DON GULL Lagos Reviews from The Last Year
Average....over graded
Having visited this hotel previously, and really enjoying our stay ,we were really looking forward to our visit. I will first focus on the positives; Excellent location near to everything in Lagos. Great staff, customer service, porterage to room. Excellent breakfasts. Great to have a late checkout time for room, allowing us to store baggage before pick up. Clean comfy room. Negatives; Coffee machine/mini bar in room Great but charges 1 euro 50 for 1 Coffee pod,and overpriced mini alcohol bottles ( none of which we used). Housekeeping missed in our room one of our days, needed to ring reception late at night on return to get clean towels, bedding. On checkout,to our dismay, we're told we had used 6 Coffee pods ! Had not used any,as bought our own instant coffee/travel kettle etc. Had to plead with several at reception, whom eventually waived any charges! Finally, on arrival ,we were shown to our standard room, which was crazily so far away up many dark corridors, lots of stairs, uneven surfaces, and I had told hotel I had mobility probs. We were promptly moved to a closer, more suitable room having to pay extra to upgrade..so people booking with mobility issues, do not book a standard room!!! To sum up, graded a 4 star, I would say more 3 star.
Great Hotel Central to Lagos
Fully enjoyed our 4 night trip to the Tivoli Lagos Hotel, only wished now we had booked for 7! The hotel is on many levels and there are lots of steps so not so good if you are not good at walking, it is also on an incline from the road below. We unfortunately arrived behind a group of 24 lady golfers so to avoid the lengthy wait to check in we explored and found the bar and pool area. Our room was spacious and very clean, decked out in blue and white it had a mini bar and a balcony. Only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities which was a big let down for us as we are up early and the restaurant did not open until 7.30 am. Buffet breakfast was great, a very good choice of items and the quality of the food was excellent not sure that the plates provided are big enough though. We enjoyed the use of the indoor swimming pool too cold for the outdoor one unless you are one of the many seagulls that entertained us with their afternoon swims. Lagos and the Tivoli Lagos Hotel went above our expectations and we will be back,
Good value break.
Room 2107 Our experience was overall very good super location 5 mins from main marina and shops and restaurants, room didn't have a view but was clean, spacious and well appointed, lovely bathroom including a bath full-size, very comfy bed, bedding changed after 3 days, small balcony with table and chairs. As mentioned in other reviews the different levels and stairs maybe an issue for the less mobile. Pool area decking certainly needs attention and the seagulls are definitely a major issue claiming the pool for their own and stealing food off plates of those eating outside. To end on a positive breakfast was very good huge choice and evening buffet very good value, happy hour early evening was a bonus. All staff polite and efficient. If we visit lagos again we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Lovely experience
Excellent hotel ,5 minutes walk to the centre ,spotlessly clean in all area's. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had ,staff very welcoming and friendly.love the idea of a drinks voucher if you decide not to have your cleaned. The only negative was the outdoor pool constantly being full of seagulls! I would highly recommend this hotel ,Well done all at the tivoli
Short stay
Hotel is in an excellent location staff were very friendly from the time we arrived to the time we left. The room allocated to me was very spacious with a very well appointed bathroom and fantastic shower also the bedroom had King size bed which was very comfortable with air conditioning Breakfast Buffet was very good and the evening buffet meal was just ok with limited range of food but very acceptable for what was paid for.I would definitely stay there again.A special mention to Elisa in the restaurant who was so friendly and helpful one of the nicest person you could ever meet a credit to the hotel
Run down needs complete refurbishment
Run down needs complete refurbishment Rooms are 2 star should never be sold as 4 star Plaster falling off everywhere. Pool decking is horrible Water leaking through roof of hotel water on floors Porter who shows you to room just points to door and runs away no help what’s ever And rude Definitely would not recommend to anyone
Good Budget Hotel
The staff were very nice and the actual hotel was rather charming - quite old fashioned but very Portuguese which was lovely. There were pros and cons. Pros - good location, excellent eco initiative if you don't have housekeeping in you get a couple of drinks vouchers in exchange, great portuguese restaurant on site, good location for many golf courses and a safe room for your clubs. Cons, some rooms overlook the carpark, the cupboard doors bang close and when your neighbours do that in the early hours it is very annoying! It would be nice to have robes and as there are a lot of golfers a TV channel that shows golf! Parts of it need some updating, but it looks like work is being done. All in all a good budget hotel with a very good Indian restaurant 'The Curry Leaf' just across the road.
Generally a good place to stay
This hotel gets mixed reviews and I can see why, some parts are excellent some the opposite. By and large out experience, for our needs, was positive. Great location for central Lagos and with car parking. It is quirky, sitting on the side of a hill, there are various buildings built on different levels which can be confusing. I liked that it was almost a throwback to the older styles of Portugal rather than the soulless modern square glass edifices springing up all over the Algarve and Southern Spain. Check in was ok, but being shown to our room was not so much fun when the porter got lost. We had 2 suitcases and 2 golf travel bags to manipulate up stairs and into a small lift. The superior rooms were comfortable, but as others mention €2 per coffee pod used is frankly absurd. No milk provided either. Our superior room had a good view of the car park and the refuse bins. Tivoli, please consider some screening to hide those bins. Staff were generally fine, helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was a good standard buffet but with no changes to the menu over the week we stayed. Some variety would be excellent. Outdoor pool was mainly used by gulls. Finding the indoor pool and gym was an expedition with vague signage. Can't comment on evening meals as we went out but the bar was usually quiet. Quiet that is except for the taped monotone lady vocalist which was constantly played at breakfast and in the evening bar. She made all genres of music into a soporofic dirge. Tivoli please dump this dreary backing music!!

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
