Fleetwoods
Been going to Lahaina for many years but our first time eating at Fleetwoods. The service was great and so was the meal. We had a nice table overlooking Front St. and the ocean. We have tried to go before but always forgot to make reservations. This time we made them before we left home. Yes, it's a little expensive but well worth the treat. Make sure to take the time to check out the music museum at the entrance of the restaurant. Well worth the time. Just remember to make reservations ahead of time!

The outdoor atmosphere was wonderful. The chicken & fish were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a fun place! Great vibe- huge bar and lots of people enjoying themselves. We were seated right in front of the stage! The live bad was good but dinner conversation was challenging! I really enjoyed my meal, coconut carrot soup as an appetizer and the local fish entree. Would love to be there for happy hour sometime!

Meal was awesome, food tasted great. Service was great too - handled our special requests easily… Atmosphere with live music made us want to stay and have desserts…

We made a rooftop reservation for lunch. Fleetwood Mac sent a reminder for our reservation in the morning. After driving over 40 minutes to Lahaina we visited the art fair, did a little shopping and went to Fleetwood Macs for our lunch reservation. Much to our surprise they told us that due to rain earlier in the morning the rooftop area was too wet to serve lunch. We were told that we could have an indoor table but since we specifically booked the rooftop for the view, we declined. No other options were offered to us.

We always enjoy the rooftop dining on every trip to Kaanapali but this must have been an off night or maybe staffing issues. Service was slow and server indifferent. Even the food among the four of us was spotty.

For my special 10th Anniversary and Valentine celebration I was lucky enough to dine and imbibe at this spectacular stellar locale. The food was amazing in every way. The service was impeccable. We had front row seats to an amazing Maui sunset with a fabulous harp player serenading us to beautiful romantic music. To say that I was awestruck with the ambiance of romance and fine food with an incredible view is putting it mildly. It was truly one of the best Valentine memories of my lifetime and I was on cloud nine!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fine meal and a perfect atmosphere. The flavors, the feelings, and the surroundings set a mood of extreme happiness and serene bliss. I hope someday that I am fortunate enough to return.

After trying several days, we were actually able to get a table in the bar. The service was excellent and the music was great. The food was okay.

Wow - what a disappointment. We dined with a group of 5. Two dishes had to be returned. Really poor service and a failing grade on the food.
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere and food, need to eat at the rooftop!
The place was rocking. We came early and had drinks at the bar as well as appetizers before dinner. The live band really set up the great vibe to the place. The drinks were flowing and we started with crab & corn fritters….OMG that was wonderful. It was really delicious and great to go along with our drinks. We ended up going upstairs to the rooftop for dinner and the ambiance was quite different up there with a bit more sophisticated and calm with music from the 70’s but then a great mix of rock music and of course some Fleetwood Mac songs. Our Waiter in training Jamar was wonderful, attentive and very fast in keeping our meal going. It wasn’t too fast either as sometimes you feel that you’re rushed to eat and get the next table going. We had a great time on the rooftop starting with a seafood chowder and a wedge salad. Both were portioned well but not too much. We had the Mongchong a buttery fish grilled on a bed of broccolini with a Parmesan potato cake. My wife loved it and the fish was cooked to perfection. I had the Shutome/Swordfish on a bed of rice and the fish was grilled cooked to just the right way with just a hint of pink in the middle. We then had enough room to share a chocolate cheesecake and that was heavenly. We would definitely go again and maybe even try to time it when Mick is playing with his band. Great food and great vibe.

I got the fish tacos and it was a filling meal for lunch, it came with coleslaw as well but we upgraded to the truffle fries which were delicious. The crème brûlée was absolutely to die for. We had a booth up on the balcony where you could see around the area from above. It was beautiful. There was also live music.

