Eggbreak London Reviews from The Last Year
Tiny little hole in the wall spot that has delicious
Tiny little hole in the wall spot that has delicious breakfast! We were visiting from the USA & as much as we enjoy a pastry on the go-- we truly love our breakfast. Egg Breaks service was fast and efficient and their breakfast was appealing to look at, but even more enjoyable to eat!
Love the fact they do unlimited drip coffee.
But that's where the praise ends. Very expensive considering the portions. Astounding to me that my 2 friends and I each had an entire at £16 with no sides included. I did the Hot Honey French Toast which was marketed as a yummy sweet/savory slop but it was really just bland slop. My one friend at a sweet potato rosti which was more rosti than sweet potato and my other friend did pancakes which would've been better and cheaper at home. Also disappointed that they ran out of tots among other items and didn't tell us until we started ordering.
This place was great.
The atmosphere is cute, the wait time was short, service was fast and personable, and the food was amazing. It's in a pretty location as well.
10/10 experience did not disappoint.
The food options are top tier and the ShakShuka was amazing. Loved the yogurt and quinoa granola as well. Service was even better than the food - shout-out to Emalia (I hope that was her name) for the amazing attentiveness. Great spot for our last breakfast in London
It was okay.
But would I come back and was the wait in line worth it? Probably not. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly why it's so famous, as the food was good but not spectacular-tasting to me. We also got seated in the downstairs (apparently they have two areas) which was decorated nicely and all but still I like sitting in areas that have windows and stuff. Came with a friend from my study abroad program for a catch up, and for food got the Eggbreak special of eggs of potato toast with chicken as well. The food tasted pretty good but portion was a bit small (and I'm smol myself).
Lovely brunch spot in Notting Hill.
We had to wait 30 minutes to sit, but it was a great excuse to explore the area. The place and staff had the best vibes! The menu is super creative and accommodating to people with dietary preferences/restrictions. The prices are on the more expensive side. I opted for the fried chicken sandwich, and OMG! My only regret was not getting two of them!
Good but not great
Expensive for brunch. The dishes are good but not exceptional. The place and the neighborhood remain nice, an “instagramable” restaurant.
Fantastically delicious brunch and wonderful service - our biggest recommendation for this place
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! We had brunch there and tried 3 different dishes. Nothing disappointed! Large portions and delicious, fresh ingredients. And then the service was a huge plus on top of that. A super cozy place where everything just played. And at quite reasonable prices. We would love to come again :)
A total failure
I advise against. Make us wait, then tell us to come back in 45 minutes because there is a long wait. We go for a walk while having our reservation. Once we come back, no one remembers us. The reservation no longer existed. We are asked again to wait 45 minutes. The staff is not welcoming. It's frustrating.
Amazing food
Not long to queue at all Amazing food! Super friendly staff! Great vegetarian options Will definitely come back again
Sunday Breakfast
Super tasty and very friendly service. You have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. The avocado toast is highly recommended.
Discovering Brunch
Starting point excellent welcome Staff, we thank the guys for their courtesy and smiles. An unmissable avo toast, every flavor is well balanced, truly delicious 🤩. Ari's pancakes super! A very pleasant surprise, so much so that three times we delighted in this brunch and with amazement they offered us pancakes 😋 for our presence. I think the photos can speak for themselves. Thank you!
Welcoming venue and staff, Avo toast unmissable
A very nice little place on two floors, the one below is below street level as is normal in England. After the first day, impressed by the goodness of the Avo toast and the kindness of the guys, we returned two more times. Already on the second day we felt like family, on the third they offered us Caramel pancakes. Always very kind and excellent dishes, even the smoothies, juices and porridge are not to be missed.
Good, but expensive!
This place is really very nice, the waiters were very kind, the breakfast was really excellent, we had a pancake, toast, coffee and cappuccino... coffee that didn't taste like coffee, otherwise everything was good, but... it cost us 49 EUR!
Overrated, therefore overpriced
You can see Eggbreak all over as "Must visit in London" and quite frankly I wasn't impressed at all. Had their hot honey french toast that basically tastes like spicy sour cream with honey as that's about it. Not a fan of dill, would've appreciated if it was mentioned on the menu. Service was ok, however been waiting for quite a while and table next to me who ordered later, got their coffee and food significantly earlier. There's no atmosphere, waiters are messing around and teasing each other. Paying by phone, they have 12,5% service charge that cannot be taken off unless requested and check out fee on the top. Would have come again if any other place was closed and I lived on the street, otherwise not.
Very trendy breakfast location in Notting Hill.
They do not take reservations and we waited in line in the rain. The food looks better than it tastes. I wanted to love this place because the employees were so nice and the restaurant was very cute. This is why they get 4 stars instead of three.
Had breakfast at Eggbreak.
...here are my thoughts: Service is very friendly but food takes forever to come out so be prepared to wait a while. Ambiance is nice...we arrived at 10am and the restaurant was moderately full (no wait). We had a nice table for 2 in the back. When we left at about noon there was a lengthy line to get in so plan for a wait if you come at lunch. Food itself is just okay...the Moroccan Superfood Bowl was missing some ingredients, was visually unappealing, lacked flavor/substance and arrived cold. Banana bread is excellent but very sweet so a few bites were enough. My friend had the eggs benedict which she seemed to like. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Overall Egg Break gets more of a 3.5/5. I doubt I'll return.
