Le Fouquet's. Some of the cranky reviews here almost made us keep walking. But out of sentiment, we stopped in and were reminded what a perfect spot this is for a memorable snack or meal. It's not inexpensive, but the value is good. Seated indoors with a window on the Champs Elysées, we started with champagne, followed by a Caesar salad and croque monsieur - both excellent. Another round of champagne. Dessert was two scoops of ice cream (smallish French scoops, not the generous American size) with coffee. The bill came to about $215 and was worth every penny. Pleasant English-specking service.

Fine dining. Sole Meunière prepared table side. French 75/s made to perfection. Staff is superb. Not cheap. Sole is most expensive item at 90€. Worth the money.