We ate here for Lunch on our last day. We had reserved the rooftop but they were unable to open even though no rain all day that day :(. Food offerings were very limited and small portions ( Truffle fry appetizer was like 10 fries - taste good but very small. My wife ordered the salad and just lettuce - she didn't eat much of it at all. Would NOT go back for sure. To many other very good options to be average at best.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food - not so great service
We went, as a group of 10 of us 2 weeks ago. Went on a Friday night, made the reservation over a month in advance. We got there right on time, and waited about 40 minutes PAST our reservation time.
Got the song and dance about how the table before us hadnt left yet - yet they also told us there was a 2 hour maximum for the table. IF there is a time limit - how would the table before us run that late? They told us they couldnt kick them out.
Food was good, service was slow.. even tho it was almost 9 pm. We were told the restaurant was slammed (went downstairs to use the washroom and saw it was not busy at all, only a few tables)
We ordered a 2nd bottle of wine, it showed up AFTER we had finished eating our entrees. Our dinner bill was $1,000 USD - for these prices I would expect better service, and not to wait anywhere near 40 minutes past our reservation. What is the point of a reso if you cant be sat when youve reserved to sit?
Fleetwood’s on Front Street is a must!
Fun, great service and delicious food! If your in Maui I recommend making reservations a month ahead during high season. The planning is worth it! Rooftop is the best with tri-level seating and views of the ocean from any table. Start you evening with a Scottish bagpiper and history lesson. Later reservations will have a live singer/band.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant for a special occasion.
We had reservations, so was a bit put off having to wait. I am guessing it is a tactic to get patrons to browse the attached shop. This was the only negative about our visit, and was not that huge of a problem.
We did have to show our pre-clear before we were seated. The atmosphere was perfect, having a sunset view was also nice. We sat in the enclosed dining area, Joleen our waitress was very attentive and helpful. We had the filet mignon and the Kona kampachi. Both were very good although I found the fish to be strong tasting in some parts, similar to the darker part of swordfish. The maitais and creme brulee were amazing!
Because it was our anniversary, we were given a glass of champagne with our dinner, a very nice touch!
Fleetwoods is not cheap, but well worth the price, especially for a special occasion.
Disapointing
Was looking forward to dinner here as we herd good things. We sat at the bar where they had plenty of seats but were telling customers it could be up to an hour wait. I clear sign management had no clue
Appetizer Oysters and soup where really good. Two fish dished for dinner were not good, overcooked and not seasoned well at all. Took a couple bites and had not interest in eating more. Attend it took the plate with the full meal and didn’t really care that we didn’t eat any of it. Disappointing
Wine menu was OK but we overpriced for what they were offering. We do expect the prices to be inflated but this was way overinflated
This place is more of a local tourist trap than anything that good. Very disappointing
Ultimate Surf and Turf meal
This may have been our most favorite meal we had in 10 days on Maui. Beef Wellington, Lobster, shrimp, scallops, etc. It's made for two people and the two of us couldn't even eat it all.
Be the first to ReplyRooftop Happiest Hour!
We celebrated our 5th Anniversary rooftop for Happy Hour. Not your average bar food and cheap drinks. Outstanding food and quality beverages. We were treated to a glass of Sparkling Wine upon being seated. White tablecloths, bubbly, Fleetwood Mac tunes and an ocean view set the mood for a great time! The oysters were so good, we ordered another 1/2 dozen. The truffle fries were excellent with the lobster roll (ok but not sure I would order it again). The mussels were tender and the curry sauce was heavenly. Hubs had the Kokomo and I enjoyed more wine! Service was gracious. We were seated near the edge of the rooftop and it did get hot when the sun followed us, so an 'inside' table would probably be better. What a great afternoon! Cheers!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic time at Fleetwood’s
Had a fantastic waiter for Happy Hour. There were 10 of us. Family and friends. Ordered everything on the menu. Oyster y we’re phenomenal, Truffle fries outrageous! Mussels were sensational. I’d go on but, needless to say the view was fantastic. Service excellent.
Just make sure you have a reservation.
Bad experience
Was placed on a waiting list to have a couple drinks at the bar only to discover when being seated there were lots of seats available. This place pretends they are in high demand and exclusive as a marketing strategy. They are not!! If paying more to feel like you’re fancy is your thing...this place is for you. For those who actually are exclusive go get some quality food and drink elsewhere!
Be the first to ReplyExpensive, Bad Service, Questionable Portions
My wife and I started our dining on Maui at Fleetwoods. It was very disappointing on many levels.
First, we arrived for our reservation, but still had to wait 15 minutes for some unknown reason. Poor communications from the hostess.
The server was robotic, with the same stilted speech at each table. Rarely saw her, but we were pleased with the gentlemen who provided each course to our table. The server got snippy when we discussed the excessive cost of the Beef Wellington, and only grabbed our payment afterward, without any Thank You for our patronage.
We started with an Ahi Tuna Poke, but it was mostly chopped Avocado, with very little Ahi Tuna on top. This was not what was advertised.
My wife's portion of fish was tiny, but expensive. There were more overcooked vegetables on the plate than actual fish.
We had been excited to go to Fleetwoods for dinner, but it was a letdown. Certainly, do not see a reason to go back there.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere
Let's face facts: most people go here to catch a glimpse of a rock legend.
So I wasn't expecting much, which means that I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service here. The waitstaff was energetic and friendly, and the food was superb.
